Cracking band. I was working in London when I first heard 'My Girl'. Blew me away. A few months later, I was working in Dublin, when Madness played at the Olympia Ballroom. 'Night Boat To Cairo' was high in the charts. The whole performance, the band, audience, the divers off the balcony..... was fuelled up with adrenaline and enjoyment. Fantastic night, best gig/show I've ever been to.
They should do because they’ve written and performed some of the best songs in British pop history. Extremely accomplished musicians and totally unique.
Age has caught up with Suggs in the last few years, bless him. For many years he never seemed to age - even as recent as around 2007 when he did those Birdseye fish finger adverts, he still had a boyish look about him, but in the last 10-12 years, the age seemed to start creeping up on him. I love the man and long may Madness continue - they are part of the soundtrack to me growing up in the 70s and 80s.
Absolutely love them! Saw them a few weeks ago at Blackheath and they were amazing 😊 the way they interact with the crowd and the performance was superb ❤ Can't wait for the next gig in London I will be there ❤❤❤
Fantastic band. Been following them since the start when I was a kid. My nickname is Soggz, after Suggs. I’ve seen them a few times, in the earlier ‘Skinhead, Ska, days of 2Tone’. I think that was when the were at their very best. But they are still good, although I think they have dumbed down the Ska beat a lot. All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
Phenomenal, after all these years and Madness still trying to stitch up the poor BBC...who the hell put forward the photo from their infamous "topless girls with bananas" performance of Embarrassment as the backdrop. Surprised they didn't go whole hog and opt for one of their Jim'll Fix It appearances!
Another promotion of a tour, it’s usually a book, film, theatre appearance or anything else to promote & give free advertising. FYI I like Suggs & his crew!
Madness should be headlining the Saturday slot at next year's Glastonbury instead if reports are true Madonna, they've earned that right with everything they've done and continue to do
How is their music racist?....their music is based on ska and reggae of black origin. The skins were infiltrated by far right groups back in the day to cause division.

Time flies! Madness' heyday seems like yesterday. I saw them in concert in Los Angeles mid-'80s.
I love the fact that they have never taken themselves too seriously.
I know them, grew up with them..waz in the same gang...you are spot on my friend.. Money comes 2nd as well.. i see you are true fan by what you said.

He voted Remain and called leavers small minded.
Who cares about politics 🥱🥱💤💤
I liked how they always did funny skits mentioning the songs title on the music videos
Totally awesome, Madness Mania 💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻
Such a great band, stands still as a three, a little old and grey, but still love them, Madness forever ❤

When will you come for a gig in France?
LOL Suggs looks like he had to pull an all-nighter to get to the interview on time!
"Pull an all-nighter"....wanker.
@@ohdear2001 Do you always sign your comments with your nickname? 🤔
Knowing Suggsy, that's a possibility.
@@frankie3041
excellent comeback I have to say. The chin rub emoji spoiled it though, wanker 😆
Suggs often thanks Mr. Pharmacist at gigs
Saw Madness at Wembley when love struck came out and at the Byron Blues Festival a couple of years ago , what fabulous times

Very refreshing interview. Love the new album.
Spot on mate.. few people here picking on suggs...we are just getting old that's all
used to be Suggs & Chas Smash/Cathal/Carl who did most of the interviews
Really miss Carl, wish he'd come back.
Great interview, glad they're back!
They were never gone
@@charliekane135they were, when they broke up
@@gooses___ briefly from 86 to 92

Suggs suddenly looking like that time Cliff Richards was never looking his age and then.
Suggs has aged in just a year. Haven't we all
Spot on.
I think he's got a cold 🙂 ... as his voice is "coaky" 🙂.
.
Good bloke though !!!!!
You can see that they we´re tired at that early time in the morning, but it´s actually a great band!

SUGGS MADNESS LEGENDS GREAT BAND INC UB40 WITH ALI
Phenomenal, after all these years and Madness still trying to stitch up the poor BBC...who the hell put forward the photo from their infamous "topless girls with bananas" performance of Embarrassment as the backdrop. Surprised they didn't go whole hog and opt for one of their Jim'll Fix It appearances!
Suggs gets more and more "ian Dury" by the song
It started with The Kilburns and the highroads my friend.
Surely that was the dark humour the polio and love of S.G.V!
I wonder if Chaz will ever come back to the band??
He hit suggs...but he should be there for the final stage of mad ness
Down to earth guy, fame never changed him 😊.
Love Madness...
cannot stand those presenters, worst double act since Donny and Marie...Ugh !
The good old boys

Such a great band. Too bad they weren’t nearly as successful here in the States.
FUN FUN ✌🏼🌈
Yes it's Madness but who are the chaps on the left.
Lifelong fan go on suggs razza x
`40 years in the business..` What??? and the rest. Do your homework, please.
Sunglasses and coat … morning show
the usual BBC falseness - ugh!
Such a shame chas decided to leave, they should have stuck together, and where is ches nutty roadie.
Garry God Speed.
?
BBC breakfast seriously cannot represent the common man in the UK,?
I'm thinking about mmmmmm 409 gallons of whisky..? since money no object jackpot. Not having a go, just jealous.
What is that thing wearing a mask? The presenter
Suggs looking abit rough,
Love it STAY NUTTY
Suggs looking a bit worse for wear,😅
Good fun band for the youngsters but remember seeing a lot of skinheads at their gigs and a slight racism undertone in their music
How is their music racist?....their music is based on ska and reggae of black origin. The skins were infiltrated by far right groups back in the day to cause division.
Name one song of theirs that had racist undertones?? I bet you can’t.
Jesus they look old now
Yea but then I look in the mirror
Breaking morning news ffs what happened to England mugs ppppffffff
