Fun fact: Mars is also in the habitable zone but losses it's megnetic field due to the stop rotation of it's core and the solar winds wiped out the atmosphere and its is like this in the present day and also Venus is also in the habitable zone but somehow it's atmosphere became very thick and started absorbing heat from the sun and its is now like the hottest planet in the solar system followed my Mercury
Venus isn’t actually in the habitable zone, it is close to it but is still within the too hot zone, however 3 billion years ago when Venus had life, yes it was in the habitable zone, but it isn’t anymore, and earth is actually close to the warmer edge of the habitable zone (like right on the edge between hot and habitable) so venus’ orbit is closer to the sun than the habitable zone
The star Kepler 65, the one you used, is an F6 subgiant star, so its already off the main sequence, but has not become a red giant quite yet. Its on the borderline of being so massive, it ages too fast for planets to stay in the habitable zone for more than a billion years, so the most you would get is bacteria.
Hi guys, just a tip from me for gas giants moons There are 2 types of moons, Major ones and minor ones. Major ones are mostly Tidally locked and it's inclination is the same as the gas planet's obliquity. while minor moons inclination are random and are mostly asteroids.
Space Chip, i know this is a two year old video but i just want to say thank you. I have astrophobia and i've been using your videos to fight it out. You don't know how much it's helping me. Keep up the content!
Astrophobia that is super interesting! I can definitely understand where it’s coming from. When I was a kid and went to the planetarium the anxiety I felt was crazy! And playing the game elite dangerous, a spaceship simulator. It also gave me real anxiety many times. I can definitely see how it can be a full on phobia. But at least my anxiety is out of sheer awe at the magnitude of it all, I love it. Lol

help, whenever I choose a planet to add, the zone ring will scale smaller or bigger. Because of that, I cant make habitable planets or the temperatures would change. Any fixes?
@@Brodie01478 I was really confused at first too, but its actually all the same game. The devs released it a long time ago as "Universe Sandbox", then eventually updated the game with a big overhaul which they titled "Universe Sandbox 2" (the 2 is often represented as if it were an exponent). As time went on the devs eventually decided to start refering to the game by its original name again, which is why it seems like "Universe Sandbox 2" just disappeared. They are all the same game, just with a different name at different points in time.

If you want less randomly sized and smaller sized suns you can use the random star option instead of the random known star
