There are vids on UA-cam that are 12 hours long for beginners using Kali , since they're ripped from paid courses your only going to get the bare minimum basics throughout each topic discussed in videos like that. Which sounds like just what you need, then you can come back with a better understanding of whats happening, how , and why and quickly get to an intermediate level. I would recommend learning the toolkits one at a time. Really the best place to start is learning networking protocols , pretty much sysadmin stuff, you have to know how it works before you can break it.
Something about your calm demeanor makes me think of the kind of person who would let you go in line in front of them then go home and hack your car to drive off a cliff in between hunting Pokémon. As it should be. :)

This only works for discoverable devices, so if the devices are already paired when you scan it won't find them? (like btscanner, bluelog, etc) I've hit a bit of a roadblock trying to find MAC addresses of paired devices, any input is appreciated!

If you have wireshark install then it most likely came with “WinPcap” so uninstall this from your host machine as it sticks all usb connections to the host machine and doesnt allow for VM’s to capture the wlan card
