I think he suffered because of others not with Big Hit Label or the members. They had such a hard time at the beginning, and he had a lot of responsibilities, and there was a lot on his plate. They got so much hate from others companies, Korean artist, and other group fans. The boys have always respected him as the leader, he was named leader from the beginning.

About the moment when they ask about “kpop bands” it’s not him being scary/serious with other members, but more so him just being a true leader and handling the situation well. Look how he fake laughs so quick after they answer “bts” just so they can move on to the next question.
He’s got really good understanding of the situations and handles them well.
I have a question though. I have noticed they restrain themselves from mentioning other artists, even though they were free to mention them in their early days. Why can't they do it anymore?

@@andsprite7071 i think its cause every time they used to mention kpop groups other fandoms would attack them and i think the companies in the big 3 at least make their artists isolate from bts like by not showing up to award shows after bts started winning not showing reaction when bts performed etc idk i always feel like theres a lot of tension between bts and other groups bc of companies and fandoms but maybe its cause i know everything the fandoms and companies did/do.
all i know is bts said they used to be mocked by older groups when they were rookies up until wings era so who knows who bts are actually cool with and who they arent.

imo, the “namjoon leader moments that lowkey intimidate me” video is better (although it’s extremely similar) just because it showed that scene in one of their movies where taehyung and jin fought and how namjoon handled it. Wish you saw that too :]
he was still a teenager when he was made the leader of the group and he didn't always know what to do but he always put the group first and to this day thanks bts for putting their trust in him as a leader and I think that's just absolutely heartwarming

I agree. His leadership skills are admirable. He can mold himself depending on the situation as well. He knows when there is a need to be serious then he needs to be serious. But when they are crackheads and having fun he is just like them. He’s not acting any different because he is “the leader”.

This video depicts that he looks scary but he is showing his authority of a leader, respect. He is the leader for a reason. He is smart and knows how to represent their group and their label. They have been through alot, especially RM and he wants to make sure to protect their actions and words before it is misunderstood. People are quick to jump the gun, just watching and waiting to put them under, they have endured alot of haters along their success. Even with what they have accomplished to this day, there's never enough validation with the haters, he just wants to make sure that they are not making any mistakes that people can use against them and if anything, protecting his members. If you truly pay attention to more of their videos, he's carried alot of weight for the members, have protected them and been the rock to carry all the pain in silence. He rarely cries since he does not want the members to worry yet helps support them by always using his strong words of encouragement, he definitely is someone that deserves to be worthy of a leader. Someone so unselfish and does not use their authority as an advantage but to help motivate others to the top.

RM and Jin and even Hobi can all take on the roles of the adults in the room when the guys get too riled or cross lines. Truthfully he's so good at understanding situations and reading rooms that they trust him to pull them back when they need to be pulled back and that allows them to really be themselves and have fun without being too self-conscious. I think RM sees it in this light too. But he takes on these burdens so that they don't have to and they can enjoy themselves. The lovely thing is is that all of them have responded to his attitude by wanting to help him and take the burden off of him.
Most of the time he is so nice with them, I honestly never see him get seriously mad
people have accused bts of plagiarism so many times all of them were bullshit. majority of the time it was kpop fandoms who accused and made media pick it up and some artists were dumb enough to believe it without looking into it themselves. which is why they barely mention kpop groups anymore. plus every time they did say they liked a kpop group that groups fans would either attack them or become delusional and start dating rumors. dating is considered a scandal many companies have dating bans for kpop groups bts however does not have a ban but they still dont wanna get into a "scandal".
bts mention so many korean artists like kpop soloists, trot singers, ballad singers, k hip hop artists, k r&b artists etc they just barely mention kpop groups besides txt for obvious reasons.
remember what the mistreatment of bts video said the big companies try to sabotage they have control of media reporters, journalists, tv broadcasters etc ARMYS call it mediaplay which is basically fabricated or exaggerated media usually negative articles would be posted about bts or there would be articles like are ____group the next bts? or downplaying bts achievements to lift up other groups. NO other korean artist pulls the same numbers or has the same achievements as bts. theres also many graphs on twitter showing how much higher bts is than all of kpop combined. just wanted to let you know because american media has been trying to do the same thing korean media does with the fake articles its just laughable because when you compare everything you see exactly where theyre fabricating.
I think I would say he is more professional and good with leadership rather than "scary".

About the plagiarism accusation, I think it was something to do with the clothes they wore (the artist claimed they were similar to the ones he used on some manicans in his gallery). I actually checked out the piece he claimed was plagiarized out of pure curiosity and....It's questionable. Maybe the color palettes are similar, but it's literally just the BTS members taking pics in the woods. Idk, it's just a huge stretch. Of course this is old news and bh already worked out any legal alligations with the artist

He pays attention to all of them and makes sure to look at each and everyone of them in the eye when they speak even while listening to the others. In this situation, he is noticing the little eye tag between Tae and JK and Tae messing around, so he makes sure to say to Tae, did you get that. I would not say that it is scary, but if they mess up, Namjoon knows where to hit the nail.

I thought it was interesting when you mentioned about art and plagiarism. I think there's a lot of debate over that, but I did read an article for a course about how art derives from other works and that it's built upon and changed and inspired. I personally do agree that there should be some leeway depending on the circumstances because there IS stuff that was inspired by something else but others also added their own twists or addition to it that made it different at the same time. If it is just another copy of the same thing being passed off as its own, I might have an objection though. If we all had to make something wholly original, we would miss out on a LOT of art, animations, shows, and other things that are loved by many today.

The artist made a comment saying he wondered if they did get inspiration from his art- He never actually accused BTS of anything, but then you got the antis who swooped in and made a fuss. BigHit got in touch with the artist to work out the situation. He was credited more openly, BigHit apologized to him and told him they never intended to slight him in any way. In the end it all worked out and it really wasn't the big commotion that YG magazine's press people were trying to make it out to be.

That scene is actually what artists have imagined and painted the Mad Hatter's tea party scene in Alice in wonderland. That artist should be happy no one challenged him for copying mad hatters tea party setting. If you google with these words and check the images you will see a whole lot but you can check out the ones outside in nature.

I say this as an ARMY who also happens to be a YG stan.....if that question did come from YGE (not sure how because they don't have their own press but I digress) YGE had no room to be throwing stones, they've had to fight plagiarism accusations over the years on behalf of their artists too.

Namjoon is not scary at all. He's smart, he's responsible, he tries to be assertive... But he's more of a diplomatic person and he's not agressive. When he's genuinely annoyed at an interviewer or someone being offensive, he tends to be super passive-agressive or sarcastic, but he's not scary. BTS members seem to be most intimidated by J Hope, who can be pretty strict, but I think that's mostly because they have him in such high esteem, that they don't wanna disapoint him. BTS are also more careful with Suga's boundaries, but that may be because he's introverted and has told them he needs more space than other people, so being considerate decreases conflicts.
They all handled the plagiarism question very well. There is a video called "BTS putting disrespectful people in their place" or something like that. There is more footage about the whole plagiarism question in this video. While I'm here, BTS came from basically nothing despite the constant attacks, to being the #1 best selling artist in the world. That small orange box on the Gramnys line up best be saying 'BTS'

The plagiarism was really a serious thing but yoongi handles the question very well. Because people always use that plagiarism card to ruin bts, even something that's not plagiarism, people make something up because they find it similar even they did not copy anything. People do everything to ruin their career so they have to be careful on what they're saying because even though they didn't mean any harm on what they're saying, people can use that to ruin them and yoongi really did well handling that question.

They have to be really careful of scandals and just the reaction of passionate or immature fans and netizens. They have to be careful not to start fan wars by favoring one group or ever another or bringing hate down on some group from the fans that feel that their group has slighted. I mean the fan wars can get really toxic. It's the same with if they show interest in that girl publicly especially if it's a celebrity. That just is so much trouble. Two years ago Jungkook got his tattoos and he was on at at a movie theater and ran in to his tattoo artist a very pretty woman a good 7 or 10 years older than him with her friends and of course having so much work done he became close with this tattoo artist and someone used the CCTV footage to make photos to leak.
He had his chin on her shoulder while standing behind her and listening to someone in front of them. And that one photo destroyed her career and brought her constant death threats and harassment for the next months. These seven boys have learned how careful they have to be of crazy people who consider themselves fans but are just delusional. When you have millions and millions of fans you're bound to have some real crazies in there.

Long story short a photographer said they plagiarised his photoshoots concept. But when Wings came out he didn't say anything. He started whining (yes, whining) They said he was sending emails to Bighit demanding compensation and apology. it was 2 years after when they became more famous worldwide. Why he waited for so long? And he didn't do it legally he just started complaining online. But as Suga said BigHit is handling the situation. When the photographer saw he is not going to benefit himself from this situation he quickly flipped the coin and apologized by writing a letter saying he didn't mean to say they plagiarised his photos and he was actually flattered and honored that they were inspired by his work. Which didn't happen BTS wasn't inspired by his work.
If any of this is wrong, please correct me because I'm not 100% sure these were the facts. And excuse my English I know I have mistakes but I'm trying and I know you understand what was my point so whatever, bye :)
the plagiarism thing was probably a set up by YG entertainment (that's why their reporter asked that) and it's a French artist claiming BTS copied his painting in a mv scene. the art was a table and in the mv theres a scene with a table that's supposed to represent 'the last supper' 🥴

The plagiarism thing was so stupid. I looked it up after I saw this video. It wasn't even about their music. This French photographer said some photos they took for their albums were similar to photos he'd taken and wanted them to credit him. Which 1) photo concepts aren't really the boys' purview, and 2) the similarity was basically that they were outside, sometimes in a line, had a campfire in one photo and a long dining table in another photo. I'm not a lawyer, but that doesn't seem like the sort of thing you can copyright.
That industry is built on influence from other music but seems obsessed with calling everything plagiarism, which tells me that they were always behaving in bad faith at the beginning. I love when artists including each other: isn't that the ultimate dream as an artist?
