Thank you so much! I've learned so much from this project and I think I've enjoyed doing faceups most of all. I certainly didn't think I'd reach a point where I could do this, so I'm happy with how far I've come this year. ^^
Wow the eyebrows ate on point. They have a natural masculine look to them and very realistic. I must say that doll is so handsome my goodness. What a find! Great job on the faceup! And good for you on redoing his faceup, that takes some courage to go back and redo something that had so much work done on it. Which by the way I couldn't see. I'll have to scour your old vids to see what I missed, apparently my notifications were off! I guess I get to binge watch your vids then lol Congrats again! I'm excited for you to see your project completed ^_^
Well, these videos are sped up quite a bit but I find eyelashes are much easier for me to do than eyebrows. :) The brush I use for them is a Loew-Cornell script liner in size 18/0. I found it at the local Michaels craft store back when I worked there. I liked it so well I bought two! I've never found another brush that does fine strokes quite so well.
They're not too extreme, though his face is rounder now... his nose and chin had to be sanded down a bit after he had a fall. :) I will dig through my old photos of him and see if I can find some good ones for a proper comparison.
I love this channel so much! and I'm really interested in rune's modification story, but it's a bit hard to track down all the videos. would you mind making him a playlist?
I have thought about it... I've actually written a whole book telling his story, but I've not been able to find an agent willing to take it on. Several have told me they like the idea and they like my writing, but nobody wants to represent epic fantasy right now. They only want short books. Maybe someday!
+Lomi's Playground that sounds fascinating. Would you ever think to try to self publish or do like a Kickstarter? I've heard of some BJD artist use Patreon to get support from the public. I think it's like they support you on a monthly basis and you provide them extra content that wouldn't otherwise be available. Maybe you could post your book that way? I'm sorry that I don't really know how it works but the fact that you've created a character and a story (a world even?) around this character I find really intriguing. I'm surprised publishers are not taking to your book though. It seems like the subject people would be interested (with game of thrones and all the Marvel movies and Harry Potter, fantasy seem in now) One thing that seems to be a growing trend (or maybe just to me) are Otome Games. If you've never heard of it just imagine Choose Your Own Adventure books but as a visual novel and then instead it's choose your own romantic partner and see how the story ends. I don't know the background to your story so I don't know if it'll have a romantic theme to it or not but that's the kind of thing that might get their attention. Having said that I would never want you to question the integrity of your work! I guess these things just take more time. Good luck though, the work you've done here so far is amazing!
