We use these for shovel push downs and placing dirt on the structures in the mine , can push a 797 load in 2 push’s 450 tons of dirt 👌👍

That is one sexy tractor. With so much electronics in it I wonder how it holds up in the long run. Especially in a mine application running on rock all the time. I can vision a few faulty wiring harnesses in the future.

These things are not made to last forever unlike their predecessors its because their is so many new models coming out all the time so it's not economical to make them like they used to because it will be outdated in 10 years.

I spent 3 summers in a d11 and let me tell y'all it is one stout sob. About the only thing remotely close is a 460 Komatsu iirc that's the model wayne had.

I got the opportunity to run a D10 t some time ago , I was asked if I had run dozer and years back I had some logging road work with td25 & D8 . Then working with well seasoned old cat skinner, there were a handful of “tips or do not’s” as I will recall and one was , during the course of ripping rock in tight rows ( a foot or so apart ) to maintain a straight rip and not jump out of your slot , use the tip of you blade angle to keep your course dipping as needed to stay in the slot. This would save the steering brake or clutches from burning up ? On the newer D10 I was told to use the clutches ? Seems like that would still hold true , although the idea of rip spacing every foot 5’ deep in solid rock on 100 acres in three directions for 12 hrs 7 days a week
The novelty of running a big dozer was checked off my bucket list after a day or two ! I can only describe it like being in a bad car wreck , or 800 hp pushing 100 tons and your the shock absorber.
They are amazing machines
