His pouring skills are spectacular
They used a stuntman for that bit - that's why they had to hide Deane's face.
It took 69¢ to break the surface. _Nice._
N I C E
These days you would need to use 5¢ pieces, so it would now cost $1.45 to break the surface tension. I guess that's inflation for ya 😕 lol
nice

Dear uploader, I don't know why you started uploading these videos a couple of months ago or so but I sure am glad you did since I've been missing this show for over 25 years! Edit: Wait, you started uploading YEARS ago???
Uploader? It's the very same two men hosting the shows that converted the footage to digital then uploaded. They even reply to comments sometimes.
I think they started when they either got the rights, or they bought the old tapes. Rob or Dean are sure to get back to you, though.
The Curiosity Show was broadcast for 18 years in Australia and 14 other countries (from 1972 to 1990). Our UA-cam Channel now has 103,000 subscribers and has had more than 16 million views. Please spread the good news and tell your friends. Also, we have produced 3 DVDs with our favourite segments www.curiosityshow.com.au Deane.
@@CuriosityShow Hi! Came here to update my comment but saw I already had replies. I've read up on the show on wikipedia since posting my comment and I will check out the website you named me. The children I know who would be interested in watching show segments only speak German (I am from Switzerland) so I am glad you posted the German dubbed version of some segments on your channel. Those dubbed segments also have huge nostalgic value for me since your show was one of my absolute favourite things on t.v. so many years ago. THANKS!
@@dunda563 Deane actually replied, yes! After posting my original comment I read up on the show on wikipedia and am now a bit more up to date.
The old 1 cent coin geez times have changed allot
Back when you could buy a bunch of mixed lollies for a few cents. When they took 1 and 2 cent coins out of circulation, the price of lollies went up exponentially. Those were tough times as a kid. I still haven't gotten over it.
How old is this show?
a lot
My sister was living in New Zealand when they decided to get rid of the nickel, if I recall correctly. Meanwhile, America keeps minting pennies even though nobody wants them. I think it costs more to mint a penny than the penny's worth, though that could be hearsay and rumor.
Hopefully a thirsty Rob doesn't happen by and grab the needle laden glass of watef.

Man I used to love this show. Dig his jacket, too cool
That would make for a good gambling game.
I don't have 1 cent coins...or friends.
I'll be your friend! I'll send you some 1 cent coins from America. We still have them here. We don't use them but for whatever reason we still have them lol
Top class work. Way ahead of its times
Thanks for your interest in our UA-cam channel and for your kind remarks. Deane.

It's amazing what qualified for "fun" back in the 80s and early 90s before cell phones, home internet and console gaming!
I only have hundred dollar bills, can't do this
Isn’t level, that is a factor, you can see it whatever he’s putting pennies into.
In other news... he said, “one cent coins”.
