Don’t know if anyone brought this up but you have to hold the button longer to get a better throw to base. All your throws are red. under the player hold the button until it’s green for a better throw.
Also I don't know if Drewski set this up on purpose, but anything the opposing pitcher throws outside of the zone has an indicator that it's a ball right when the ball is released. It's a lot more fun to me when you don't know if the pitch you're swinging at is inside or outside of the strike zone.
@@605bernhard pretty sure Drew doesn’t know what all can be turned on or off. Likely he just switched the difficulty to sophomore and went with whatever was already on or off. He’s not the expert for a reason.
Just for some trivia, the Saint Louis Cardinals actually once sent 3’7 Eddie Gaedel out to hit in the hopes that he would draw a walk with the small strike zone. Wearing the bat boy’s jersey, Gaedel did just that, retiring with a perfect 100% on base percentage
It's fine if he's on the team. You got everything unlocked, use it all to win. Any AD/coach would keep David on the team to win. And you showed David's not perfect despite ratings because...David
The doubles by Hamel is him just hitting it into the ground and then it bounces over the fence. We have seen some big homerun power but not ground rule double power.
I love watching your videos because unlike other youtubers you take a light and fun approach instead of intense got to win games. Keep it up and thanks for brightening up my day each time I see your videos.
If you like playing with cheat code type players that do awesome stuff, (run fast, bunt homers with huge bats, hit it 1000 feet, throw crazy pitches) you should play triple play baseball 2000 for PlayStation. There’s a simple cheat code to get an all star team with the developers names as the players. It’s pretty great.
Hey Drew, when throwing to a base, if you hold down the button and release when the marker is in the green, it won’t be an error like on that last place from Hamel.
David Hamel actually used to be named Pablo Sanchez. Pablo was known as the greatest little leaguer of all time. Pablo had a rough home life and ended up finding his way into foster care where he was adopted by his new parents, Rebecca and Cole. Cole wanted to focus on his pitching but Pablo said that he was a fielder. Not wanting to carry the burden of his family name he had it legally changed, both his first and his last name to do all he could to escape it. In doing so the player we now call David fell under the radar to a majority of D1 schools. That is until big daddy Drewski , not the expert, took over as a Clucker. David reached out to Drew and explained the situation and Drew offered him a full ride on the spot. Now come with me as we follow along David’s career in our latest installment of “Where are They Now: Pablo Sanchez”
With the extreme exit velocity of the ball from the bat, I think the few ground rule doubles were actually balls that hit into the ground ad then bounced over the wall but looked like they just were homerun. The ball he swung at when that happened were low.
Keep David in the starting lineup and try to see if there are any other unlockable players as well and just run this thing as much as possible go all the way.
ive been playing MVP 2007 again a lot recently lmao. this video reminds me of the cheat you could put in, in Triple Play 98' to play as the EA Sports Dev Team. there was a dude on the team named "Mike "Swanny" Swanson" that was this size, but would hit DINGERS like this. and you could actually bunt home runs. he also ran the bases like sonic the hedgehog. lmao. i couldn't find any gameplay footage of it on here, sadly. if you can find footage of it, it's actually hilarious. there was also an automatic hr cheat you could enter, and i *did* find a video of someone batting as Otix Nixon bunting a hr for 739 ft. lmfao. the memories these old games bring back lmfao.
in MLB 2000 by 989 Sports (REMEMBER THEM?!), creating a player named Scott Murray would make a 7'6 player who always hit 755 foot home runs, even when bunting. Old cheat codes were weird.
I'd say keep David on the team, but as a bench player that you can't bring into a game until the 6th or later.. when you need a big hit to either get back into a game or when you need to create some insurance runs. Funny as hell to watch though
This is my favorite series of yours. I think it's bc of my love for college baseball. I really wish we could get a new baseball game before football not even joking
In order to throw accurately you have to hold the analog stick in the direction of the base until the throw meter fills to green. Just letting you know because it seems like you always release it on red right away.
I googled David Hamel and he is an owner of a Chic-Fil-A franchise so it's fitting he plays for the Cluckers lol
😂
Chic fil a is the best fast food
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yooo really

St. Louis Browns actually. They’re now the Orioles. Also it’s 1.000 OBP.

David isn't a great fielder. That's why he's balanced
I died laughing when he hit the home run
I really need to stop reading comments before I watch the video
Drew’s reactions always kill me😂
738 feet took me out. The line drive homer was hilarious too
Which one
@@evanthegoat962 the ground rule double(s)
Is it fair? No. Does it make for a more entertaining game? Absolutely.

I’d like but u have 222. Can not change it
So right

Day 1 one of asking you to make a whole team of David Hamels and simulate the season
This must happen!!
rewatching this entire series never gets old
“That’s a souvenir for a kid in china”
😂😂😂
I think David Hamel's offense makes up for his middle school defense. Keep the lad in there!
More like toddler defense.
David has earned his spot on the team, now we just need a fat tall speedster with no power but all the contact!
Yeah, i commented we needed a speedy max height 1b, though i wanted to see him emaciated looking, in honor of the late Manute Bol.
@@demonkingbadger6689 Instead of manute bol, we could just have Usain Bolt.
@@TornaitSuperBird manute bolt😉

Love how you have a time stamp for the ad!
It isn’t fair to have David Hamel on your team. But it’s way funnier to have him and it’s more fun to watch you win a game or two on occasion lol
David hammel is so fun to watch and video games are supposed to be fun😂🤟
Drewski, if you hold the throw untill it gets into the green you throw it hard, and with perfect accuracy. Just tapping it won't throw it hard.
David Hammel is fair I think. But lower his fielding rating massively to balance it out
I love this series
This is one of my favorite series you’ve done so far
Man. I think this series is great!!
I think you should use your new character as a pinch hitter for when your either up by a lot or down by a lot
Bro what is that sound effect you use at 11:33 ? It kills me every time.
Love the older sports games. The college baseball game content could take off right now with regionals going on! Loved the NCAA football series!
3:41 holy crap 679 feet
Make a stadium with the tallest walls and really long and see if he can hit a homer

Been using this cheat code since I got that cheat code book from the book fair at school in 2006...still is the most entertaining code ever lol
If u pay close attention to the ball when its called a ground rule double it does hit the ground immediately

There was a similar thing for one of the Triple Play games (I wanna say 98?), including the bunt home runs
A NTE upload: "I dig that"
Put him as a pinch hitter, then make multiple clones to just hit homers when ur down by 10 or something
Definitely need to see the tallest player you can possibly make added to the team for the Bol + Bogues dynamic!
Hemel should def be your Pinch Hitter. Bring him in if you're down by more than 3 after the 7th.
Not the expert uploads is beautiful
Fair is fair because you’re playing to get the best team in the league in the game sometimes there

David Hamel is a beast and a legend
it is fair because it is funny and to me that is what the whole thing is about
Mike Piazza's Strikezone '98(?) had some crazy cheats and you could already hit 800ft bombs normally.
David Hamel has earned his place on the team.
Yes it is fair with David Hamel
Last time I was this early Tom Adamo was scoring touchdowns at ugf
The fucking legend, Tom adamo. With the Adamodome named after him, which isn’t even a dome. The guy was that fucking good..
