- Hey guys! Decided to run a quick video after my IWI video to support why I believe why my choice length is an optimal length for barrels!
Like and Subscribe, and PLEASE throw some comments my way! Looking for video ideas, any video issues, anything! Thank you all for your time!
Thanks for recommending this video to me. It was definitely helpful and may have just solidified my decision for the 12.5!
I hope so! Not one of my most interesting videos, but hey, im not recording full lenth indiania Jones movies quite yet (haha). But I know barrel length on alot of different firearms are very controversial, so this was me getting my feet wet in putting/adding another opinion out there in the mix
You info is spot on. Precisely why I pulled the trigger on an IWI Zion 12.5inch. Be safe!!!
Thank you! Im trying to put the best and on point info that I can! Hopefully soon I can look into some good 308 styles. I think upping the caliber will end with a 16" more than likely. Never know when those deer will have steel plates with their kevlar
I have a 11.5 couldn't find a 12.5 for a reasonable price.. PSA had great prices on the 11.5 AR. Very happy with it..
Honestly any short style is good to have incase all the stuff they are trying to pass becomes law, or atleast the brace portions
@@1911customz can't agree more..
I agree,. 11.8 / 12.5 I think are as short as one should be, for everything you said , longer barrel give accuracy, personal I like my 16" , but I'm 6'1" 245 knuckles dragging the ground, mostly because I can't stand up straight, hahahaha 😂😎
Yea, for my 12.5 I get enough concussion, and it gives enough to hunt at mid distances for hogs, any shorter and you might as well just carry dragons breath in a 12Ga shotgun. My personal opinion though
What makes u choose a pistol vs rifle
Well let me start by saying Im sorry, I never had an alert you comented! Pistol is essentially a technical term for when a rifle has a "pistol brace" and under 16" of barrel length. If the rifle had an actual stock it would fall under nfa and need stamps and all the alphabet soup that comes with it. The brace essentially allows you that shorter barrel, which when I got it I was working at the sheriffs dept, and the shorter barrel was easier to hold steady for longer range durations, and being 3.5" shorter than a 16" its also shorter in the stock/pistol brace allowing for about another inch to 3 or 4 inches depending on where the brace was adjusted to being a maximum of about 6 to 7.5 inches shorter overall compared to my 16" AR, which in turn would also allow for tighter turns say in houses if the time came to need to effectivly clear a house. If youre able to get both, Id get both as they each feel just as good
I’d rather have an 11.5 for a Pistol/SBR build. Bit more compact and easier to conceal, and also doesn’t lose that much effectiveness. Most Pistol/SBR builds are suited for CQB roles anyway so effective range really won’t matter especially since fragmentation and tumbling are still going to be best around the 50-100 yard area.
Right, well strictly cqb id agree, I was trying to get more along the lines of a one size does all, hence why I compared it mainly to the 16". In a way like how some people view the 40sw as the best of both the 9mm and .45 worlds.
any update on your 12.5?
Its still in my collection, ive tossed around the idea of putting it up on Gunbroker sence I dont use it as often as I did at the department. Its about 1k rounds, still flawless. With the comp it feels like a .17hmr recoil with a 50cal exaust.
