I think this is what puts me off showing, sometimes the judges seem to have decided whose their winner before giving everyone a chance! I actually think that's the best I've seen her go as well, she definitely deserved to be up the placings! You're a trooper for cracking on in all that rain and mud. Well done. Xx
yer i always go in with my own goals and knowing what i want from her as you can ever trust the judging. She did go beautifully all week but she just wasn’t what the judges likes :( Thank you so much though
Strongly recommend a bulldog hitch lock for keeping your trailer and car together! 👏 Always take mine with me for weekend competitions as fear I might get stolen in my sleep 🤣🤣
Blimey that was some Biblical rain!!! And the noise in the indoor arena was mayhem!!! At least you enjoyed yourself and got a rosette or two! (or was it three...?) 💖💖
Would love to have a quality heavy weight cob. One with a good gallop. Cobs aren't a thing in Australia. Edited to add it was weird to hear John Farnham during the evening concourse class. He's Australian.
Lovely to see Equifest back and running, It was very muddy and not very nice weather but from what I see it looks good. congrats on the places you got , Keep up the amazing work so close to 1.2k subs
It was very muddy but actually i really liked it. sing at this venue. In the 7 years iv been doing stay away shows this is the first time iv experienced rain at one like this so i’m pretty lucky
We had a great camp this year and im gonna need to get me one of those gazebos with the sides on it now hahah. Equifest evening performances are like nothing else haha the best
Great video. Was sad to see just how chunky some of those cobs were. I know its difficult to keep the weight off some horses but I feel its almost accepted at shows.
It was a blast!! But I was a bit dumb with underpacking the warm clothes. And with the freezing nights in the tents were not it!! However I absolutely loved competing. It was my first ever show with a score of 62.3% for my dressage with my green welsh c!! So proud of him. We did a 50cm clear round, in hand, and a novice ridden class 15 yrs + 🥰🥰 despite the rain, it was an experience to remember.
OH NO !!! yes if camping I can not recommend the double duvet, Sleep on one and under the other and I promise you will be toasty warm ha. wow sounds like you had a great show
Loved this, it was lovely to get the chance to say hello to you on the Thursday when you was waiting to do the veteran horse ridden class, you both looked amazing, and I found myself on your video in the ring next to yours ( inhand veteran as you trot out oneway I'm on the otherside of the fence trotting the opposite way) although I didn't realise at the time 😂, glad you enjoyed yourselves despite the weather and came home with some great memories and rosettes xx
Some judges don’t like hogged manes in anything other than the cob class. Plus the saddle needs to be held back more so your horses shoulder is shown off more.
I know they dont but unfortunately because of Dublins allergies she has to be hogged (she has hypoallergenic skin) in veterans its perfectly accepted as they dont need to be turned out to type so its something i have to just accept may go against us in the other classes.

yes i saw a few of these locks ! if anything it’s just a deterrent to make them leave my trailer alone
Looks like a blast
It was sooo wet but we did really well at managing to avoid the worst of it to be honest Thank you
What a fun week despite the mud and rain! Congratulations on your award and awesome placings!
Love the camp setup!
Thank you
yes we still loved it even with the weather so i’m really pleased we went

It was getting spoken about a lot more so change is on the way but he’s still a few that seem to struggle with weight
Your outfit was the best!
Thank you :) I still love it even after 4 years

Hope you had a good show
i love spotting my self on peoples videos hahaha
Far too much weight on alot of those cobs. Why do they insist on them looking like fat cattle!
I know 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
