I don't get the rotation. I checked the 68946 tab in the calculator. After the opener, the loop rotation is 19.38s, with SK casting her liberation at 27.86. But SK has a 25s cd on her liberation. Repeating this loop every 20s is simply impossible. Yes, people don't play frame perfect, but this is a 5s difference (plus the point of the spreadsheet is to compute theoretical DPS ceiling). The rotation must be adjusted in some way to account for SK's longer cooldowns.
Oh good catch and valid point ! Looks like I gotta work on some changes for rotation loop validation... so with the slower opener at 65K and the "illegal" loop at almost 70K, a fixed one should be somewhere in the middle (opener has longer SK uptime, we can shift some of that to Sanhua heavy + basic 4 5... I'll have to adjust some things)
I think you need to mention how much dps that shorekeeper does compare's to main dps / sub dps, cause i think its important to determine if we wanna min max her dmg or go with convenience (double ER 3 costs). Lets say if you're using double ER 3 costs you will lose 20 % dps (and i dont think you specified enough if this is team dps loss or personal dps loss), 20% of 10% team dps doesnt seems like a lot (assuming shorekeeper only takes 10% of the team dps pie). I hope you can elaborate on this and sorry if i didnt explain this clear enough, thanks!
This is totally something that I think I should have covered in the video, but will also brush on it in a follow up topic that I've already written up! TLDR is she only contributes ~7% damage (give or take depending on the team), which isn't much, so there's no harm to run double ER really :3 (healing bonus on the other hand, though... I have things to say about that one!)
@@couchpotato1546 harder to powercreep in this game because of how much you're punished for elemental resistance + the need for 3 teams. That said, the power creep isn't that much and there are definitely use cases where Verina is going to be preferred by a lot of people (much shorter rotation, coordinated attacks, easier to play)
Isn't the fact that she forces you into a 25 second rotation, like, really bad for most teams? I suppose it's not a big deal for most players that won't do perfect rotations but otherwise it looks like a dps loss compared to verina or even originite bell bot
Lot of people seem to forget that she gets 10% ER from her Liberation from Inherent Skill 2 and 10% ER from the Fallacy Echo. So you can reach max buffs at just 230%, 220% if Rover is on the team/you're in Black Shores.

Base (100%) + Passive/Echo (20%) + Stellar S (77.04%) = 197.04% + 5 Substats averaging 10.6% each = 250% In this situation, is it better to run: Crit Dmg or HP% for 4-cost? Double Spectro or Spectro + HP% for 3 cost?
As someone who primarily used Baizhi, since Verina only arrived towards the end of 1.1, I have no feelings never playing Verina again. Also Ms. Shorekeeper and her Weapon came home in 79 total pulls. Lumi has a lot of pulls left over.
at first i was like "oh that was an unfair comparison she hit some birds" but then i remembered that that is the AVERAGE verina experience, so its all fair
Question: Is it confirmed that she snapshots the ER% you had when you casted the ultimate and keeps that value for the full 30/40 seconds? I'm just curious if your buffs will get weaker once the 20s buff of Fallacy of No Return falls off if you're banking on the 10% from that to reach 250%.
Nvm, tested it myself and it definitely didn't go down, so it stays at the highest it's been. Casting the echo after the liberation also made it update to reflect the extra 10%.

3:11 It's kinda unrealistic to suggest going for Spectro/ER 3 costs with Variation when you will need high/max roll ER substats on all five of your echoes just to boost Shorekeeper damage. Just run double ER if you are using Variation and save your precious gold tuners for DPS units.
You don't need max, I have spectro/ER 250% ER with fallacy with okay ish ER rolls, in fact I'm 255,4% with her inherent skill + fallacy using variation
Why do you use plunge for her forte and not heavy? Also I really like that you noted skills that are “extremely minor increases” for leveling. When I don’t have time to watch a full guide, that’s the part I always look for first. Noting it down on the screen instead of just saying it makes it much more convenient
In this game, a "multiplier increase" is just a final multiplicative increase on a damage value. It's not additive with the base multiplier (confusing wording, I know!). For example, whatever 20% * 3 turns out to do 10K damage per hit, then now it does 10K * 1.42 = 14.2K per hit~

Is that Encore hyper carry the best dps (team) in the game right now? Or just happens to be the best tested? I have Encore and have been using her in quickswap with Changli. It didn't cross my mind at any point that potentially Encore without Changli would compete or be better? Amazed that theoretically it's stronger dps than the jinhsi team. Also have a built Sanhua, so I could easily switch things up if I took the time to learn Encore a bit better. I really appreciate the high level of detail on the technical gameplay aspects in your video. Wuthering Waves is much more complex than Genshin, and I feel like too many content creators don't take sufficient time to highlight those aspects because people are used to playing Genshin and mostly just trying to cause some sort of reaction that inevitably does high damage and kills everything.
It depends. Keep in mind that these stats are generally going to be focused on dps over the course of 2 minutes without any other consideration in mind. Changli/Jinshi duo dps will technically be lower over the course of 2 minutes but their burst damage is SO high that, at the highest level of play, speed-runners can clear a floor in like 40-50 seconds. That time simply just isn't possible with hyper carry Encore.
The thing with Changli (and characters like Jinhsi, too) that make them "better in practice", especially when coming to speedruns, is due to crit fishing. In a highly optimized speedrun where the boss dies in 2 rotations, it's not too uncommon to hit an unusually lucky run where you crit every Changli Forte and Liberation / every Jinhsi nuke, inflating their best times by a LOT. Someone like Encore, who deals a lot of little hits, can't realistically "fish" for a better RNG run - I mean, it's possible, would take a LOT more grinding... But anyways, I'm glad you like the video :3 nerding out about what's possible in this game is really fun for me !!
Hey Maygi, i had a question, assuming you manage to reach 250% without any ER 3 cost, did you calc how much of a damage increase would a second Spectro% 3 cost be ? Asking because since i got her Sig and it makes it possible with 5 high ER substat rolls, i wondered how it would stack up against an ER% 3 cost set with better offensive substat rolls over the board. Love your content, thanks !
Also, follow up on that question, did you try simming Bellborne Echo on the subdps ? I assumed it should be a straight upgrade on the Xiangli + Yinlin team since it can be used to cancel one of Yinlin's skill animation and let her swap-cancel her forte instead, on top of also buffing her own damage since its a team-wide buff
Adding another Spectro 3 cost would be around a ~1.5% team DPS increase (or, a ~15% DPS increase for Shorekeeper herself)~ I was planning on covering up the Bell vs Heron topic in a separate video! But the TLDR is, Bell is a straight upgrade for most comps (especially dual DPS comps or characters that have other long animations that compete for the swap as Heron always takes a swap or dodge otherwise), though Heron is still a bit better for certain hypercarry comps (e.g. Encore Sanhua).
Great content as usual, but I was wondering what about people without both her signature AND variation? Because yea I never got Variation 🙃 honestly I wouldn't pull for a Baizhi on steroids that needs to normal attack for half an hour to get her concerto, I'm tired of that, so I was wondering how bad it really is without those weapons. I don't really care much about the dps increase, I value more a smooth and enjoyable experience. I write this presuming the 1:40 Concerto rotation assumes either signature or variation, in which case I highly suggest you next time to specify such an important requirement because otherwise the communication is de facto misleading (and your content is just TOO GOOD to allow that). Anyway I was wondering how the Jinhsi Zhezhi rotation would look like with Shorekeeper since in the Verina one no intro into Verina ever happens. Thank you for your work!

Shorekeeper is a limited 5-Star; Verina is a standard 5-Star. By definition Shorekeeper should be better overall.

Can you explain how c6 actually work? Where does multiplyer increase goes? Does it do 20%*3 -> 62%*3?

it`s just numbers. in towers i get best results with two main DD: Rover, Changli, XY, Uncore etc.

In a highly optimized speedrun where the boss dies in 2 rotations, it's not too uncommon to hit an unusually lucky run where you crit every Changli Forte and Liberation / every Jinhsi nuke, inflating their best times by a LOT. Someone like Encore, who deals a lot of little hits, can't realistically "fish" for a better RNG run - I mean, it's possible, would take a LOT more grinding...
But anyways, I'm glad you like the video :3 nerding out about what's possible in this game is really fun for me !!

If you can get S2, go for that, otherwise weapon is better if you're just comparing S1 to R1

Hey Maygi, i had a question, assuming you manage to reach 250% without any ER 3 cost, did you calc how much of a damage increase would a second Spectro% 3 cost be ? Asking because since i got her Sig and it makes it possible with 5 high ER substat rolls, i wondered how it would stack up against an ER% 3 cost set with better offensive substat rolls over the board. Also, follow up on that question, did you try simming Bellborne Echo on the subdps ? I assumed it should be a straight upgrade on the Xiangli + Yinlin team since it can be used to cancel one of Yinlin's skill animation and let her swap-cancel her forte instead, on top of also buffing her own damage since its a team-wide buff
Adding another Spectro 3 cost would be around a ~1.5% team DPS increase (or, a ~15% DPS increase for Shorekeeper herself)~
I was planning on covering up the Bell vs Heron topic in a separate video! But the TLDR is, Bell is a straight upgrade for most comps (especially dual DPS comps or characters that have other long animations that compete for the swap as Heron always takes a swap or dodge otherwise), though Heron is still a bit better for certain hypercarry comps (e.g. Encore Sanhua).

Great content as usual, but I was wondering what about people without both her signature AND variation? Because yea I never got Variation 🙃 honestly I wouldn't pull for a Baizhi on steroids that needs to normal attack for half an hour to get her concerto, I'm tired of that, so I was wondering how bad it really is without those weapons. I don't really care much about the dps increase, I value more a smooth and enjoyable experience.
I write this presuming the 1:40 Concerto rotation assumes either signature or variation, in which case I highly suggest you next time to specify such an important requirement because otherwise the communication is de facto misleading (and your content is just TOO GOOD to allow that). Anyway I was wondering how the Jinhsi Zhezhi rotation would look like with Shorekeeper since in the Verina one no intro into Verina ever happens. Thank you for your work!
