  • In preparation for the Tet holiday, Quang Phu Cau Village turns a sea of pink. Villagers are making millions of incense sticks, used in spiritual worship. At one point, 100% of this village made incense sticks, but as demand fluctuated and younger generations found other jobs, many factories shut down. Today, there are only about three manufacturers of incense left in the village. Nguyễn Thi is one of them. To stay afloat, Thi mechanized much of the process and got his brand, Thủy Xuân Tiên, officially registered. We get an inside look inside his incense stick factory leading up to the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
