I’m sorry…..I get it that Paris is trying to be sustainable, and that there’s still tourism going on…..but Paris has more than enough money, and they definitely have more than enough hotels. Why they couldn’t pick like several hotels to book out for the athletes and then have the Olympic village be for the homeless idk. It’s also messed up that they’re being given cardboard beds, and no actual proper air conditioning.
The hotels are alreeady near full for the olympics. And for reasons pf security, lifestyle, equality, exchanges between athletes and organisation. A closed olympic village is way better.
