The three tranches of "Trickle Down" we have had since (Oh yes, I was in high school with Reagan) have transferred $50 Trillion, yes $50 Trillion dollars from the working class to the wealthy class in this country. Yeah, a few other things did too, like the Republican (Greed is Good) form of capitalism, which our corporations embraced with glee. Republicans are the only reason why one person working used to be able to provide for his family with a moderate income, buy a house, have savings, vacations, a college fund. Today, because of Republicans, both parents working full time are living pay check to pay check. We now have 3 people in the country, who have the same wealth as 150 million people in the lower tier of income. Republicans, selling out the people for their wealthy donors have caused the national debt we have and all the major problems that our country faces now. Yes, Republicans and their policies are pretty much a disease on the American people.

All the Amazon warehouses in Quebec, Canada are closing. One of the locations unionized (how dare they due to low wages and unsafe working conditions) so all of them are now closing putting 1,500 people out of work. And so it begins.
@@WeemadaggieIt’s a nice thought but it’s not really feasible. Think about it: Canada’s the second larger country in the world by land mass behind Russia. Its population, however, is just a tick over 40 million. Canadian infrastructure is terrible and the overwhelming majority of the population is contained in a handful of large, far-flung cities and suburbs. Canada lacks the population, manufacturing capacity & supply lines to maintain a large-scale distribution network. Canada’s also got an immigration system that privileges wealthy, high-education, high-skill immigrants over manual laborers along with an artificial housing crisis not at all dissimilar to America’s or the UK’s. How is a country like Canada with its low-population density, vast size & unwillingness to accommodate low/mid-skill workers going to run Amazon warehouses? I’m with you on the union-stuff, btw. One of the main reasons why manufacturing and the working class are in such dire straights in countries like the US & UK is because we’ve outsourced our physical labor to such an extreme degree and allowed our oligarchs to game the system to make life for workers cruel & oppressive. That said, Canada is NOT in any position to develop an Amazon competitor. You need young workers, infrastructure & viable supply chains to make that happen. And that ain’t happening. On the other hand if someone like Bezos, Musk or Zuckerberg was to, I dunno, be caught engaging in felonious anti-trade practices or smuggling ketamine into Canada I would not object if the Canadian authorities felt obliged to take them into custody for an indefinite period of time…😉

I’m in with the “eat the rich” club.
That's what Fidel did. How are the Cubans doing?
@@johnsutherland7561 "That's what Fidel did." Depends on what "that" means: Fidel nationalized the whole Cuban economy. Nobody's talking about doing that.

Was he the one who betrayed Jesus?
or the Guy who stabbed Ceasar?
I am so amazed that these wealthy crybabies can be this oblivious to history. 😊
OMG! The combination of Tim and Stephanie is simply AMAZING! Their ability to hit it on the head and calling out every single issues makes me smile and laugh out loud with joy. Thank you Stephanie for saying it EXACTLY as it should be!

Greed is the worst problem our country has. Let's shame the rich; they should be ashamed.
Let's stop giving them money

Greed and sheer ignorance
With greed there is no shame. As sad as that sounds😔
Narcissists have no ability to feel shame.
A funny note. Astronomically, the last time things were in this position was in 1789 during the French Revolution. You know... where "Eat the Rich!!" came from - the quote from Rousseau: "When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich."
I guess when we run out of eggs, for example.
The energy really does feel a little revolutionary.
AGREE!!

And I am hungry!!!!
Very well said!
What "things" are you referring to? The planets? The position of the planets has no more an effect on what goes on on this Earth than the positioning of the furniture in your home does. :)
Stephanie Ruhle is fantastic! Highly intelligent, articulate, and courageous! More of her, please!

Being a billionaire is not healthy for a person, family or a country.
I would rather have a billionaire spend their money on vigorous employment and capital, than have it squandered by bureaucrats.
Unless they give away billions to people in this world who need it. Some of them do! 🙂
@roughhabit9085 that's assuming they do spend it wisely and in accordance with the needs of the people. But given they are unelected that feels unlikely. At least the bureaucrats are answerable to elected politicians.

Steph Ruhle is so damn good. Have her on more, dammit! She’s so sharp, she doesn’t get distracted by BS cultural issues & she’s got that incredible energy. Forget wind, solar & batteries: Ms. Ruhle is the inexhaustible alternative energy source we need!

Her live chat on Instagram from a few days ago was great. Her leadership and ability to tell it like it is in uncertain times is hard to beat.
If that’s your takeaway here I don’t know what to say. AOC’s more mature than she used to be but she’s still ineffective. On matters economic I think AOC has a winning message for the most part. Problem is she still lets herself get sucked in by far-left pressure groups culture war issues, however, which reducers her relevance. She’s also naive when it comes to matters geopolitical & she’ll always be haunted by that ludicrous Green New Deal proposal she bought into hook, link & sinker.
It was very dispiriting to me listening to ostensibly intelligent, educated people on the left like AOC who proved to be just as susceptible to magical thinking as right-wing climate change deniers and flat-earthers

All the Amazon warehouses in Quebec, Canada are closing. One of the locations unionized (how dare they due to low wages and unsafe working conditions) so all of them are now closing putting 1,500 people out of work. And so it begins.
yeah, tells you all you need to know. We really ought to have our own "amazon" equivalent in Canada.
On the other hand if someone like Bezos, Musk or Zuckerberg was to, I dunno, be caught engaging in felonious anti-trade practices or smuggling ketamine into Canada I would not object if the Canadian authorities felt obliged to take them into custody for an indefinite period of time…😉
Yeah, that's gonna play out well when Trump starts a f'ing tradewar with Canada 😂
Just people would think about buying someplace else other than Amazon. They are destroying small businesses for greed.
I live in Cambridge, Ontario, where there is a huge Amazon warehouse, employing thousands of people. We stand with the Amazon employees in Quebec, and regret this move.
