How would you juxtaposition this latter viewpoint, developed by Yoram Hazony in his book The Philosophy of Hebrew Scripture, with the former, according to which the concept of Korban defines 'innovation'? One could pursue this further, and claim that in accordance to the Rambam Moreh Nevuchim), Jews were only given Korbanot to compensate the fact that the idolatrous nations also had them?

Blaming Moshe Ranbeinu for the conclusion of the spies is unjustified of course and even absurd, because each of them had free choice to say what they wanted. Korach's erroneous conclusion that we don't need leaders and we're all the same is patently false! Nevertheless he is correct that we are all holy, and therefore, deserve the normal attention given to someone in meaningful conversation. That is missing in our communities, even today, and that's what we have to pay attention to.
