@@andreyd.6801 I would love to see this same type of video once you're tuned. You said it would be with downpipes so I'm assuming stage 2? I can't find any video of a facelift CLS stage 1 or 2 with a launch control + dragy. Reason I'm interested is because I want to know the times for when I get my 63. Also, what percentage tint are you running on the front and rear windows?

@@andreyd.6801 Can't wait for the upload. I never knew Renntech did a TCU tune for the CLS63. But with both tunes, I think the 0-60 would be around 2.6. The quarter mile results would be amazing lol.

What is the reliability of this car ? Can you do a full break down on what to look for on these cars when buying one used and what maybe you have replaced since you bought yours
I have a 2013 CLS 63. Overall it's very reliable but there are some electric gremlins that can be annoying but not a deal breaker. Like any car, if you take care of it and do the required maintenance, you should have years of pleasure.
@@shelbyhaiketic4212 I went with eurocharged. Took my car from 11.6 - 11.7 to 11.2 - 11.3 My best run was 11.24 at 126 mph. My car is stock with just a stage 1 tune. Down pipes and intake next along with stage 2 tune.
This is with about 650-700 hp. The CLS63S is a heavy boat compared to its chassis sharing E63 sibling. CLS is about 145 lbs more. Surprisingly the newer heavier E63S with its 4.0 TT V8 0-60: 3.2 sec, runs circles around the older pre 2018 CLS/E M5’s are where it’s at if you want a beast in acceleration and handling.
The AMG E55 was the last true BMW M5 beater stock for stock. Seems bmw has taken back the performance title while AMG has gone back to more luxury than performance.
@@partisan-bobrykYall have had the sane interior design minus the Screen for like 10+ years 💀 the new Mercedes interior is weak because of all the Display but before they went all digital MERCEDES HAS ALWAYS HAD THE BEST INTERIOR.
I just want to keep up with my neighbors 2020 X5 M50i. The 4.4 TT 523 hp V8 in that is closer to 560:hp but it’s in a 5300 lb brick and those still dust a stock 577 hp 4400 lb CLS63S. Actually I’ve been told Benz/AMG over rates their power and bmw under rates theirs.
Trans and engine in “sport+” and suspension in race start, all traction off. Brake boost for no more than a few seconds. The only reason the E63 is quicker is it has a slippery shape, better aero than the CLS in front. And the E is supposedly 100-200 lbs lighter. The rwd models from 2011-13 are actually quicker above 80. I thought the CLS was a rebody E but I guess not. Would figure no pano roof would save 50 lbs.
So from all the tuners out there, seems the 63S models of the E/CLS awd have around 550 hp/513 tq, not 575-585 hp & 580-590 tq. That would make sense. Because the older 5.5 TT V8's never could accelerate to 60 mph in under 3.7 sec. The new 603 hp 4.0 TT V8 does the deed in 3.3 or 3.2 sec. That car is actually over rated on power as well but only by about 12-15 hp or so. Its around 585 hp and the tq is actually closer to 570-580 lb-ft. The Regular F10 M5 had 553 hp, rwd only and did 0-60 in 3.6 sec. The 2018+ 600 hp base M5 now does the deed in 3.1 sec while the 617 hp M5 Comp does 2.8 sec as does the M5CS. I have, after seeing the 0-60, 0-100 and 0-130 numbers and 1/4 trap speeds and over 50 dynos of 2014 to 2018 E63S and CLS63S, and BMW F10 M5 and F90 M5 all variants, that AMG over rates their vehicles power for a selling point vs BMW which effectively under rates their M cars power and then the performance numbers verify these numbers out with the AMG's and M car's. I was going to get a AMG but now its going to be a M5. 2018 M5 Comp.
I have had a friend tell me about a CLS63 with bigger turbos and all the bolt on goods do 0-60 in 2.6 sec with over 950 hp so how can. Car and Driver get 2.6 sec from a heavy 4700 lb Porsche Panamera Turbo S with 620 hp and 604 tq 4.0 TT V8 in 2019?. Things just don’t add up. But AMG was more about performance and luxury whereas BMW M is focused on performance over luxury but still has decent luxury levels.
And the 5.5 TT V8 and the old 6.2 V8 are very problematic vs the bmw 4.4.... I hear the newer AMG 4.0 TT V8 is even worse now too. Pretty bad when a stock 520 hp 2017 BMW 550i-x can beat a 63-S AMG car (E or CLS) to 60, to 80 even to 100 mph.
Just a little fyi, 60 mph is not fast at all. 0-60 acceleration is times are called quick, fast is a reference to top speed or how fast is it in the 1/4mi, as in trap speeds. Fast does not refer to times. Now, as for the actual video here, these cars are not very quick when using RS (race start) on the street. It’s meant for drag launches with drag tires or slicks. The quickest acceleration with no bogging down on initial launch is brake boosting it in S+ (aka sport plus). My 2013 which was rwd ran 4.1 sec 0-60 in 60* air. Also, they were all rwd only until 2014 but had the P30 performance pack option which later became called “S”, had the same 577 hp and 590 tq. But swapping out oem tires for sticky, warmed up street tires my 0-60 dropped to 3.7 and going with some good m&h race drag tires, time dropped to 3.52 sec best in 64 degree temps. I then had a 2017 obviously S model was 4matic by default, no more rwd. 5he awd adds almost 190 lbs to it. And newer technology. It’s was the same as your car here in this vid using RS, however knowing what I did, went to sport+ and some old fashioned brake boosting and 0-60 came down to 3.5 on street tires. On this drag tires, 3.34 sec. With a Stg 2 tune and some other upgrades, no rear seats, and some other lightening, got it down to 4240 lbs from 4550 stock, 1/4 fuel, no pano roof, base interior, my 0-60 times dropped to a best of 2.89 sec. Bigger turbos or hybrids will put you into the 720-740 awhp/850+ crank hp range, keep torque low and the trans will survive. 800 awhp/930 crank hp is to much without trans rebuilt for strength, gen unless torque is kept down. Good brake boost launch will put you in the 2.5 to 2.6 sec range to 60 mph and mid to low 10’s at over 134 in the 1/4, possibly high 9’s with a weight loss plan.
I am more curious about the place you live, the view of the beginning of the video is great! Where is it?
