Hi could you give me some advice to run this m41 on salt water. Any issues? I wanted to try in salt water but before that I need to know what precautions and preventive maintenance that I should consider. Thanks
First, always use a waterproof tape to seal the cover, second and the main thing, after you play you have to clean the tubes with fresh water to remove the salt. Use the water cycle hole in the side of the boat to clean the tubes.

Does the top half not water seal? Is that why you use tape?
Its sealed but its always better to use a tape because sometimes when the boat flips you see the cover flying away

Dubai RC Adventures what kind of tape should you use? Don't want to leave any residue on boat or take paint off. Just bought this boat can't wait to rip it.
Jeff Lillie hocky tape. That's what everyone calls hatch tape. It's clear-ish, stretchy like electrical tape, and the adhesive forms a good water-tight seal, while coming off cleanly.

any boat can run on salt water, however, more maintenance is required

Proboat is way better than traxxas when it comes to boat design,, i have the four boats and for sure MG still my best,,, for traxxas the M41 is better,, i had lot of problems with the spartan i hate that boat,, but the M41 i love it,,,

Yes it is, she'll go 50 MPH right out of the box with the included batteries, you can get speeds of 70-80 with 6S batteries.

Miss geico will waste the m41 in speed, power, durability, and quality fit, finish and trim and day

Ridiculous that you still have to add tape on an RC boat to get it watertight, lol. Even that isnt a guarantee against getting water inside ruining electronics.....I bought one in 2013 and was hoping producers had got rid of that silly problem by now. Apparently no. No more RC boats for me.
