- Up next an exclusive interview with 70s Legend Peter Frampton the singer write guitarist who had failed as a solo artists for years. He procrastinated and only had a few days to write an album that's songs would eventually become part of Frampton Comes Alive which for many years was the biggest selling album ever until the 80s. At the time He felt his songs were good but for some reason they just weren’t going anywhere. He partied and frittered away his time to record and was left with only a few days to create an entire album. He did and it would pay off big time. Up next, the story of Show Me The Way and he talks about his time working with George Harrison’s. Peter also tells us the story of how he learned to use a very cool effect on his guitar to take one of these songs to classic rock legend and how he went from zero to hero virtually overnight next on professor of rock.

Poll: What is your pick for the greatest live album in rock history?
Cheap Trick
Live From Budokan saved them from being a footnote in rock and established them as a true stadium rock band.
Dire Straits - Alchemy Live
Also, Eric Clapton - 24 Nights (Just because I was there for that final night).
The Who - Live at Leeds ('95 Reissue)
Peter Frampton - FCA
Journey - Captured
Rush - A Show of Hands
Grateful Dead - Steal Your Face
UFO - Strangers In The Night
I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Frampton and I have to say he's the humblest person I've ever met, celebrity or not. This interview shows just that!!! He's the REAL DEAL and nothing less!! A genuine LEGEND and he doesn't even see himself like that. Even when other Legends request his expertise! He's so down-to-earth and so pleasant to converse with, extremely smart and talented at everything he does. It doesn't even have to pertain to music, either. Just an overall pleasant person to be around. Never a dull moment around him!!
He is so sweet and so talented.
I heard the same thing about him even at the top of his fame. Just my gut feeling but I think a lot of the wrinkled white-haired old rockers are happy youngsters like the professor are interested in their careers/songs. All the songs/artists are from my heyday and its fun to hear background stories how the songs came together.
I loved when Frampton was referenced in Wayne's World 2. "Exqueese me? Have I seen this one before? "Frampton Comes Alive"? Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of "Tide".
Peter is such a humble, down-to-earth guy. Great interview.
One of my favourite guitarists all-time and I would love to meet him! Him, Jeff Beck, and Mark Knopfler are the British big 3 on my list! I've met many of my guitar and musical idols like Neal Schon, Joe Satriani, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, SRV, Stanley Jordan and numerous others, but Frampton still tops the list. I was learning saxophone as a child. I loved guitar but it just didn't work! I could play by ear so I learned guitar solos on alto sax. "Show Me The Way" was the first of his songs. I love then and still now cranking up the stereo playing along with "Do You Feel Like We Do!" When PF was living in Cincinnati I tried to get there. I know people there and tried but could never time it right. Now with his illness, he's not touring much if at all. I hope he still makes music for us to enjoy!
It appears so. Peter and David Crosby are like the two ends of the pendulum swing.
That's why he was in Humble Pie 😎
Humble pie
I was Program Director of a Rock station in Tampa in the early 90’s and interviewed Peter for my afternoon drive show. He was exactly the same as he was in your interview. Humble, self deprecating and a complete gentleman. Total class act.
Peter is a guy who has known the pinnacle of success and then the depths of crashing back to earth. The business ate him up and spit him out.. but like a cat, he has landed on his feet and remained true to himself, his talent and his fans. Fingerprints is awesome.. seeing him win a Grammy for that was a long overdue and well deserved reward!
....AND, we have a WINNAH! ...awesome comment, it 'spoke' to me.....
He's a fighter, no question!
Me too!
He is so resilient.
He maintained his wonderful persona and attitude throughout, a true ambassador of Guitar and rock ‘n’ roll.
I saw Mr Frampton as Bowie's guitarist ( they went to the same school ) on the 1987 Glass Spider tour and was wowed by his guitar chops. I saw him again co-headlining a tour with Cheap Trick and was blown away again. Awesome performer
That's right. I asked him about that.
yep and Peter Framptons Father was teacher and head of the art department at that school, (Bromley technical high school) and credited as well by D.Bowie as inspirational influence.
Super cool! Two musical geniuses.
@@waltrohrbach2459 That I didn't know. Thanks for sharing
Awesome interview. Frampton Comes Alive! was one of the absolute cornerstones of life in the 70s. You had a copy, your friends had copies, your older siblings had copies...it was played at every party, dance and gathering. And when the albums warped, you went out and bought more copies.
It was one of the best things ever to come out of the 70s, for sure!
It’s still in my rotation almost 50 years later.
My sister and I shared a copy and she had a huge poster of Peter Frampton on our bedroom wall. She wrote on the album cover with red nail polish that he was a Fox and 1/2. Then she took that one when we divided our records and promptly stored it on its side with all her other vinyl records in the garage, so all of them are gone. Grrr
"Frampton Comes Alive" was quite the gamechanger.
I saw Peter Frampton “Alive” in 2019, and he was amazing! The ladies in the audience were screaming like teenagers!
Another great segment, Professor!
saw him at The Madison Square Garden.I had been into his early albums. The girls screamed the entire concert.had to leave early.
Ha ha. It never leaves you I guess. Thanks!
Wow. You just don't see that anymore.
Haha, he’s definitely a ladies’ man for sure.
I saw Frampton in the mid 70's at RFK Stadium in D. C.. He was with Gary Write and Yes. When we arrived at the stadium, I wanted to find a good set of seats but my girlfriend dragged me down to the field in front of the bandstand so that she could see Peter up close and personal. We had one of the greatest experiences at a long list of concerts that day.
Thanks Professor for a great look back!! 😎
I'm always blessed with what a wonderfully humble guy Peter is. He feels like an old friend.
I am 69 and love your show. You have connected me to music I did not realize who had recorded the songs. I thank you very much.
Me too !
LOVE FRAMPTON love his story. Love this story, love Frampton Comes Alive!
He's one of the nicest, if not the nicest, musicians/rock stars I ever met. He was not the typical rock star; instead he was kind and humble, as well as being very funny. We had quite the startling introduction, and he handled it with grace, while I was hoping the earth would open up and swallow me...lol. What you see is what you get with him.
Saw him in '77 and again in 2019, nearly 42-years to the day apart. One of the greatest guitarists, bar none.
Bob Mayo on the keyboards, Bob Mayo. I always enjoyed seeing Frampton tour with Bob Mayo. Frampton will always hold a special place to me in music history. I was a fan before the live album and when his popularity waned in the 80s. Great interview Professor.
LMAO I typed the Bob Mayo line earlier but deleted it!!! I didn't think anyone would get it. 🙄Also, "Hello San Francisco!"😆
@@frenchcountryhomeschool7860 Frampton said regarding him, "Bob was like a brother to me. I have lost a close personal friend and a talented, professional and outstanding musician." Died at age 52 while touring with Peter Frampton from a heart attack. His resume of the talent he worked with was impressive. "Bob Mayo on the keyboards, Bob Mayo."
I love these interviews. The person's personality comes out & most seem humbled by getting these interviews by you, Adam, PoR. You come up with questions that aren't the norm for them to be asked, it seems. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Charleyanne! Really appreciate your support!
I really enjoyed this interview with Peter as well!
“Humbled”? How so?
@@ProfessorofRock When you said "special effect" I knew who it was instantly. The talk box was a huge deal when it was still a mystery.
@@asynchronicity He's humbled, what more do you want?
Professor, if this is the only interview you ever did, it would be sufficient for a lifetime. You really did your homework! Just WOW! Amazing! And how generous is Peter with his time! You must have been freaking out at least a little, internally. Tremendous interview. Just the best. All good wishes!
His music has meant so much to me over the years, one of the nicest people to grace the stage. I saw him once live back in the day. Peter's music celebrates life.
He is a very special person.
I could listen to Pete tell his stories all day. Man, what a career and what a terrific guy. Everybody likes him.
Always a huge Frampton fan. Absolutely the BEST memories of this music.
By the way, I have NEVER seen a person say they don't like Frampton or change the station when his songs come on!
I used to change the station... My ex loved him (and every other guy she could get her hands on) so I was jealous of him as a youth living in L.A., Winnipeg, Vancouver. As I hit my seventies and listen to great interviews like this one, I've come to realize he is a very pleasant individual with real human feelings and ideas and memories worth sharing. I like him now and I've forgiven my ex - told her we all make mistakes and I'll forgive her if she would forgive me. Nice ending to what turned out to be a learning experience and great lesson in life. Remarried a Winnipeg girl and she has been the real deal for the last 44 years.
I was a huge Frampton fan after the live album hit. I even bought a Les Paul Custom like his. Love his music, but don't forget to give him cred for being a top-shelf guitar player.
Peter seems so honest and humble even though he's such a legend! He's got a history that other legends could be jealous of. Thanks for sharing the story of Peter Frampton's life with us!
What a class act. I hope you have him on your show many times over. Funny, interesting and humble.
16 in 1976, 1st job, 1st paycheck, 1st album I bought, Frampton comes alive, it was played on radio constantly that year.
What an awesome interview. Pete comes off as completely genuine and fun to listen to. Thanks Adam.
Adam, I am 29 years old, and my late father brought home our first DVD player when I was 10. On it, was Frampton’s “Show Me the Way” from Live In Detroit, and I fell in love with his music. Over the years, I have seen him live 14 times in person, and I’ll be flying to the UK this November to see him for the 15th time! “Show Me the Way” has always been my favorite song ever, and nothing can top it for me! Thank you for this channel, I was born in the wrong generation when it comes to music!
Peter, I personally thank for the special gift you gave me ".Frampton Comes Alive" (personally signed to me) LP set from your personal collection. It is even labeled "not available for sale to the public" It is only one of about 20 made. My life long friend Bobby Rossi, whom runs Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater made it happen. I have it proudly framed in museum glass sitting right next to me. Thank you, it will go to my children. Tom:)
Amazing feat indeed ! Frampton the 70s rock legend !
He's pretty amazing... and quick...
Definitely.
How I love these stories. I regale my boyfriend with all this historical rock. When a song comes up as we're driving. I love that I got to meet Peter some time in the early 90s. He walked into a coffee roasting business that I managed and we stood together watching the beans go round and round. He was and still is adorable. I'm so grateful that I have these stories in my own life. Especially after working in the music biz in the 80s. just before the biz started to become dull and they were doing anything for a money grab. I miss those days so much.
I can't stop loving this guy. He's the gentleman of classic rock. Can't find a nicer guy
Out of all the albums released in 76, Frampton Comes Alive s the one that was being played at every party I went to! Every friends house, my house! I was a kid of just 13 at the time. But having a sister 10 years older and a brother 5 years older I had many influences. Not to mention my twin sister in the bedroom next door playing KC & The Sunshine Band, Leo Sayer.... I am so thankful for all these influences. Being a drummer who started playing around this time all of this music made me a better drummer. Man remembering the clips, photos of Frampton and his band I would see back then, I lusted after a big deep shelled set of Ludwigs! If I could just go back for a day! Thank you so much Professor. Keep the memories coming!
Frampton Comes Alive was a really inspiring album which actually inspired me to learn guitar . I still play ( weekend warrior cover bands ) and still cover Show Me The Way and I use a Talkbox as well ! A gem of a tune and Peter Frampton is superstar amongst superstars ( and a monster guitar player ) Great show Professor!
Adam, your interviews never disappoint!
Met this great guy in FT. PIERCE FL. I could not believe it so much , I could not speak. Just one happy , full of energy person .
❤ from Cincinnati. Peter Frampton makes incredible music seem easy, and Adam makes memorable interviews seem effortless.
Professor, you bring out the memories! Senior year of high school, class of '76. We started the school year with Kiss Alive, and ended the school year with Frampton Comes Alive. Hell of a year!
Both great albums and movements!
What a time! When I was making a video for the teacher of the year back in May I came up with a phrase, “Like Frampton, you have really made me come alive.” I was trying to honor the legends that made popular music the year she was born, 1976. The Kiss album is great too!
Class of '77 here.
A year away from Van Halen..
Hotel
Aja
You know......
Nice to see Peter is a down to earth guy. I love the weirdness of the talk box, Joe Walsh and Peter both do a great job and do not over do it. The steel pedal guitar was used in many songs in the 70s by Procol Harum, Humble Pie, Daltry and many I cannot think of right now.
I love Peters albums from the 80's. Songs like Lying and More Ways than One are phenomenal yet underated classics. Such a talented and classy artist.
His 80s stuff is just as good as his 70s stuff.
Peter`s 1986 Premonition album is a great album! I bought the cassette when it came out. Every song is great on this one. All killer, with no filler. 81's Breaking all the rules album with going to L.A. is another one.
I heard Peter Frampton do Frampton live in 1976 in Montreal. They were the warm up band for Santana, man they blew the stadium away with that talk box. Great show.
Gosh Peter was so much of the 70's rock era I can't imagine my life without his music. It was in touch with that generation ☺️. His music was ride around town windows down blaring sing a long feel good time experience.
I was roadying for a garage band and sometimes sitting in as a harmonica player when I first heard the song and I can still recall my reaction, "What the hell is that?" I later picked up playing bass and it was the first song that I learned. Yea, it's one of those songs that has a lot of good memories from my youth.
I Enjoyed your interview with Peter ..... I Loved Show me the way.. and soon after he was a guest star on Robert Conrad's series Baa Baa Black Sheep ! Just Recently they used Big Mountain's Raggae version of Baby I Love your way on the 2 Jumanji Movies.. (Into the Jungle and the Next Level) For Ruby Roundhouses dance fighting sequences !!
I forgot that, he was an island watcher!
I love Peter. Such a regular guy with an awesome talent. I wish him all the best. Thank you for your interview with him.
Picture yourselves on a 20 foot royal blue pontoon boat with white stars and red stripes. Music speakers from front to back. On Torch Lake 19 miles long and going out for dinner almost to the other end, beautiful sunny evening , calm waters and you have the new Frampton Comes Alive playing. I was all the way in the front stretched out laying down listening while being gently spritzed with water now and then coming off the pontoons. All these years still a magical moment in my life. The greatest live album in my opinion.
I remember when Frampton Comes Alive came out. HS & it was everywhere.
Thank you Professor for another great interview. Another song I thought about using the talk box was "Best of Times " by Styx. Keep up the good work sir. Cheers from Ottawa.
I LOVE this episode!! I saw Frampton at the Inglewood Forum in the late 70s and his was the first concert I attended. I was blown away to say the least! He is one of my all time favorite singers/performers and listen to his albums ALL the time and kept my vinyl records of his too. I really enjoyed this interview and LOVE your channel. Thank you so much for bringing us such great content!
I remember hearing Frampton Comes Alive when in came out in 1976. I was eight and heard when it was played by the older siblings of my friend. I was hooked.
What a genuine nice man he is! So interesting, humble, and talented!
This guy is a great interviewer. He allows the guest to talk uninterrupted. Frampton Comes Alive was one of my favorite albums when it came out, and still is.
Peter always comes across as the nicest person you could possibly hope to meet.
Damn, I’m 59 years old and your show is second to none for showcasing the music of my youth. Thank you 🤙
Peter is amazingly pleasant and real for being so legend. Very enjoyable interview.
Brilliant. I remember hearing this on American Top 40, driving up to Springfield, Mo, and went straight to Tower Records in the Plaza, bought the album & 8 track. By the time I got home I was emotionally sky high. 🙏🏼
Was a teenager when rocky mountain way ,framtom comes alive was huge you couldn't go anywhere without hearing something off that album there was a band called Clearwater that had a song called mind ender that also used that box great song but never really got super popular and never heard much about them after that song Framton has always been a great guitarist as far back as his humble pie days to bad Steve Marriot passed before they could team back up again I have heard they were playing around with the idea right before his passing great interview thanx
Mr. Peter Frampton -- Ahh the memories, saw him in Atlanta GA. and that very night he was said to have been sick and with a high fever but never would have known unless not reported on the news, it was a GREAT show and was flawless, simply flawless!!
Humble wonderful man!
I have a talkbox and used it a lot in the early 2000s, so "Man in the Box" and other stuff came to the set list. Having your guitar's distortion blasting your fillings is an experience for sure.
@SteverRob. I used to follow an Eagles tribute band here in the U.K., and they would include Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way". The lead guitarist tried a talk box but had to change to a pedal that simulated the effect. Apparently he had cranked up the talk box way too high, and it was loosening his dental fillings and crowns! Stay safe and well.
Good morning Adam! I love Peter Frampton, and Show me the Way. He plays everything so beautifully! Thanks for another great behind the scenes look! 💜
Always Mimi.. Always!
@@ProfessorofRock it’s well worth being a Patreon member to keep the coolness going! 💖
He’s a great musician.
What a delightful man. Frampton Comes Alive is indeed one of the best Live albums ever recorded and one of my all-time favorites. George Benson's Weekend in L.A. also ranks up there, but of course is a different genre of music. It'd be cool if you could get an interview with him.
Peter is so down to earth. He seems like someone who would sit down with a street musician to play. But idk. Hope he would
I believe you're right. He definitely would.
He sounds like he’d be fun to talk to.
He’s exactly that kind of person. My wife (long before I met her) was working at a beach bar in Fort Lauderdale in the early 90s. Peter was scheduled to play at a club on the strip one evening but earlier in the day, she saw him out on the beach jamming with a local who always set up to play for tips. I can’t tell you how envious I am of her for that moment. His hair was already short by then, he had a scruffy beard, and very few people recognized him.
Almost exactly what I was thinking!! Three cords and the truth!
I think this is the second Frampton interview I’ve seen, the other was on Rick Beato’s channel. Both were really fun to watch, Pete is such an interesting and entertaining character.
OMG... Adore Pete. Has always been a genuine good person and your interviews confirm.... Peter Frampton is a treasure
Another amazing interview, thanks Adam. Grateful you share your access to the greats with us.
Great episode with Peter Frampton. Thanks. The live album was never off my car stereo when it came out. I just love the way all the musicians jammed together back in those days. Peter seemed to know them all pretty well. Great channel....
ALL your interviews are top shelf but this is my absolute fav. Many Thanks to Peter for this.
Another awsome interview, Professor! I just love Revelations, it's my favorite. I found your channel fairly recently and I just can't get enough. Making my way through all of your videos (I only have two more years to go through) then I'll have to join the Patreon for even more content! Thanks so much for keeping the music alive!
Thanks so much for watching. We appreciate it.
Revelations is my favorite too!
I took my then teenage son to see Peter live in concert in the early 2000's. Peter was awesome. My son was entranced with his guitar work and was a hooked Frampton fan after that. I had to buy his cd, "Fingerprints" at the time an all musical album with no lyrics. I listen to while out riding my motorcycle some great relaxing road tunes, like Black Hole Sun and others. Great interview. He always comes across as a kind soul.
Peter is a great guy and one of my main guitar inspirations. Peter showed me the way.
He showed so many people the way.
When I was a teen I looked just like Frampton…. The bad news is, I still do LOL! Bald dudes rule and so does Frampton. When he talks about being in Ah of other people as he did in this interview I just shake my head. He had massive influence over my age group (born 63). While the other artists he mentioned were big in the lives of my group of humans, Frampton was our #1 sound. There were others, Boston, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Kenny Loggins, and others, but Petter Frampton was always the level to where my musician friends and I would aspire to reach.
Thanks for having Peter Frampton on your show!
in 1976, you got that Frampton Comes Alive album sent too your mailbox or front door like they send you junk mail, even if you did not order it, you are getting it, like it or not. lol.
I thought it came with boxes of Tide.
Well Adam, you just nail it with this interview. For me, Peter Frampton was my first rock concert, here in Caracas, Venezuela, in october 1980. I was 20 years old, but I've been listening PF's Frampton Comes Alive since 1977, my last highschool year. That live record completely blows my mind at that time.
What a memories. Thank you for that, Adam...
I love Framptons music..now some of the behind the music and I even like him more thanks P of R....wish you the best dd
What a lovely man. Thanks for the memories!!
When you say guitar hero that would be Peter Frampton! Frampton comes Alive maybe the best live album ever! That album burst on the scene and was immediately a must have. We use to cruise around playing this whole album. What a fantastic deep dive interview with so much information. Pete is a great guy and tremendous innovator. Loved this episode professor
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
It’s the best live album ever made, in my opinion.
@@xxlilly_playsxxkiz9980 it is amazing how good the sound quality is for a live album and you can feel the energy. I agree with you
@@MyName-pl7zn You definitely can feel the energy! He is so much better live!
Peter Frampton was the headliner at the first concert I went to in July 1977. My brother had Frampton Comes Alive and we'd played it everyday since summer of '76. lineup was Santana, The Outlaws, Lynard Skynard and Frampton. What a fine day that was. : )
man what a guy☝🏻great interview👌🏼i absolutely love humble pie ,they were still awesome after peter left but they were never quite the same he was that influential🤙🏻
I met Peter Frampton in Nashville while pumping gas. I looked at the doorway and he walks out of the gas station. I was having a miserable day, that just turned into one of my most memorable moments of my life. What a very gracious and humble man that took the time to talk with me. I asked for autograph, it’s the worst you’ve ever seen. LoL. It looks nothing like his name, just scribble. I wished it was clearly written so I could display it. Note to anyone wanting to be a rock star, make your autograph clear, the autograph may mean more to the recipient than you’ll ever know
He has been diagnosed with a muscular disorder. He just finished his farewell tour. I live in Tenn and he lives in Nashville now. It’s not so much that he didn’t try to make his signature clear, he probably couldn’t help it.
@@davidmitchell1239 it was about 6 years ago. Before he announced his muscular issue. If you can play guitar, you can write your name.
I bought the album ‘Frampton Comes Alive’ with my very first wage. It was the sound of Summer ‘76.
We always love those records we bought with our own money.
Awesome! There are two people at my school born in June of 1976 when this was popular. I have told them both about this great album.
Wow that was really great. Seems like a really good person too. !
Frampton came to our fair over 10 years ago and he was awesome. In fact, my wife had never even heard of him and she said that it was the best concert she had ever been to. Years later he came back in a different venue and he opened for Steve Miller band and I loved it. After Frampton was done and Miller opened his show, he brought Peter out and they did an awesome jam session for about 30 - 45 minutes.
Now that would be a sight to see. Both great players!
Frampton and Miller are two of the greatest 70s legends! What a cool memory.
Boy ,that's awfully generous and kind of him to say Dinosaur, Jr's cover was "great". VERY generous. Maybe too generous.
Yeah I’m a Dino jr fan, the guitar work is great, but I gotta side with you on this one.
Awesome episode Professor! Peter Frampton has always been one of the greatest and one of my all time favorites! Great interview! Awesome to hear his stories behind the songs! Thanks for keeping the music alive Professor! And yes, "Frampton comes Alive", is my favorite live album ever!
WOW, what a down to earth guy! Great interview with a class act!
Cool to hear him talk about his work with George Harrison. He was also good buddies with David Bowie--I believe Peter's dad was Bowie's schoolteacher at one point, and he played on the Glass Spider tour in '87. Show Me the Way is one of the greatest songs of the '70s and was the only song on FCA recorded at the Long Island Arena in Commack, NY (about 5 miles from where I live). Maybe the Yacht Rock connection is due to the fact that the song was written in the Bahamas and has love and water as a theme? I could see Baby I Love Your Way is slightly more yacht-rocky. Thanks and have a great day.
Anyone I've ever encountered who talks about George says he's was the greatest human ever. Thanks for sharing.
Frampton Comes Alive was one of the three albums I first bought with my own money (Led Zepplin IV and Hotel California were the other two). Fantastic album and the more I see of Peter the more I like him. What an incredible person!
Great albums! Can’t go wrong with Zeppelin.
That guy seems like a really cool, down to earth guy. Great interview as always.
Gosh, I think I still have this Live album in vinyl - need to get out the collection and listen to them all again! Did get to see Peter in concert in ... oh man, age is catching up with me; early 80s maybe? Cannot remember if it was in El Paso or in Tucson. But it was a great show.
Got to shake hands with Peter at a NAM Show in Chicago. I was talking with John "The Ox" bassist & French horn from the Who, as Peter approached us. Lots of smiles & hand shakes were exchanged.
I remember Heil made a talk box at this time.
Peter Frampton seems like a great storyteller. I really enjoyed the stories he told of working with George Harrison and writing the songs for the live album. Really entertaining stuff.
Great interview! I love the talk box. Frampton’s book is a really great Summer vacation read.
He seems like such a nice, grounded guy. Very cool interview.
Frampton is such a great guy. He's always careful to mention all of the great people he's played with, not as name dropping, but to show his respect for them. And I really like his 3 big hits. Legend!
Great interview. Peter is the non-rock personality. When you look at what he did and who he played with - man!!
Close association story to Peter Frampton. In college I played on the college team with a guy that was the splitting image of Frampton. But here's the hook, he was the younger brother of the keyboard player in Lover Boy, Ken Johnson. (The lead guitarist Paul Dean used to play at our junior high at lunch because his older brother was our math teacher).
Thanks, Adam, for your in-depth research into the classics. Your presentations give the basics for conversations among friends involving songs when they are played in group settings.
Thanks Frank!
Such a fabulous interview. Thanks
What a great guy. I have his live LP. It's the sound of my youth.💗
Great interview, Professor!!!! …. As always. What a classic sound and a classy guy!
