I have about 140 miles on my Brute so far. No issues whatsoever. First impression I get from others, “It feels and looks more robust in person. It looks better in person. Wow! That’s a really expensive bike!” As far as the ride is concerned, the power delivery is so smooth as well as the overall balance. I can coast very easily going 1-2mph on a narrow side walk sand not really have to put any consideration towards keeping my balance. The suspension is plush. Went on a three hour ride last night and my ass didn’t hurt. Also like the fact that you can ride it comfortably at 20 mph for HOURS, then have enough battery to ride back home going to same speed as traffic. Literally the best vehicle ever. The bike feels absolutely solid and over engineered in every way possible. Does not feel or look cheap by no means in person. Feels like a real motorcycle. Weighs a ton but the motor is so powerful, you can’t feel the weight. Even when you barely give it throttle going up hill. Hills are not a challenge at all.
Thank you for providing a mini-review! I’m glad you are enjoying it. It took Haul Bikes 2 weeks to go 250 miles, so I have no idea when mine will arrive on the West Coast. I was surprised that we don’t get a tracking number.
@@Supersangron Mine took about a month to deliver. They don’t work like UPS where they have 1,000’s of trucks delivering in every city at all times. Every time I see a video going over their bikes its always a treat. Upstanding guys doing awesome work. Great job to the entire team! I wish someone did a complete range test on the Javelin. I want to buy it to go to the beach, and I dont live too far but I'd like to know exactly how far I could go.
@@maximumchargeEV if you ever get a chance to speak to this guy again, especially about making a trailer he should make a fully enclosed box style trailer for tools, food, and such
@@maximumchargeEV I dont have an exact route planned out, so I dont have a number. But I imagine the day would go something like load up my backpack and gear into the bike, drive down to the state beach about 5-10 miles away (depending on the spot). Head to the breweries around, maybe go another town over to visit some of the ones I dont go often. Then drive home, stop by another spot or two. And in the end it would be 40 miles or so. I'd like not only to have enough battery to comfortably do that, in case I end up wandering off a bit. But also know that once the battery is hitting below 50% that the bike wont slow down considerably and I would still be able to carry all my gear and drive at safe speeds along the street (like between 30-45 MPH). Sometimes you have to pass and the speed matters a lot there.
Great review, very thorough. It helps us out in internet land demo the bike with our eyes. Yes!!! Make the heavy duty bike trailer! I know I would buy one. It would really add to the Brute's utility and appease more buyer markets.
The ability to pull a trailer would be AWSOME. I am in the market for such a bike. Sadly I ad to sell my Harley due to medical reasons. I miss riding and for me this is perfect. Be good for camping, day to day transport, taking my dogs out for a spin, groceries as well as working at the gun club. Keep us updated. Thanks
I have the Graffiti X it's very close to the Brute design. I love it, and it came with the same tires... I no longer worry about getting flats like i used to.
Thanks, Alex. I wouldn’t mind having one of these bikes to commute back-and-forth to work. I wouldn’t exactly call it a pedal bike. New Hampshire law says to be a moped it has to have pedals, but they can’t be functioning. As the original mopeds had pedals to start the motor but not to propel it. so in my state to register it, it would have to be a scooter but a scooter cannot be capable of going more than 30 mph and has to have the equivalent motor of under a 50 cc so New Hampshire really needs to figure out where these are going to fit in
I think it would be hard to pass up on a Honda 125cc ABS Trail for the Brute. When seen side by side and figuring in range and utility. Price wise similar.. Weight is the only one big factor. A couple hundred a year for insurance, but no worries about any legality ever. I would highly consider a Honda Trail to supplement something like the new Wired. Have to figure in that Honda can fix your bike and has dealers everywhere.
I think the advantage is the brute when riding legally. If I'm correct (I'm probably not) but state laws may find a problem riding the 125cc on roads and pull someone over versus a pedal bike and that's the nice thing about the brute. No license needed and likely be able to troll cops with the, "but it's a bicycle..." Line and get away with it. Maybe. Charge n go with the freedom to ride for those that don't have a motorcycle license and don't plan on it.
Sooooo.... Is there an option to where I can get the headlights to sit vertically Instead of horizontally??? I literally just bought those same headlights off of ali express to put on my romeo pro 2! (Vertical orientation) 😅
how not ghost pedal with that front and rear gearing??? you need 60+ teeth at the front and 11 or lower in the rear for 40+ miles ... especially with the small tire circumference...
@@dg9bfc They used a 60-tooth chainring on the Spark Bandit, which was good up to about 35mph but given that the Brute has no PAS and more than twice the power of the Bandit, they opted for a more straightforward/smaller set-up. The Brute was definitely not designed for exercise.
How much have you paid over the years for the license, insurance, and registration for that bike? Ever try taking a combustion engine vehicle on a bike trail?

Needs a no pedal/chain/chainring peg option.
I'm sure spark can make this happen for you. They specialize in customizing the bikes that they sell
You can easily pop off the chain and cranks and put a peg on the crank mount.
how not ghost pedal with that front and rear gearing??? you need 60+ teeth at the front and 11 or lower in the rear for 40+ miles ... especially with the small tire circumference...
Yes but the power you would add would be negligible. Good for exercise at 40mph though!
