What will happen to NAIA when these Airports are complete? Naturally it will become obsolete, but will it still serve a purpose? I doubt it will just serve as a cargo airport, perhaps NAIA terminal 3 could remain as use for a convention center, whilst the rest of the airport land is completely rehabilitated for potential use as prime land for new high rise apartments. You can finally begin to get out of the whole barangay slum housing trap by building new apartments for the people currently living there. Transform the city indeed.

These projects have been cancelled. Manila will rely on Clark and Ninoy Aquino. The problem regarding Ninoy Aquino was never its size, but the lack of operational expertise and excellence at Philippine Airlines who kept operating as if the airport had slots to spare. Just before COVID19, Philippine Airlines was dwarfed by Cebu Pacific. They kept distracting themselves with ultra-llong haul flights to North America, which was pointless if they didn't establish hub banks to tap on the surrounding ASEAN region.
And now it's already awarded project to a consortium of It is composed of the Virata-led Cavitex Holdings; Yuchengo-led House of Investments, Inc.; MacroAsia Corp., an aviation support services provider controlled by the family of billionaire Lucio C. Tan; Samsung C&T Corp., a South Korean construction and engineering company; Munich Airport International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH; and Arup, a UK-based design company.
Great to build new airports but the best facilities in the world will still not work efficiently and effectively if the operations are run by idiots who have no idea of customer experience. Many of the problems that currently exist are not based on infrastructure being outdated, it’s due to terrible operations management. I hope when they build new airports they “borrow” the play book of Chiangi airport. It’s proven successful year after year - the Philippines doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel, just copy a proven standard that works.
That's what Manila is doing! NAIA is too small to expand. With terminals that aren't even directly connected to each other. Sure, you could supposedly buy the necessary land to build a 3rd runway (which will be parallel to the bigger one), but it's still not enough, especially if the terminals are still not seamlessly integrated with each other. By decommissioning NAIA. the land could be reused for much needed urban renewal.

Langaw nalang ang dadapo sa NAIA😅
May...DOMESTIC AIRPORT PO DITO PUNTA TACLOBAN...?? WATCHING FROM...U.S.A.
Thanks for watching..
Unlike naia return back to Manila international airport
Thanks for watching..
Sana may a380 ang philippines airlines at Cebu Pacific para five star ang rating ni skytrax 😊😊😊😊 I miss a380 so much 😭
Great to build new airports but the best facilities in the world will still not work efficiently and effectively if the operations are run by idiots who have no idea of customer experience.
Ik 3 airports are oprational sangley.new manila.clark the naia converted into smart city that is 600 hectars much better.
Dilawan be like: "MAKAKAIN BA YAN?"
This is just a proposal. I don’t think so. SIN will always be Southeast Asian’s hub. MNL can’t even beat BKK or KUL even if they make this proposal. No near SIN’s Changi
This proposals are now realized, Sangley Airport phase is now partially operational while the New Manila Airport is currently constructed. Let see 2 to 3 years after..
whats wrong with you bro? we're not in competition for you to say that. we dont care if we can't beat those country because i believe that our country is unique and have its own beauty! LMAO
Crab Mentality huh..Let the Philippines rise from worlds economic challenge. We left behind due to some greedy government and private individuals. This development will uplift the lives of less fortunate Filipinos. God Bless to you and to your country,
Maybe he is late update.
Philippines surpassed GDP of Singapore and Malaysia...
Philippines growth 2times faster among South East Asian countries.

Ano magkaiba and Sangley and Manila?
Ang sangley is located in Cavite while ang new manila int. airport located in bulacan kaya also known din sya as bulacan int. airport
Galing naman ni dugong
Kaya sana si bong bong marcos maging president sa 2022
Tell me if this Sangley Airport is true?
Sangley Airport phase 1 is now partially operational, but it takes time to finish the phase II to make it fully operational as International Airport. You can google it, if you are in doubt..
Ah ok. Thanks for the reply.
Is this true or just a press release?
These are proposed master plan, the New manila International Airport is already approved for construction, while Sangley is already operational as domestic and cargo airport but the proposed plan has several changes..
@@aseananalytics this -is
These - are
I think New Manila International Airport is enough to fulfill the duties of NAIA
Not really, if ever mabuo yang mga airport na yan tataas ang number ng tourist both domestic and international. And mag mumura pasahe dahil less air traffic na ung mga airport na mag touchdown sa pinas.
All pipe dream now. When will this happen? 2030?
This 2 mega airport cost 15billion dollars each will finished constructiin by 2024-2025
Hahahahahahaha HELLO YELLOW MINION! nagkapirmahan na po. Tuloy na tuloy na this year. ;)
NAIA should be renamed MDA or Manila Domestic Airport and the SMC built be PIA or Philippine International Airport.
Are they still building this airport to accommodate 130million passengers even with the pandemic?
yes, the pandemic will certainly end when vaccine will be available,
ASEAN Analytics I hope they dont allocate budget for this airport to fight the pandemic 😷
@@spjensen we cannot focus on pandemic only , we have many problem and one of this is the airport
It's going to be carried out solely by multinational San Miguel Beer Corp... The whole 20B USD or so is covered by SMB... Affected communities are all taken cared of and guaranteed a job at the NMIA by the company (they have a broad program for the people who will be displaced)... On top of this, SMB also donated 14B Pesos to the Phil Government for the fight againts COVID 19 and also kept their workforce, not a single layoff... Mr Ramon Ang, SMBs Chairman, has always kept a low profile but is always at the forefront of public service, all this despite suffering the lost of his son recently... Thank you for your concern, had it been the Government we will certainly feel the same way... Sangley on the otherhand we think is still on the drawing board, not much is said about this project...
Michael Marcon is this airport larger than DaXing in China? I might have read someone in the comment thread said its bigger than DaXing
Bakit karamihan sa malalaking proyekto maspinili nilang itatayo malapit sa dagat, hindi ba dilikado iyon 'pag may tsunami?
