Finally a topic I've been searching for so long!! It's even quite hard to ink one's own pencils with all those ghost lines! This definitely helped broaden my knowledge as an aspiring inker! Thank you so much for this one!!
I talked to Tim Townsend and his number one tip for becoming an inker is learning how to draw. I think that applies well to ghost lines because it would help determine what to ink.
How do u know when to stop your drawing on those blue dotted lines a comic page? Where is the cut off at? The inner most dotted line or the middle solid line or the outer dotted line?
Rule of thumb: Inner dotted line's for everything that MUST be printed, solid line's where the trimming of the printed page should be, outer dotted line's just in case the printer's somewhat off and you still want the full bleed.
@@joseangelhernandez5274 No worries. If you're using pre-ruled paper (as in this video), it usually comes with instructions but, if you're working in the indy market, it might change from printer to printer (same goes if you're doing the cover of a novel, for example). Just make sure to check it before starting to draw or you might have to do the whole thing again.

Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
You have work of your own? You sound like you work on your craft a lot

exactly
I’ve read Flashpoint a couple of months ago. Great inking!! 😊
Great video! Cool that you can share some of your professional inking tips with all of us learning artists!
Hopefully you could narrate the process in a multi episode format?
Quick answer to title, you call the ghost busters.
Glad you describe inking for new artist. Most inkers can pencil but not all
You won't get far as an inker if you don't draw. A good inker needs to be able to finish pencils.
some great info there lady!
Thank you, Belbadeah!
I got a rather strange question. What watt bulb do you utilize in your table lamp?

Pencilers can ink.
Can they ink other artists? It's different from inking one's own pencils.
