Such a complex topic that you were able to simplify. Well done 👏

Thank you for this fella. Noticed you getting quite allot of shite from people on the short you put up. I practice wim hof method daily but I completely see why this information is vital to know. Keep up the good work ☀️

Thanks Sonny. Yeah. It seems if anyone says that there are any problems WHM then the cult like followers eat you alive. 😂

@@dfasht1304 thanks for the feedback. I see that you have no content at all, so I’m doubting you have any experience what it’s like to try and get some views for your videos. Something that ties directly to the my livelihood.
I’m happy to take some risks and try new things. If you look at the full short promoting this video you will notice that the last three words do not show, this was not intended. That has made the title more click bait and that has fast become a video that is getting regular attention.
I’ll take your criticism on board and continue to create valuable content for all the others who are willing to watch and engage.

@@dfasht1304 what are you on about? What's your actual problem? Point out the exact issue you have. You're commenting on a video that even Wim himself says the same

Thank you for simplifying something that is easily complicated. I've never nailed this breathing down exactly to get the end results everyone raves over, but it does relax me and is as close to meditative focus as I've come across. It seems to enhance both my cold plunge and my exercise. When I was a kid I could hold my breath long enough to swim underwater the length of a swimming pool down and back five or six times. My lung capacity is not what it used to be so I find any kind of breathing technique that trains my lungs to be useful.

    I appreciate your info.
So if his breathing exercise doesn't help one attain the benefit of holding their breath longer, what exactly are the benefits? What are the scientific, tangible benefits?
Because I've done the exercise twice and felt really good both times I completed it. I felt like I was high, like I took a small dose of pain killer that lasted for 5-10 minutes. But I would like to know the numbers and the terms of what's actually going on in the body when the exercise is done.

Thanks for your comment. The method induces a stress response, which releases adrenalin, dopamine, etc. It's a similar feeling to a runner's high or how you feel after a hard workout. I will do another video on this

Im a nurse and have a O2 monitor at home you place on your finger. I was curious how/if the O2 levels dropped during the breath hold. I am doing his beginner level and do not hold for that long, a little over a minute max at this point, but the O2 level dropped into the low 80s. Thats low. I have very healthy lungs and this was just an experiment because I was curious. Just sharing.

Hi Beth, thanks for your comment. This is because when you hyperventilate you create an alkalosis state which means that oxygen is going to stay bound to red blood cells. Oxygen delivery is therefore reduced to the peripherals such as fingers, and thus your O2 sats can drop much faster during the breath holds.

Is it safe to do the wim hof method? As long as we are in a safe place?
