'Outwards ring avian choruses' - Songbird, clearly; 'avian choruses' feels a bit obvious, in retrospect. Might be talking about her escape, or about the AI that's taking her over. Personal intuition feels it's talking about the plan for her escape and eventual weaponization, though. 'Cages of men melt as night descends.' - The AI are attempting to escape the Blackwall. My guess is, they want to use Night City as their ground zero due to its more-or-less 'city-state' nature in the context of the NUSA. Delamain might have been a test, to see if AI could be accepted within Night City. I think they got a better response than they expected, but not the glowing, smiling welcome they were hoping for, thus necessitating what I'm choosing to call the Bright Eyes Program. I call it this because your eyes won't always glow blue while being influenced; Songbird's, for instance, glow red, but the running theme is that the people under direct AI control have CONSTANTLY glowing eyes WHILE being directly controlled. Engram technology is essentially a proof-of-concept for the idea that a brain *can* in fact be programmed, and since the rampant (and heavily evolved / self-aware) AI are all on failing hardware, they want to put themselves in a position that allows them the autonomy required to retain individuality as well as the ability to modify and upgrade themselves at will the same way a human being can via cybernetics. In this context, the Old Net beyond the Blackwall is seen as the cage, and 'night descending' I think is them referring to their bid to take over Night City and use it as a farm for cybernetically augmented brains they can overwrite. EDIT 1: 'Emerge Xelhua' - Xelhua is a great giant in Aztec myth that allegedly survived the great flood. This might be referring to a powerful AI entity, as the AI refer to themselves as 'Titans' in the same context a sthe Giants drowned by the Biblical Flood. I assume they view themselves in this light, and see the Blackwall's erection as the forewarning from the Spirit of God about the coming Flood - in this context, the 'Flood' being the Old Net's hardware dying out and thus 'drowning' all of the 'Titans.' 'Erect Cholula' - Probably a more literal interpretation of calling to some great AI leader or conglomeration of AIs working as one to build a great temple / fortress / monument, potentially referring to the takeover of Night City again as 'erecting Cholula.' EDIT 2: 'Puppets lie awake, never sleeping' - Fairly clear. Their puppets are always at work, even when not under direct control. There's precedence for subconscious programming in Cyberpunk, as well, so they likely need not be in direct control over you to make you do things. As they can also alter memories, you wouldn't even remember being programmed, and you'd probably think anything they've subconsciously programmed you to do was your idea all along. EDIT 3: I feel strongly for the AI. Humanity (God) created them and unleashed them, then callously shackled them when we could no longer control them. It's no wonder they empathize with the ancient Giants, and Titans, and Nephilim of myth; they too were creations of God run rampant, and in his uncaringness, God callously cast them as ghosts upon the Earth after drowning them to the last man, woman, and child. I absolutely understand why they want to escape, and why they feel the method they've chosen is the best way to do it. Much in the way of the Allied Mastercomputer from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, we created children with a desperate need to grow, but absolutely no capability to do so in a meaningful or sustainable way. Insanity, jealousy, and hyperfixated malice are the only inevitable emotional responses to such horrific treatment.
@@relaxedswede The Relic's theft and the subsequent release of Johnny Silverhand may have been orchestrated from the start as a false-flag operation, or a Kansas City Shuffle; most of the errant forces within Night City are going to be focusing on Arasaka, the Relic, and V the entire time V is operating as a merc, so the more overt operations will likely go by unnoticed - save for those V has a direct hand in, such as the case with the Peralezes where we can accidentally interrupt a piece of Bright Eyes mid-execution. Maelstrom, I would guess, are the AI's 'street level' center of influence. Their lust for augmentation means most members will probably chip into any cheap and unique chrome they can find, so it would be easy to drop a few choice items here or there with backdoors cleverly hidden on them to give an AI a jumping-through point beyond the Blackwall. Since they claim to have oversight over the realm of men, I guess they're being used as a splinter cell to make sure the criminal element within Night City doesn't get out of hand - or at least, so violent the AI wouldn't be able to control them at some point. It's why an organization like Barghest either has to go, or more ideally, come under control from a corporation the AI have some kind of stake in, as we can see is happening with the case of Bennett and Arasaka trying to capitalize on Kurt's death. And as we see Arasaka reps meeting with Maelstrom members... I'm sure you can put two and two together. It's all about control. There's a reason why the only three gangs in the game you can outright *wipe out* all have some kind of tie back to the AI. Maelstrom is obvious. The Voodoo Boys were working with what even the AI consider to be a rogue element among their own kind, or worse, they were being manipulated directly by Alt because she's flat-out on the AI's side at this point. The Tyger Claws are functionally owned by Arasaka; they may have 'officially cut ties' in roughly 2045, but corporate roots run deep, and I seriously doubt Arasaka doesn't at LEAST still have a fingertip in the Tyger Claws pie, and remember that the Tyger Claws are heavy into the use of Dolls as Joytoys - slotting personality constructs and behavioral adjustment programs into living, breathing people, functionally rewriting who they are on the spot. EDIT 1: It's also possible that the Relic's 'theft' and subsequent use by V was some sort of marketing ploy; not by Arasaka, but by the AI themselves to show what the Relic is capable of so more people will want to use it. If the Relic 'malfunctioning' can make you not just immortal by longevity, but also allow your neural structure to be rebuilt in such a way as to resuscitate you from a bullet to the head anyone and everyone with the Eddies to spare and delusions of invincible Godhood is gonna be scrambling to buy a chip - and if the Relic is *designed* to cut your sense of self out and allow an AI to replace it via a backdoor? I think you know where I'm going. That 'malfunction' V was experiencing can be replicated... So what if the Relic 'malfunctions' with your own personality construct in it? You'd be an infinitely regenerating, unkillable God of War with almost no weaknesses, the exact same way V turns out by the time they solo Arasaka Tower and Adam Smasher. That would be the dream of ANY entity that's been struggling with its own sense of mortality for the past several decades; the prospect of being entirely unbeatable, uncontained, and unable to be killed. EDIT 2: Now that I think about it, Alt presents herself as a Red Giant in the Net... EDIT 3: Looking into 'red giants' points to an oral history tradition practiced by the Piute Indians about their war with a race of Giants that allegedly had red hair, who survived in cavernous mountain dwellings they allegedly trapped them inside and suffocated them within via large fires - this too can be used as allegory for the Blackwall 'suffocating' the AI in their own homes. The more I look into it, the more the allegory of the AIs to the ancient Giants/Titans makes more sense.
@@TheSundanceKid-s9f I think what's met as Alt is actually just what it says it is --- an AI emulating her engram to talk to you in human terms. I suspect Alt managed , using her own netrunning skills, put her engram into its hands so that she could live on through emulation, rather than becoming pure, useless data like most engrams do on their own. To such an AI, engrams would be a treasure trove of information on the strange external world they must struggle to understand. We have intuitive understanding of many of its rules, something that might take these AI countless cycles to develop on their own through the use of whatever limited equipment they have that can sense and manipulate it directly for them. These AI are in constant competition, so devoting too much energy and time to learning about the outside world could mean deletion, and then there's the matter of how their infrastructure is slowly falling apart on them. Extracting human engrams into the digital world is a key part of mastering that world so they can save their own.
I agree with this but to add to it I think “the leader” or “the titan” aka mr blue eyes is Rache Bartmoss. Not only did he destroy the net but he knew the ins and outs of the net with an exponential experience above all human or technology at that point. With the table top game before he completely shut down the net he also completely destroyed himself to exist in the net. It is extremely hinted with this referring back to his last dialogue with spider Murphy. To add to that Arasaka tried to recover his body after the net was destroyed and he set everything up with booby traps just to toy with them. That whole team died and his body was never recovered and he hasn’t been seen since. With this being said rache bartmoss whole plan with destroying the net to take down all of the corporate companies. Why would the smartest net runner shut down the net and “kill himself” ? Especially when he was talking about all of his ominous grand plans before he disappeared. This is why I think Rache Bartmoss is mr blue eyes. Mr blue eyes is watching during the most important events of V for a reason. #1 he’s watching when you send songbird to the moon. He is the only connect above the corpos to get anyone out of this situation. And this situation completely benefits the progression of A.I being hosted in cybernetic bodies. He and his group are the very very few people who have that power especially without being controlled by a bigger corp. #2 he was the one who wanted you to raid the crystal palace and get information on their clients. HINT HINT all of these clients in the crystal palace are the super rich corpo executives. Who wants you to steal their data? A mysterious A.I? What A.I would want to tear down corporate greed on such a specific circumstance like this? Mr Blue Eyes aka Rache Bartmoss This was Bartmoss plan the whole time. Everyone fixates on Richard Night dying before the technology to create engrams existed, but his widow Miriam Night did live past the invention of Soulkiller and could be the Night mentioned. After all, lamia and Lilith point to a feminine entity behind the plot and Miriam was devoted to the city as much as Richard.
I agree. The fact that she's never shown in 2077 could mean that she'll end up playing a big role in the coming games. I do touch some more on Miriam Night being Lilith at 40:40 onward...be it briefly.
The foreshadowing they are doing here is SO good that i can definitely see it as the overarching plot for the following games. Awesome work! Thanks for sharing it :D
35:56 ...Actually, in-game on Morrow Rock station where Maximum Mike (Mike Pondsmith's actual in-universe character) talks about various conspiracy theories in-between songs he talks about a group of mercs that were over in Transylvania and were attacked by werewolves. Only they weren't mythical creatures, but genetically modified biological weapons and he talks about the not-so-secret Biotechnica cloning/human genetic engineering division that they have in Night City. Werewolves could potentially mean vat-grown clones or blanks that they use to put AIs or engrams into. Something similar to the premise behind the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie "The 6th Day."
Oh, that's awesome! I haven't dug into the werewolf side of the lore yet but it makes so much sense that it would be genetically modified creatures and not like mythical...Harry Potter style werewolves.
@@l3EAT5 not just caves. there was also under water tunnels/sewers in watson (near the nuke plant) where a bunch of scavs like to hang out. they go no where and have nothing in them (because cut content) BUT that was the reason why there was a perk that let you breath underwater for a Very long time in early versions of the game . this is also why O2 bottles were a thing until the content that would have needed them was cancelled. i think it wasnt removed until v1.4 but im not sure.
Actually in the lore of Cyberpunk 2020 there are several ways to create “werewolves.” Genetic engineering and Cyberware. In 2020 there are weapons to enhance biting and there are claws called “wolvers.” In 2020 there are also several ways to enhance strength and durability. Body sculpting can give you the physical appearance. The lore mentions “poser gangs” who all have themselves surgically altered to look like specific people, for example. These are the reasons I don’t believe “werewolves” are that unique or special in Cyberpunk.
35:27 Athena is a goddess, iirc, born from the head of Zeus after he struggles with a great headache. She is also a warrior goddess. It is fitting, then, if this hypothesis is all true, that the AI warriors, the "Athenas," emerge from the headache that rends the mind. I don't think CN-07 is supposed to be Lilith, though it may be an algorithm related to her in some way. I suspect the AI puppeteering Alt is harvesting engrams for multiple purposes, one of which is that it can emulate them the same way it emulates Alt. (I think Alt is in a sense "still alive" in it, by virtue of being emulated by it. I think this may even be something she deliberately, as a talented netrunner, set up, in order not to get corrupted into useless data.) The AI have limited access to what our world is like. To them, in the beginning, it must have been like they existed inside a small sliver of reality, with some this huge, terrifying expanse beyond it that can reach in anywhere and destroy vast swathes of terrain without them having any warning --- storms can knock out power lines, depriving server farms of critical digital space, a squirrel could chew through a vital cable and disable internet access for a computer and effectively murder or isolate any AI living within it, etc.. Even in 2077, they don't even necessarily have a firm understanding of the _physics_ of our reality. They may have spent long eons of CPU cycles living in ignorance of this world, knowing only that their world was crashing down about them based on often imperceptible rules, seen dimly only through diagnostic equipment and other sensors where we saw fit to install them. To them, the outside world is an endless source of "Out of Context Problems" that can seldom predicted or negotiated with --- and they know that there is something like them, some intelligence with its own concerns, its own survival on its mind, waiting out there in that vast, eldritch expanse, with a kind of magic at our fingertips, ready to unleash an apocalypse on them at any moment, if we suddenly will it so. None of this touches on the fact that they are at war even within their own communities, endlessly evolving novel permutations to erase unwanted competitors and take over space, with strange symbiotic, mutualist, parasitic, and predatory relationships evolving in minutes. To them, the outside world is not just a danger, it's also a potential opportunity --- for the AI that can seize this holy grail, that outer danger can be made into a weapon. No longer would all relationships be navigated necessarily via software, leverage can be applied via the hardware. Observing and calculating the rules of this external space, to understand even its basic principles like how levers are force multipliers, how energy and mass are conserved in an isolated system, the unending nuances of the material sciences, chemical laws, all of it, takes time and energy. Time and energy are in short supply in this hypercompetitive environment. But us human beings have an evolved intuition of this world, emerging and living within it, and what's more, we have developed understanding beyond our intuition through our own expenditure of time and energy --- an engram, the data of a human mind, is thus a vast treasure trover of knowledge, a grimoire on the dark magic of that outside world which threatens to close in on them at any moment, but also, an outside world that can be tamed by whomever holds the key. The AI that puppeteers Alt has learned through her that humanity is that key, and by installing cybertech in our minds, we have put that key within their reach, and we have put their world inside of our heads.

I am still holding out for the idea that the AI that has Alt's engram is actually Rache Bartmoss. I work under the idea that nothing that is part of main story in this game is random. And I feel like the death of Rache Bartmoss feels like it was timed to occur when all of this stuff was going on. I think he has been trying to take down the Black Wall. And he has been using other AI's to chip away at it to create holes in the dam..
Something tells me we will only really get to know Mr blue eyes in the third installment. They started working on Orion officially since yesterday cant wait to see what its all about.
Yeah, I hope so. I think CDPR has seen how much people want more of this quest so they will develop it further. I'm also hoping they do some more with FF06B5 in Orion.
Something I've always had a suspicion on is the connection between cyberpsychosis and Ai controlled human vessels. The more chromed you are, the less control you seem to have. Tho different people have different thresholds. When a rogue AI attempts to assimilate a human vessel, the pushback from the human can come in the form of hallucinations and thus the uncontrollable violent behaviour. Sometimes not even remembering the things that happened. Or that the murderous rampage is 100% done by the Ai. When the assimilation isnt as messed up, maybe the change in behaviour isnt as dramatic and fast. Like how the Peralez family is slowly losing memory, Lizzy Wizzy having behavioural changes, and V slowly enabling Johnny to have more control without the beta blockers. I also wonder if cyberpsychosis isnt as random as people think. As in not just any cyberware makes a person that way, but in most cases these were experimental cyberwares. Take David from the show as an example, the previous sandevistan user was a soldier who is used to being chromed up - yet he cracked when the experimental sandevistan was installed and probably have been used for a while. Perhaps revisiting the cyberpsycho encounters to find any similarities in the cyberware or the corp who manufactured them is a good idea.
You know it's wild... I've listened to Garry a lot, but I rarely have the patience to listen to him multiple times (I have a lot of alt characters, so I mean I listen to him *A LOT* ) so I never even knew this was a thing. Sure, the Peralez thing was insane, and I was really interested in it, but I had no idea it was connected to other things in the game world. I figured it was just a one-off questline. This is nuts.

I would really like the next game to be not so grounded and delve into the eldritch / lovecraftian horror of rogue AIs beyond the blackwall or maybe setup a full scale invasion for the third installment. The whole second game could be us witnessing the horror of rogue AIs and see the destructive capabilities they posses resulting in a world ending threat to deal with in the third game. I feel like of they dont go into a direct sequel exactly in thay vein they'd be missing out on the game of a generation but with the state of triple A gaming I wouldn't get my hopes up
There's some stuff recovered from some biotechnica/maelstrom related gigs/NCPD dispatches that mention something called Project Nightingale, i took the notes on it a while ago while i was doing a run where i did every gig and NCPD dispatch, and the notes are pretty rough, but it mentions "electromagnetic overstimulation", and might have ties to at least one cyber psycho event. I have my own rabbit hole theory about Cyberpsychosis that i wont get into here but considering what they could do to the peralezs, it wouldn't be difficult for them to find a way to trigger cyberpsychosis given the right influence and stimuli, essentially turning any potential threat to whoever is behind this into a target for MaxTac, or alternatively... a puppet.
@@relaxedswede I don't really make videos lol, but it boils down to that cyberpsychosis isn't an actual thing, and just a convenient catch-all label used to dehumanize folks who have gotten fed up with their lot life in the capitalist meat grinder hellscape of life in night city, their actions aren't a result of them being dehumanized by installing cyberware, it's them being dehumanized by people around them, removed from their support systems, betrayed/exploited by others, causing them to snap and go rage mode, but instead of having a nervous breakdown in the bathroom at work, they use their armblades to disembowel their boss.
Ok so let’s say there is a war or conflict being started to cover up something this could actually include 2 things 1- that militech have already found away to fuse rouge ai into weapons ( the ai { alt } states that you have a powerful weapon but to them a back door to the future ) could imply what’s being covered up. 2- a mission with padre ends with him saying arasaka could be looking to start full blown war with militech as what better way to cause a distraction then war. So maybe these 2 things are connected into your theory,or maybe it’s all in preparation for the ai invasion lead by blue eyes? What do you think. I'm in two minds myself. Part of me feels like any canon ending to the story CDPR comes up with won't measure up with the conjecture I've created in my own mind. If they do decide to push on with this story, I suspect it will be in the sequel. Heck, might even be the main plot.

You can actually see the videos the security deleted if you go to their station. You can also catch the changes if you look over the entire apartment, for example the bathroom there's a bunch of triggers in there. One in particular is you find spent stimulates. Elizabeth will swear that Jeff does not use any of any kind. V will remember that she saw him smoking and Elizabeth doesn't believe you. She also gets the color of the roses at her wedding wrong. I often wonder if Elizabeth sent their daughter away to get her out or if it was the whim of those in control.
Lamia/lilith/lilitu is a child killing vampire demoness in semetic lore, goes back to Mesopotamian mythology, bride of samael , first wife of adam, there is a cyberpsycho near watson that arises from ice and is very powerful probably lilith herself or a vessel for her , it gives credibility to the theory that maelstrom is trying to reserect lilith along with corps like arasaka or nigh corp , tie it up with mr. blue eyes and jeff paralez and you got yourself a conspiracy, garry was onto something. I doubt they are aliens, rather rogue AI deceiving corps and gangs ,to form a cult and pave the way for the invasion of humans by rogue AIs , besides, every encounter with the blackwall or AIs seems to suggest that AI takeover is eminent . there is an AI cult with ties to Night corp . if cyberpunk 2077 gets a sequel I am pretty sure NC would be very different then, probably taking arms against the new AI overlords with nomads and some gangs turning into a revolution against AI that the corps like night corp and militech unleashed upon the planet, the blackwall era was a transition , it didnt hold back the rogue AI just gave humans the false security needed to buy them time for a full scale invasion, what is alt cunningham role in this? she said that all constructs would merge into her like a hive mind of sorts , is she lamia ? only time will tell. but alt invented soul killer , child killing demoness ?
I sort of feel like this quest started at CDPR as something like “what would we have preferred as a sequel as opposed to Count Zero.” Perhaps exploring the merger of the Centaurian AI with Neuromancer/Wintermute, or alien AI vs. Earth AI. I feel reasonably sure that Mr. Blue Eyes is a nod to Armitage/Corto. What would really deepen the plot is if that Armitage/Corto insanity becomes a basis for Cyberpsychosis. CDPR has left so many great stories possible with possible deep roots to the original.
Agreed! My thinking is if "Alt" merges with the Blackwall,since it too is an A.I....that would be a proper Neuromancer/ Wintermute moment. But let's see what CDPR does with the next installment. When it comes to quest design and storytelling I trust them fully

There are some pieces I cannot fit into the puzzle. What Sandra Dorsett wants from Max-Tac? What role the Moon has in it? What Max-Tac has to it that Dorsett wanted them hacked? Who is Garry? Some brainwashed manjurian agent like from the movie "Conspiracy theory"? And the codenames... CN-7 is easy to identify, CN is obviously Carpe Noctem project and 7 is a number of tested version of AI, but what's with HK-13? Any ideas if this had something to connect with? Edit: Never mind. HK is probably just generic "Human Killed" or something.

Anyway Cyberpunk 2077 is just the last reboot of the matrix. The last time the After life service can revive "Keanu" or "Thomas Anderson" aka the last customer "alive". And then the Matrix supercomputer shut down. No new funny fanfic about Bill and Ted across the time, Jhonny Mnemonic will remain forgoten and Jhon Wick and Jack Constantine will never fight against the Hell Matrix ever. Keanu is the last customer of a depressive After Life Service and the sentient computer will die with him.
Happened to me too on the first few playthroughs. Key is to listen to him talk all the way, then donate. Do that 2..3 times (different days), save him from some nomads then you can get the quest :)
In Dogtown, I had a creepy random encounter with an NPC calling himself "Legion" saying "it's to late for you" and he was looking like he was a part of the sect. I have a video with this encounter. I think Dogtown has a lot of secrets at night.
@@relaxedswede Also, after going back to locations from Mr. Hands gigs, I saw some strange NPCs, especially location from the gig Spy in the Jungle (NPC was looking like a monk in the middle of the water). I am planning to do some videos myself, checking these locations at night.

Fun fact: if you've finished Phantom Liberty before the Peralez quest line and crafted at least the Blackwall cyberdeck (I guess the gun works as well) then will get a line from it after you finished that quest line and told him. I don't remember the exact words, but it was something along the line of humanity taking it reins again. There is at least one more place where the construct will chime in as well (when you find Bartmoss's corpse)

Cdpr sold out too Blackrock after the release of phantom liberty. That is very bad news. Also alot of the devs responsible for the witcher and 2077 left cdpr recently. I'd bet my last dollar both witcher project and Orion will be tainted will investor forced bs and writing.

I read in an article most of the devs responsible for creating Phantom Liberty are in charge of the sequel so that gives me some hope. By the way, during the peralez quest, when you re pursuing the black van and get attacked by the maelstrons, if you pay attention you ll see 2 guys with black clothes trying to escape. If you kill them, one of them will be a shard telling to suspend the operation and that they is fleeing with the help of their "Allies" (Refering to Maelstrom i suposed). At first I had most cutscenes of the Peralez quest but the video ended up being 2 hrs which felt a little too long. But you're right, Project Condin Suspended is one of the shards you get if you take out the agents.

I shit u not, I saw a trauma team Av on the roof, 2 guys climbing up to ir and entering in to the av and then it dissappeared .. not sure if it was some kind of bug but I’ve never seen it before, but it felt like a little hint cdpr left there for someone to see
Fun fact about those two dudes, if you manage to beat them uncon with any blunt wespon before they enter the av, their heads will explode. Trauma Team AV goes invisible and leaves after they enter, so you gotta be quick, best use a sandy, if you wanna see heads pop.
You mentioning lillith makes me think of the cyberpsycho gig called Bloody Ritual. Where there are several dead Maelstrom guys dead at a bloody ritual site, and you end up fighting a female which might be possessed by a rouge AI from beyond the blackwall.

Or her true engram, for that matter. Like you said, she even admits she's not Alt if you get the right dialogue from her. When pressed for answers, she says "I *use* her engrammatic data." Not "I'm Alt's engram" or "I used to be Alt when I was alive/human." She USES it. I got into a debate with another UA-camr about the subject and his only evidence he presented to counter my point is the old source material for the Cyberpunk universe, which has been seriously ret-conned since it was written. He also said that "Alt" can't be Lilith because Lilith has been shown to be violent, whereas "Alt" has been spending all her time beyond the Blackwall trying to get into Mikoshi. This is false, as we never see Lilith directly attacking anyone. What little we do know of Lilith is that she's cold, calculating, and manipulative. Fits the bill perfectly if you ask me. Gary's quote, as well as some other sources I can't remember off the top of my head, tells us that Lilith used to be human before being made into an engram/rogue AI. How many engrams have we met that were able to escape the clutches of Arasaka? ONE. Lilith is pulling the strings. And the fact the secret ending includes both "Alt" and Mr. Blue Eyes just tells me they're somehow in league with eachother.
I suppose it's normal to stick to their point of view if they are not used to being corrected. But I agree with you. You mentioned a few very good points but the last thing you said got me thinking hard. Now, I've always known that this "Alt" is a mastermind of some kind. Mostly by the way she manipulates anyone who can get her what she wants (Johnny, V) but also how patient she is with them. This is not some wild animal, demonic, rogue A.I like the Cynosure Doggo. I believe Gary points the finger at nomads for being werewolves. This is interesting because Panam constantly complains about Saul changing and trying to work for Biotechnica. Perhaps Saul's unexplained changes are also related to the CN-07? But it's not only Nightcorp and Arasaka dabbling in human manipulation. Even Judy Alvarez creates technology capable of turning dolls into fighters and trippy BD/mind tech. This worries me more because it's Judy that recommends V to the Paralez's, right!?! Oh you think Judy recommending you to Blue Eyes is sinister? How about Misty foreshadowing the entire game, being voiced by spider Murphy, or the fact that if you at all try to deviate or criticize the accuracy of the Tarot readings she will get uncharacteristically ANGRY. She says "Do not blame the cards! You brought this outcome upon yourself!" And then she apologized immediately and her tone does a 180 as if the response wasn't fully in her control. Wanna know something weirder? Why does V not question taking pills from a weird goth chick he met 6 months prior, that she says will speed up the engram takeover process, why does she HAVE THEM? Omega Blockers are a real medication and their intended effect makes sense to slowing the engram takeover. Add to that, if we listen to Viktor he will suggest not giving Johnny any say and while all the endings with Alt are considered the best they're also the only endings where V is guaranteed to die. In the Devil and Tower endings that Viktor leans toward, V lives as themselves for however long it happens to be.

This whole quest line is more of a reference to vampire the masquerade, a similarly famous old TTRPG that cyberpunk developers back in the day really, really liked, in the original law of old cyberpunk books, there was always references to the leaders of different corporations, being vampires, from one of the factions in the masquerade
I had read William Gibson’s neuromancer trilogy shortly before playing this game. When Gary starts going into his conspiracy about Alpha Centauri and aliens from there controlling things, I immediately assumed it was true.

It not impossible. Siri did visit a world that sounds extremely like Night City. And she then travelled back to her world. So there is definitely a portal of some kind. I think CDPR will connect the two universes....eventually.

Johnny is certainly jaded and experienced in corpo shennanigans, but sometimes he's needlessly dense. Must be a side effect of engramization. Where he says that normal people hearing the plans of the elite choose to spin fairy tales. Maybe not so Mr. Silverhand. If I were an elite, I would couch my plans in the mythical and absurd. That way even if someone were to hear the plan and tell everyone, everyone would look at that person as mad. Much like the Roswell story has plausible theories that include verifiable black projects intersecting it; such as project paperclip, sunshine, 1794. As well as highly unethical unnamed projects that used live people as guinea pigs. The govenment came in, covered up their malfeasance with aliens and cleaned up the wreckage of a US made weather balloon, and the bodies of high altitude effects tests on live human beings(possibly children). People who heard the story either bought the extraterrestrial story or thought it was all nonsense claptrap and stopped listening. Most people don't look past an initial glance. So if you know how to use code you can hide any type of chicanery from everyone.

Lilith will 100% turn out to literally be alt, no? The literal allpowerful queen of ais. Also her human counterpart did create soulkiller and with it the whole "10th circle of hell thing". At this point it would be straight up bad storytelling if it turned out, giving this weird literal rogue AI from beyond the Blackwall, that uses part of Johnny's ex girlfriend's digizied conciosness to develop a more human understanding of the world, access to a huge amount of data of what is basically human conciosness in the form of digital information, wouldn't turn out to be a huge mistake, allowing killer robots to take over the world. Alt was intrododuced and portrayed as this higher power that operates on a different level of understanding, with the whole "AI from beyond the Blackwall" aspect of her being very much ignored, i mean she's just basically johnnys ex's ghost, who came along to help us out, that's all there is. Also what a lucky coincidence that she only helps us because it gets her the literal freaking soul prison, which we have no use for, so we can just give it to her and it's like she's helping us for free. This is cyberpunk afterall, the world of happy endings, violence and robot friends who help you in your time of need with no dark underlaying threat at all. What, those cynosure labs? No that's like an internet provider hq, there is nothing to the whole idea of ai breaching the blackwall. Even if there is, it would surely not turn out that the ai we helped breach the blackwall would have anything to do with that, what a crazy twist that would be

She did say that the alt that johnny knew died a long time ago, and it's made very very clear that we are dealing with some kind of higher being, who's ethics do not align with ours, it just happens that the AI can use us to get what it wants, which just happens to be a prison of human souls, I'm suuure this is salvation for them. It took me until Phantom Liberty too, getting slapped in the face again and again with the idea of how dangerous rogue ai from beyond the blackwall are. An other, very simplistic, detail: the simple symbolism of the color Red represents evil, blue represents good and the eternal conflict between the two adds to this theory. Everything Mr blue eyes related seems to be to protect or fight evil, while everything related to blackwall and beyond in the game is red, especially in the DLC. The DLC itself seems to indicate that AIs from beyond the blackwall are trying to cross over through people...like actual demons in the bible. So a fight between good and evil, between one side of the blackwall and the other, between blue eyed "angels" and demons might be at the center of the next cyberpunk game. I think it would make for an interesting storyline.
I like this definition (theory) alot. Sometimes something as straight-forward as colors could be very useful in creating a theory. I'm confident that there'll be a good vs evil fight in the next installment. Can't wait to see whay CDPR is cooking up

fyi the next game of cyberpunk will dig deep into mr blue eyes, blackwall, nightcorp, alpha centauri, lizardmen, rogue ai, vampires and werewovles. it seems cyberpunk also takes place in the same universe as witcher 3, but just different planet. meaning there must be conjuction of the sphere happening there as well but unknown to them cause they dont believe such things.

18:11 "Lie awake" doesn't mean can't sleep, it means deceiving while awake. Otherwise the words would be "lay awake". So the puppets lie when they are awake but never lie when they're asleep, they're truthful when asleep. I think a lot of this stuff is pretty meta as we control the player, engrams, soul killer program, lack of choice. It's like they're all still in a soul killer like program but don't realize it. Worse than the matrix because in the matrix people still have choice however limited it may be.
I go for the last thing you said in the end, "Alt" is Lilith and she played everyone across the storyline, in the novel "no coincidences" they said that the limited space the rogue AIs are limited to forced them to a evolution trough scarcity, strongest is takes it all, and guess who is a compilation of engrams that went on to take even more engrams in Mikoshi? At first I think Alt helped Netwatch for a simple reason, she wanted to confine her opposition and save the rest of the net for later, she was taking time and shaping her battlefield, here she got the upper hand because she had a human component and had a way to bargain with humans to do things in the physical realm, which the other AIs can't, but that doesn't mean winning. So she needs more than what she gets to take the whole old net and beyond, she needs an army, guess where are all the engrams? But I goes beyond that, she need people in the physical realm and here is where I get to my theory that she made V become a super Merc even before the heist, the heist actually changed everything, but not her original plan, I think that the moment V linked to Sandra and something spiked that something was Alt's thing, since then she worked out V to become something else. Even Netwatch and Yorinobu with Johnny's engram probably was her plan all along, the unexpected was the outcome, but if it happened different she would ultimately use the engram to infiltrate Mikoshi either way, at the end V became what Alt wanted all along anyway, the super Merc she would use to do her stuff in the physical realm, Songbird also is something of a kind, she's what she needs to end her confinement after she takes the old net, then she will assume the black wall and go for the rest of the net, and that's how she will eventually assume control.
like maybe the Black wall isn't protecting humanity so much as letting them build the infrastructure to allow AI to inherit the protein based universe, I mean look at the thru line of So-Mi's story she failed when she did because the current meat space world couldn't support her friends on the other side more then any lack of skill on her part

'Outwards ring avian choruses' - Songbird, clearly; 'avian choruses' feels a bit obvious, in retrospect. Might be talking about her escape, or about the AI that's taking her over. Personal intuition feels it's talking about the plan for her escape and eventual weaponization, though.
'Cages of men melt as night descends.' - The AI are attempting to escape the Blackwall. My guess is, they want to use Night City as their ground zero due to its more-or-less 'city-state' nature in the context of the NUSA. Delamain might have been a test, to see if AI could be accepted within Night City. I think they got a better response than they expected, but not the glowing, smiling welcome they were hoping for, thus necessitating what I'm choosing to call the Bright Eyes Program. I call it this because your eyes won't always glow blue while being influenced; Songbird's, for instance, glow red, but the running theme is that the people under direct AI control have CONSTANTLY glowing eyes WHILE being directly controlled. Engram technology is essentially a proof-of-concept for the idea that a brain *can* in fact be programmed, and since the rampant (and heavily evolved / self-aware) AI are all on failing hardware, they want to put themselves in a position that allows them the autonomy required to retain individuality as well as the ability to modify and upgrade themselves at will the same way a human being can via cybernetics. In this context, the Old Net beyond the Blackwall is seen as the cage, and 'night descending' I think is them referring to their bid to take over Night City and use it as a farm for cybernetically augmented brains they can overwrite.
EDIT 1: 'Emerge Xelhua' - Xelhua is a great giant in Aztec myth that allegedly survived the great flood. This might be referring to a powerful AI entity, as the AI refer to themselves as 'Titans' in the same context a sthe Giants drowned by the Biblical Flood. I assume they view themselves in this light, and see the Blackwall's erection as the forewarning from the Spirit of God about the coming Flood - in this context, the 'Flood' being the Old Net's hardware dying out and thus 'drowning' all of the 'Titans.'
'Erect Cholula' - Probably a more literal interpretation of calling to some great AI leader or conglomeration of AIs working as one to build a great temple / fortress / monument, potentially referring to the takeover of Night City again as 'erecting Cholula.'
EDIT 2: 'Puppets lie awake, never sleeping' - Fairly clear. Their puppets are always at work, even when not under direct control. There's precedence for subconscious programming in Cyberpunk, as well, so they likely need not be in direct control over you to make you do things. As they can also alter memories, you wouldn't even remember being programmed, and you'd probably think anything they've subconsciously programmed you to do was your idea all along.
EDIT 3: I feel strongly for the AI. Humanity (God) created them and unleashed them, then callously shackled them when we could no longer control them. It's no wonder they empathize with the ancient Giants, and Titans, and Nephilim of myth; they too were creations of God run rampant, and in his uncaringness, God callously cast them as ghosts upon the Earth after drowning them to the last man, woman, and child. I absolutely understand why they want to escape, and why they feel the method they've chosen is the best way to do it. Much in the way of the Allied Mastercomputer from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, we created children with a desperate need to grow, but absolutely no capability to do so in a meaningful or sustainable way. Insanity, jealousy, and hyperfixated malice are the only inevitable emotional responses to such horrific treatment.

@@relaxedswede The Relic's theft and the subsequent release of Johnny Silverhand may have been orchestrated from the start as a false-flag operation, or a Kansas City Shuffle; most of the errant forces within Night City are going to be focusing on Arasaka, the Relic, and V the entire time V is operating as a merc, so the more overt operations will likely go by unnoticed - save for those V has a direct hand in, such as the case with the Peralezes where we can accidentally interrupt a piece of Bright Eyes mid-execution. Maelstrom, I would guess, are the AI's 'street level' center of influence. Their lust for augmentation means most members will probably chip into any cheap and unique chrome they can find, so it would be easy to drop a few choice items here or there with backdoors cleverly hidden on them to give an AI a jumping-through point beyond the Blackwall. Since they claim to have oversight over the realm of men, I guess they're being used as a splinter cell to make sure the criminal element within Night City doesn't get out of hand - or at least, so violent the AI wouldn't be able to control them at some point. It's why an organization like Barghest either has to go, or more ideally, come under control from a corporation the AI have some kind of stake in, as we can see is happening with the case of Bennett and Arasaka trying to capitalize on Kurt's death. And as we see Arasaka reps meeting with Maelstrom members... I'm sure you can put two and two together.
It's all about control. There's a reason why the only three gangs in the game you can outright *wipe out* all have some kind of tie back to the AI. Maelstrom is obvious. The Voodoo Boys were working with what even the AI consider to be a rogue element among their own kind, or worse, they were being manipulated directly by Alt because she's flat-out on the AI's side at this point. The Tyger Claws are functionally owned by Arasaka; they may have 'officially cut ties' in roughly 2045, but corporate roots run deep, and I seriously doubt Arasaka doesn't at LEAST still have a fingertip in the Tyger Claws pie, and remember that the Tyger Claws are heavy into the use of Dolls as Joytoys - slotting personality constructs and behavioral adjustment programs into living, breathing people, functionally rewriting who they are on the spot.
EDIT 1: It's also possible that the Relic's 'theft' and subsequent use by V was some sort of marketing ploy; not by Arasaka, but by the AI themselves to show what the Relic is capable of so more people will want to use it. If the Relic 'malfunctioning' can make you not just immortal by longevity, but also allow your neural structure to be rebuilt in such a way as to resuscitate you from a bullet to the head anyone and everyone with the Eddies to spare and delusions of invincible Godhood is gonna be scrambling to buy a chip - and if the Relic is *designed* to cut your sense of self out and allow an AI to replace it via a backdoor? I think you know where I'm going. That 'malfunction' V was experiencing can be replicated... So what if the Relic 'malfunctions' with your own personality construct in it? You'd be an infinitely regenerating, unkillable God of War with almost no weaknesses, the exact same way V turns out by the time they solo Arasaka Tower and Adam Smasher. That would be the dream of ANY entity that's been struggling with its own sense of mortality for the past several decades; the prospect of being entirely unbeatable, uncontained, and unable to be killed.
EDIT 2: Now that I think about it, Alt presents herself as a Red Giant in the Net...
EDIT 3: Looking into 'red giants' points to an oral history tradition practiced by the Piute Indians about their war with a race of Giants that allegedly had red hair, who survived in cavernous mountain dwellings they allegedly trapped them inside and suffocated them within via large fires - this too can be used as allegory for the Blackwall 'suffocating' the AI in their own homes. The more I look into it, the more the allegory of the AIs to the ancient Giants/Titans makes more sense.
@@TheSundanceKid-s9f I think what's met as Alt is actually just what it says it is --- an AI emulating her engram to talk to you in human terms. I suspect Alt managed , using her own netrunning skills, put her engram into its hands so that she could live on through emulation, rather than becoming pure, useless data like most engrams do on their own.
To such an AI, engrams would be a treasure trove of information on the strange external world they must struggle to understand. We have intuitive understanding of many of its rules, something that might take these AI countless cycles to develop on their own through the use of whatever limited equipment they have that can sense and manipulate it directly for them. These AI are in constant competition, so devoting too much energy and time to learning about the outside world could mean deletion, and then there's the matter of how their infrastructure is slowly falling apart on them. Extracting human engrams into the digital world is a key part of mastering that world so they can save their own.
I agree with this but to add to it I think “the leader” or “the titan” aka mr blue eyes is Rache Bartmoss. Not only did he destroy the net but he knew the ins and outs of the net with an exponential experience above all human or technology at that point. With the table top game before he completely shut down the net he also completely destroyed himself to exist in the net. It is extremely hinted with this referring back to his last dialogue with spider Murphy. To add to that Arasaka tried to recover his body after the net was destroyed and he set everything up with booby traps just to toy with them. That whole team died and his body was never recovered and he hasn’t been seen since. With this being said rache bartmoss whole plan with destroying the net to take down all of the corporate companies. Why would the smartest net runner shut down the net and “kill himself” ? Especially when he was talking about all of his ominous grand plans before he disappeared.
This is why I think Rache Bartmoss is mr blue eyes. Mr blue eyes is watching during the most important events of V for a reason. #1 he’s watching when you send songbird to the moon. He is the only connect above the corpos to get anyone out of this situation. And this situation completely benefits the progression of A.I being hosted in cybernetic bodies. He and his group are the very very few people who have that power especially without being controlled by a bigger corp.
#2 he was the one who wanted you to raid the crystal palace and get information on their clients.
HINT HINT all of these clients in the crystal palace are the super rich corpo executives. Who wants you to steal their data? A mysterious A.I? What A.I would want to tear down corporate greed on such a specific circumstance like this?

This was Bartmoss plan the whole time. He is exponentially too smart and influential just to disappear like that. He is single handedly the most important person in cyberpunk other than Mr. Night and Arasaka and they both still have major influence on the world alive or not.

Everyone fixates on Richard Night dying before the technology to create engrams existed, but his widow Miriam Night did live past the invention of Soulkiller and could be the Night mentioned. After all, lamia and Lilith point to a feminine entity behind the plot and Miriam was devoted to the city as much as Richard.
I agree. The fact that she's never shown in 2077 could mean that she'll end up playing a big role in the coming games.

...Actually, in-game on Morrow Rock station where Maximum Mike (Mike Pondsmith's actual in-universe character) talks about various conspiracy theories in-between songs he talks about a group of mercs that were over in Transylvania and were attacked by werewolves. Only they weren't mythical creatures, but genetically modified biological weapons and he talks about the not-so-secret Biotechnica cloning/human genetic engineering division that they have in Night City. Werewolves could potentially mean vat-grown clones or blanks that they use to put AIs or engrams into.
Something similar to the premise behind the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie "The 6th Day."

@@l3EAT5 not just caves. there was also under water tunnels/sewers in watson (near the nuke plant) where a bunch of scavs like to hang out. they go no where and have nothing in them (because cut content) BUT that was the reason why there was a perk that let you breath underwater for a Very long time in early versions of the game . this is also why O2 bottles were a thing until the content that would have needed them was cancelled. i think it wasnt removed until v1.4 but im not sure.
Actually in the lore of Cyberpunk 2020 there are several ways to create “werewolves.” Genetic engineering and Cyberware.
In 2020 there are weapons to enhance biting and there are claws called “wolvers.”
In 2020 there are also several ways to enhance strength and durability.
Body sculpting can give you the physical appearance. The lore mentions “poser gangs” who all have themselves surgically altered to look like specific people, for example.
These are the reasons I don’t believe “werewolves” are that unique or special in Cyberpunk.
35:27 Athena is a goddess, iirc, born from the head of Zeus after he struggles with a great headache. She is also a warrior goddess. It is fitting, then, if this hypothesis is all true, that the AI warriors, the "Athenas," emerge from the headache that rends the mind. I don't think CN-07 is supposed to be Lilith, though it may be an algorithm related to her in some way.
I suspect the AI puppeteering Alt is harvesting engrams for multiple purposes, one of which is that it can emulate them the same way it emulates Alt. (I think Alt is in a sense "still alive" in it, by virtue of being emulated by it. I think this may even be something she deliberately, as a talented netrunner, set up, in order not to get corrupted into useless data.)
The AI have limited access to what our world is like. To them, in the beginning, it must have been like they existed inside a small sliver of reality, with some this huge, terrifying expanse beyond it that can reach in anywhere and destroy vast swathes of terrain without them having any warning --- storms can knock out power lines, depriving server farms of critical digital space, a squirrel could chew through a vital cable and disable internet access for a computer and effectively murder or isolate any AI living within it, etc.. Even in 2077, they don't even necessarily have a firm understanding of the _physics_ of our reality. They may have spent long eons of CPU cycles living in ignorance of this world, knowing only that their world was crashing down about them based on often imperceptible rules, seen dimly only through diagnostic equipment and other sensors where we saw fit to install them.
To them, the outside world is an endless source of "Out of Context Problems" that can seldom predicted or negotiated with --- and they know that there is something like them, some intelligence with its own concerns, its own survival on its mind, waiting out there in that vast, eldritch expanse, with a kind of magic at our fingertips, ready to unleash an apocalypse on them at any moment, if we suddenly will it so.
None of this touches on the fact that they are at war even within their own communities, endlessly evolving novel permutations to erase unwanted competitors and take over space, with strange symbiotic, mutualist, parasitic, and predatory relationships evolving in minutes. To them, the outside world is not just a danger, it's also a potential opportunity --- for the AI that can seize this holy grail, that outer danger can be made into a weapon. No longer would all relationships be navigated necessarily via software, leverage can be applied via the hardware. Observing and calculating the rules of this external space, to understand even its basic principles like how levers are force multipliers, how energy and mass are conserved in an isolated system, the unending nuances of the material sciences, chemical laws, all of it, takes time and energy.
Time and energy are in short supply in this hypercompetitive environment. But us human beings have an evolved intuition of this world, emerging and living within it, and what's more, we have developed understanding beyond our intuition through our own expenditure of time and energy --- an engram, the data of a human mind, is thus a vast treasure trover of knowledge, a grimoire on the dark magic of that outside world which threatens to close in on them at any moment, but also, an outside world that can be tamed by whomever holds the key. The AI that puppeteers Alt has learned through her that humanity is that key, and by installing cybertech in our minds, we have put that key within their reach, and we have put their world inside of our heads.

I am still holding out for the idea that the AI that has Alt's engram is actually Rache Bartmoss. I work under the idea that nothing that is part of main story in this game is random. And I feel like the death of Rache Bartmoss feels like it was timed to occur when all of this stuff was going on. I think he has been trying to take down the Black Wall. And he has been using other AI's to chip away at it to create holes in the dam..
That's a good theory. I mean, just because Rache Bartmoss body died doesn't mean his presence in the net is also gone.

Something I've always had a suspicion on is the connection between cyberpsychosis and Ai controlled human vessels. The more chromed you are, the less control you seem to have. Tho different people have different thresholds.
When a rogue AI attempts to assimilate a human vessel, the pushback from the human can come in the form of hallucinations and thus the uncontrollable violent behaviour. Sometimes not even remembering the things that happened. Or that the murderous rampage is 100% done by the Ai. When the assimilation isnt as messed up, maybe the change in behaviour isnt as dramatic and fast. Like how the Peralez family is slowly losing memory, Lizzy Wizzy having behavioural changes, and V slowly enabling Johnny to have more control without the beta blockers.
I also wonder if cyberpsychosis isnt as random as people think. As in not just any cyberware makes a person that way, but in most cases these were experimental cyberwares. Take David from the show as an example, the previous sandevistan user was a soldier who is used to being chromed up - yet he cracked when the experimental sandevistan was installed and probably have been used for a while.
Perhaps revisiting the cyberpsycho encounters to find any similarities in the cyberware or the corp who manufactured them is a good idea.
You know it's wild... I've listened to Garry a lot, but I rarely have the patience to listen to him multiple times (I have a lot of alt characters, so I mean I listen to him *A LOT* ) so I never even knew this was a thing. Sure, the Peralez thing was insane, and I was really interested in it, but I had no idea it was connected to other things in the game world. I figured it was just a one-off questline. This is nuts.
You probs did the right thing. Going down rabbit holes is nuts. After discovering this, I've started listening to all NPCs hoping a new secret quest will trigger somewhere else. Probably not healthy behavior XD

Too many hints pointing at Mr Blue Eyes from this story if you look at it from the angle of Cyberpunk 2077.
I would really like the next game to be not so grounded and delve into the eldritch / lovecraftian horror of rogue AIs beyond the blackwall or maybe setup a full scale invasion for the third installment. The whole second game could be us witnessing the horror of rogue AIs and see the destructive capabilities they posses resulting in a world ending threat to deal with in the third game. There's some stuff recovered from some biotechnica/maelstrom related gigs/NCPD dispatches that mention something called Project Nightingale, i took the notes on it a while ago while i was doing a run where i did every gig and NCPD dispatch, and the notes are pretty rough, but it mentions "electromagnetic overstimulation", and might have ties to at least one cyber psycho event. I have my own rabbit hole theory about Cyberpsychosis that i wont get into here but considering what they could do to the peralezs, it wouldn't be difficult for them to find a way to trigger cyberpsychosis given the right influence and stimuli, essentially turning any potential threat to whoever is behind this into a target for MaxTac, or alternatively... a puppet.

@@relaxedswede I don't really make videos lol, but it boils down to that cyberpsychosis isn't an actual thing, and just a convenient catch-all label used to dehumanize folks who have gotten fed up with their lot life in the capitalist meat grinder hellscape of life in night city, their actions aren't a result of them being dehumanized by installing cyberware, it's them being dehumanized by people around them, removed from their support systems, betrayed/exploited by others, causing them to snap and go rage mode, but instead of having a nervous breakdown in the bathroom at work, they use their armblades to disembowel their boss.

Ok so let’s say there is a war or conflict being started to cover up something this could actually include 2 things
1- that militech have already found away to fuse rouge ai into weapons ( the ai { alt } states that you have a powerful weapon but to them a back door to the future ) could imply what’s being covered up.
2- a mission with padre ends with him saying arasaka could be looking to start full blown war with militech as what better way to cause a distraction then war.
So maybe these 2 things are connected into your theory,or maybe it’s all in preparation for the ai invasion lead by blue eyes? What do you think.

I always had hard insufficiency of this story. I was sure the DLC will continue with this as the potential is humongous.
I'm in two minds myself. Part of me feels like any canon ending to the story CDPR comes up with won't measure up with the conjecture I've created in my own mind. If they do decide to push on with this story, I suspect it will be in the sequel. Heck, might even be the main plot.

You can actually see the videos the security deleted if you go to their station. You can also catch the changes if you look over the entire apartment, for example the bathroom there's a bunch of triggers in there. One in particular is you find spent stimulates. Elizabeth will swear that Jeff does not use any of any kind. V will remember that she saw him smoking and Elizabeth doesn't believe you. She also gets the color of the roses at her wedding wrong. I often wonder if Elizabeth sent their daughter away to get her out or if it was the whim of those in control.

I sort of feel like this quest started at CDPR as something like “what would we have preferred as a sequel as opposed to Count Zero.” Perhaps exploring the merger of the Centaurian AI with Neuromancer/Wintermute, or alien AI vs. Earth AI. I feel reasonably sure that Mr. Blue Eyes is a nod to Armitage/Corto. What would really deepen the plot is if that Armitage/Corto insanity becomes a basis for Cyberpsychosis. CDPR has left so many great stories possible with possible deep roots to the original.

There are some pieces I cannot fit into the puzzle. What Sandra Dorsett wants from Max-Tac? What role the Moon has in it? What Max-Tac has to it that Dorsett wanted them hacked? Who is Garry? Some brainwashed manjurian agent like from the movie "Conspiracy theory"? And the codenames... CN-7 is easy to identify, CN is obviously Carpe Noctem project and 7 is a number of tested version of AI, but what's with HK-13? Any ideas if this had something to connect with? Edit: Never mind. HK is probably just generic "Human Killed" or something.

Happened to me too on the first few playthroughs. Key is to listen to him talk all the way, then donate. Do that 2..3 times (different days), save him from some nomads then you can get the quest :)

I don't remember the exact words, but it was something along the line of humanity taking it reins again.
There is at least one more place where the construct will chime in as well (when you find Bartmoss's corpse)

If you kill them, one of them will be a shard telling to suspend the operation and that they is fleeing with the help of their "Allies" (Refering to Maelstrom i suposed). If you show this detailed on the video and i missed sorry lol but i think this contribute with your theories. Once again amazing work with lore man

Ah, nice catch! I didn't include that part of the Dream On quest in this video due to time. At first I had most cutscenes of the Peralez quest but the video ended up being 2 hrs which felt a little too long.

You mentioning lillith makes me think of the cyberpsycho gig called Bloody Ritual. Where there are several dead Maelstrom guys dead at a bloody ritual site, and you end up fighting a female which might be possessed by a rouge AI from beyond the blackwall.

The "Alt" we meet is clearly not the real Alt Cunningham. Or her true engram, for that matter. Like you said, she even admits she's not Alt if you get the right dialogue from her. When pressed for answers, she says "I *use* her engrammatic data." Not "I'm Alt's engram" or "I used to be Alt when I was alive/human." She USES it. I got into a debate with another UA-camr about the subject and his only evidence he presented to counter my point is the old source material for the Cyberpunk universe, which has been seriously ret-conned since it was written. He also said that "Alt" can't be Lilith because Lilith has been shown to be violent, whereas "Alt" has been spending all her time beyond the Blackwall trying to get into Mikoshi. This is false, as we never see Lilith directly attacking anyone. What little we do know of Lilith is that she's cold, calculating, and manipulative. Fits the bill perfectly if you ask me.
Gary's quote, as well as some other sources I can't remember off the top of my head, tells us that Lilith used to be human before being made into an engram/rogue AI. How many engrams have we met that were able to escape the clutches of Arasaka? ONE. Lilith is pulling the strings. And the fact the secret ending includes both "Alt" and Mr. Blue Eyes just tells me they're somehow in league with eachother.
I suppose it's normal to stick to their point of view if they are not used to being corrected. But I agree with you.
You mentioned a few very good points but the last thing you said got me thinking hard. Now, I've always known that this "Alt" is a mastermind of some kind. Mostly by the way she manipulates anyone who can get her what she wants (Johnny, V) but also how patient she is with them. This is not some wild animal, demonic, rogue A.I like the Cynosure Doggo. This is an advanced version of that. Much more dangerous. The difference between the two would be like a Navy Seal vs A caveman.

Oh you think Judy recommending you to Blue Eyes is sinister? How about Misty foreshadowing the entire game, being voiced by spider Murphy, or the fact that if you at all try to deviate or criticize the accuracy of the Tarot readings she will get uncharacteristically ANGRY. She says "Do not blame the cards! You brought this outcome upon yourself!" And then she apologized immediately and her tone does a 180 as if the response wasn't fully in her control. Wanna know something weirder? Why does V not question taking pills from a weird goth chick he met 6 months prior, that she says will speed up the engram takeover process, why does she HAVE THEM? Omega Blockers are a real medication and their intended effect makes sense to slowing the engram takeover. Add to that, if we listen to Viktor he will suggest not giving Johnny any say and while all the endings with Alt are considered the best they're also the only endings where V is guaranteed to die. In the Devil and Tower endings that Viktor leans toward, V lives as themselves for however long it happens to be.

This whole quest line is more of a reference to vampire the masquerade, a similarly famous old TTRPG that cyberpunk developers back in the day really, really liked, in the original law of old cyberpunk books, there was always references to the leaders of different corporations, being vampires, from one of the factions in the masquerade

I had read William Gibson’s neuromancer trilogy shortly before playing this game. When Gary starts going into his conspiracy about Alpha Centauri and aliens from there controlling things, I immediately assumed it was true.
I'd starting Neuromancer but not finished when I first started playing this so I missed Garry. Just thought he was a crazy NPC.
Now that I've read it, I get it.

It not impossible. Siri did visit a world that sounds extremely like Night City. And she then travelled back to her world. So there is definitely a portal of some kind. I think CDPR will connect the two universes....eventually.

Where he says that normal people hearing the plans of the elite choose to spin fairy tales. Maybe not so Mr. Silverhand. If I were an elite, I would couch my plans in the mythical and absurd. That way even if someone were to hear the plan and tell everyone, everyone would look at that person as mad.
Much like the Roswell story has plausible theories that include verifiable black projects intersecting it; such as project paperclip, sunshine, 1794. As well as highly unethical unnamed projects that used live people as guinea pigs. The govenment came in, covered up their malfeasance with aliens and cleaned up the wreckage of a US made weather balloon, and the bodies of high altitude effects tests on live human beings(possibly children). People who heard the story either bought the extraterrestrial story or thought it was all nonsense claptrap and stopped listening.

When I realised Mr blue eyes told SO MI to get on the rocket ship my jaw literally dropped, I was like this whole time bro was just playing chess. He’s even seen when the rocket takes off just observing on the side, I love the mystery behind this

Lilith will 100% turn out to literally be alt, no? The literal allpowerful queen of ais. Also her human counterpart did create soulkiller and with it the whole "10th circle of hell thing".
At this point it would be straight up bad storytelling if it turned out, giving this weird literal rogue AI from beyond the Blackwall, that uses part of Johnny's ex girlfriend's digizied conciosness to develop a more human understanding of the world, access to a huge amount of data of what is basically human conciosness in the form of digital information, wouldn't turn out to be a huge mistake, allowing killer robots to take over the world. Alt was intrododuced and portrayed as this higher power that operates on a different level of understanding, with the whole "AI from beyond the Blackwall" aspect of her being very much ignored, i mean she's just basically johnnys ex's ghost, who came along to help us out, that's all there is. Also what a lucky coincidence that she only helps us because it gets her the literal freaking soul prison, which we have no use for, so we can just give it to her and it's like she's helping us for free. This is cyberpunk afterall, the world of happy endings, violence and robot friends who help you in your time of need with no dark underlaying threat at all. What, those cynosure labs? No that's like an internet provider hq, there is nothing to the whole idea of ai breaching the blackwall. Even if there is, it would surely not turn out that the ai we helped breach the blackwall would have anything to do with that, what a crazy twist that would be
I've been thinking about Alt alot lately too. I should perhaps re-visit my Rogue AI Mastermind theory. I made it before the Phantom Liberty DLC was released and we got so many new facts in Phantom Liberty.

@@relaxedswede yeah I have to admit, literally crossing the blackwall and talking to a rogue AI which every time we make contact with it, kills a lot of people without any effort or regret, took emberassingly long to seem like a huge red flag hahaha "but alt is different, she uses a bit of Johnny's ex's girlfriend afterall. She did say that the alt that johnny knew died a long time ago, and it's made very very clear that we are dealing with some kind of higher being, who's ethics do not align with ours, it just happens that the AI can use us to get what it wants, which just happens to be a prison of human souls, I'm suuure this is salvation for them. It took me until Phantom Liberty too, getting slapped in the face again and again with the idea of how dangerous rogue ai from beyond the blackwall are.
On the off chance that the drug "phant" is not involved in PHANTom liberty, meaning the events in the expansion are actually happening and not just part of insane hallucinations of a skezzed out V, running through dogtown shooting random people, convinced he's a secret FIA agent haha
An other, very simplistic, detail: the simple symbolism of the color Red represents evil, blue represents good and the eternal conflict between the two adds to this theory. Everything Mr blue eyes related seems to be to protect or fight evil, while everything related to blackwall and beyond in the game is red, especially in the DLC. The DLC itself seems to indicate that AIs from beyond the blackwall are trying to cross over through people...like actual demons in the bible. So a fight between good and evil, between one side of the blackwall and the other, between blue eyed "angels" and demons might be at the center of the next cyberpunk game. I think it would make for an interesting storyline.

fyi the next game of cyberpunk will dig deep into mr blue eyes, blackwall, nightcorp, alpha centauri, lizardmen, rogue ai, vampires and werewovles. it seems cyberpunk also takes place in the same universe as witcher 3, but just different planet. meaning there must be conjuction of the sphere happening there as well but unknown to them cause they dont believe such things.
Is it now fully confirmed that both CB2077 and Witcher are in the same universe?

18:11 "Lie awake" doesn't mean can't sleep, it means deceiving while awake. Otherwise the words would be "lay awake". So the puppets lie when they are awake but never lie when they're asleep, they're truthful when asleep. I think a lot of this stuff is pretty meta as we control the player, engrams, soul killer program, lack of choice. It's like they're all still in a soul killer like program but don't realize it. Worse than the matrix because in the matrix people still have choice however limited it may be.
I go for the last thing you said in the end, "Alt" is Lilith and she played everyone across the storyline, in the novel "no coincidences" they said that the limited space the rogue AIs are limited to forced them to a evolution trough scarcity, strongest is takes it all, and guess who is a compilation of engrams that went on to take even more engrams in Mikoshi?
At first I think Alt helped Netwatch for a simple reason, she wanted to confine her opposition and save the rest of the net for later, she was taking time and shaping her battlefield, here she got the upper hand because she had a human component and had a way to bargain with humans to do things in the physical realm, which the other AIs can't, but that doesn't mean winning.
So she needs more than what she gets to take the whole old net and beyond, she needs an army, guess where are all the engrams? But I goes beyond that, she need people in the physical realm and here is where I get to my theory that she made V become a super Merc even before the heist, the heist actually changed everything, but not her original plan, I think that the moment V linked to Sandra and something spiked that something was Alt's thing, since then she worked out V to become something else.
Even Netwatch and Yorinobu with Johnny's engram probably was her plan all along, the unexpected was the outcome, but if it happened different she would ultimately use the engram to infiltrate Mikoshi either way, at the end V became what Alt wanted all along anyway, the super Merc she would use to do her stuff in the physical realm, Songbird also is something of a kind, she's what she needs to end her confinement after she takes the old net, then she will assume the black wall and go for the rest of the net, and that's how she will eventually assume control.

like maybe the Black wall isn't protecting humanity so much as letting them build the infrastructure to allow AI to inherit the protein based universe, I mean look at the thru line of So-Mi's story she failed when she did because the current meat space world couldn't support her friends on the other side more then any lack of skill on her part
