I definitely like the shape of these much better than what typically comes out of a dual form. much more elegant and modern. the dual forms I've seen on your channel and a few others tend to be the non-pinched, wide square type nail. if you want a more "in" shape, you have to file them so much to get there.

@@NailCareerEducation thanks for the advice. I am thinking I should just try teaching myself. Very frustrating to leave the salon with such disappointment at such a high price.
I'm so happy to see this video. I have worn full cover press on nails for years, but wanted something that would last longer. I just got my first polygel kit. I am frustrated because the forms don't fit my small nails right and I end up haven't to do a lot of buffing and shaping after and they don't look good. I was hoping my press on nails would work as a form and I did try that on my own and it worked so much better for me, but I didn't know if it wad "OK" to do that. Thanks for the validation!😊
I tried doing this a couple of weeks ago and I thought that I could just pop off the nail extension but it wouldn't work. Thank you for making this video now I know that all I need is a sharp tool to pop it off! This is the easiest way in the world to shape nails
Absolutely lovely job! 😄 I've had difficulty with dual forms and using the tip seems like you have a bit more control with the product and end result sizing. I also didn't know that touching your skin too much with the gel could cause allergies. Thanks for the awesome information and tips, I can't wait to give it a try! 🤩

Quick question! If you were wanting to keep the full coverage tips on, is the best thing to adhere it to the nail the hybrid gel? You just showed how it can pop off of the hybrid gel. Would a hard gel also allow the full coverage tip to pop off?
A hard gel is a GREAT product to use to keep the nail tip on for the duration if the set! Be sure to prep your nails as you normally would.for gel application and scuff up the part of the nail form that will go over your nail bed. :)
I use a builder gel to do basically gel x nails which is what ur describing. So much easier to do on ur self cus little to no filing involved. My tips for this method is to file the nail tip tower that touches ur nail and the top when u apply polish. It will last longer and adhere better.

Could I use EZ Gel to encapsulate on top of a full cover tip to make a press on? Thank you!

Suzie! Well it took a two years, but I finally did it. I'm a bad nail biter... BAD! I went to my sister's nail tech and told her what you did for Grant, showed her the videos and asked if she could do the same. She did, kind of... She used nail tips, which she glued onto my nubs, and then used clear powder for the nail itself. I think it was 4 or 5 layers. I was adamant that I wanted them to look like my nails, not fake. At first I wasn't sure. She said to trust her... She was working on them and they were really white, not looking real at all. But when she hit them with the activator(?) they just popped! I was more than pleased, and, I like them more than Grant's! They look like my natural nails! Only issue was at first she used a gloss topcoat, which made them way to shiny, so then we switched to a matte one, which really made them awesome. And yup, tried to bite one already, and my teeth have more of a chance of coming loose than me biting one of these off. Thank you so much for the videos of you working on Grant to give me the idea to do this. All the best to you AND him!
Hi ... im new to the channel and I'll apologize in advance if you answered this before, but the video is a year old and scrolling thru the comments was a pita lol. In the first method with the excess: What are you using to clean up the nail? I also saw you use it in the 2nd method to mold the putty ... you dipped the brush in something and sculpted the nail in the form, can you tell me what that is? Thanks in advance :)
I kept thinking to myself, other then the tabs, how are popits any different then full covers? Thanks for reading my mind and answering with such a clear demonstration. They look beautiful, and it was so quick, just what I needed to know.
I absolutely love you and your videos. They have helped me so much. Just an at home nail hobbyist but learn so much from you. THANK YOU from a dedicated Central, PA. 🇺🇸 fan 💅🥰
Oh my gosh, where did this concept come from? This is amazing. Came a long way since doing Volpe Nails 30 years ago. Does this work with regular acrylics? I would think you’d have to put an oil or something on it so it would slide off? And it looks just like the shape of the tip so really minimal filing? Thank you for your videos, I learn so much since Beauty school in 1993! 💕🙏✂️
@ I can’t believe my eyes! Btw a friend of mine who owns her own nail salon loves you and said that you are very good! I’ll 2nd that! But where do you find time in between clients? I miss it so much and was offered a good opportunity in a new Salon in this area (Scranton, Pa. ). I’m so nervous I hate interviewing and doing a set in front of the Salon owners!
Thank you so so much I'm do excited I've been trying to get these right line year and a half! I'm so excited I haven't even tried it yet but I just know this method will be the one! Ty U SOOO MUCH!!
I'm a complete newbie to fake nails. Have had them done professionally for a while long ago but after I found you I decided to venture into doing my own nails. Doing my nails is soothing, entertaining, relaxing, a way to express myself, etc, however I have very short (years of nail biting), flat and wide nails. As you can imagine...they're not the best canvas for nail art. So you inspired me and gave me the confidence to go ahead and do my own set of custom acrylic nails to fit my unfortunate profile. Downside is that with all the practice I get, I still end up spending over 5 hours when doing one hand (talk about nit picky) and I find that most of that is in filling. Not because I put a lot of product but because I want the perfect shape and I never get the form right enough so I need to adjust in "post production". I tried the forms so I can skip all that but ofc, my nails are such a nightmare they don't work that easily. I either put too much product and it spills all over my cuticles or too little and it cracks up and leave a million crevasses underneath the form. I found that more is safer than less but then again, using acrylic I need to hold it in place or else it moves and leaves air beneath it, which means no time for cleanup between application and when it cures. Once cures, cleanup at the cuticle is painful and close to impossible. Another issue I have is that I love using nail polish (holo taco to be specific - turns out I love supporting Canadian youtubers
Hi sweetie. Firstly when removing HoloTaco nail polish use a NON ACETONE polish remover. If it has acetone in it it can damage the Gelly/plastic tip. I have not tried this technique with acrylic but I suspect it would work. Check my YT I troubleshoot these products quite often. I do some art videos too - keep watching my YT for future designs 💛
I like you. Thanks for this very important info. I was seriously wondering what to do because when I was packing to move I misplaced the duo forms for My gel nail kit and well anyway your video was exact what I needed to know. Thank you.
Now this looks like something I’m excited to try. I was excited to try on tips when I saw you use an acrylic bead as glue but tips just don’t stay on for me. I’m curious if you could do a french fade with this method, that would be sooooo life changing.
Amazing! So should we add more product near the top where the apex should be? When I did mine, the nail became completely straight and was painful when pressure was applied to the bottom half!
If you’re a tip that you’re applying became perfectly straight, then you were pressing down way too hard and you were changing the shape of the tip. Assuming that your tip does not have an arch built in already. And if it doesn’t, I would not purchase those tips.
Might have to try this as one of my nails came off. But I ran out of nail forms and I want to fix my nails by tomorrow as I'll be eating out and my nails look terrifying. I'm wondering if this will work with my hard gel. It's much softer than what you used but totally fine for sculpting nails, my other nails agree. I'm also wondering if undercuring it might help it release better. Like cure it for 30 secs then pop the nail, then cure for an additional 30 secs? I might have to try it.
First I'd just like to say that I really enjoy your videos. I tried this method but was not able to get the full cover nail tip off without damaging the gel beneath. Maybe I cured it too long? How long would you recommend curing, or what techniques might you suggest to avoid this issue? Thank you :)
Ugh I had that same question. There are a lot of people that this method hasn’t worked. I am wondering if you cure it for less time.. like flash cure, then maybe are able to take it off 🤷♀️
I just tried doing gel for the first time. I love it but I want them longer. I can’t find any videos on putting a gel extension on a gel extension. Do I just buff and start the extension like it’s a fresh nail? I would love to see a video on this. Thanks for all you do
Shut the front door!!’ I love this method. How clever. Have to try this. Thanks Suzie!!
Me too!!!

Do you put the cuticle oil on after curing to loosen the tip?
@@rj3892 you put the oil on the tip, then the gel and cure. The tip should come off easily once cured.

make sure the tip isn’t prebuffed if possible, and going in from the side helps a lot, goin in from the cuticle for some reason can make things harder

I absolutely love you and your videos. They have helped me so much. Just an at home nail hobbyist but learn so much from you. THANK YOU from a dedicated Central, PA. 🇺🇸 fan 💅🥰
I did mine last night my nails look so good put practice makes perfect so far i am impressed thx ☺️
I love that your polygel is in a container like that. The tubes are difficult to get product out of especially if you have hand issues.
I agree 💯 especially if you want to put some back - it’s easy but you can’t get it back in a tube
Nails have changed ALOT
@ I can’t believe my eyes! Btw a friend of mine who owns her own nail salon loves you and said that you are very good! I’ll 2nd that! But where do you find time in between clients? I miss it so much and was offered a good opportunity in a new Salon in this area (Scranton, Pa. ). I’m so nervous I hate interviewing and doing a set in front of the Salon owners!
I love this! I love your videos and I’m super happy you do what you do ✌️❤️
Omg, Susie this color of the hybrid gel is EVERYTHING😍I wish i could buy this😔
You can darlin! Nailcareer.com
It’s apart of my New EZ Gel Kit.
In just a few days you will be able to purchase these colours separately
Thank you so so much I'm do excited I've been trying to get these right line year and a half! I'm so excited I haven't even tried it yet but I just know this method will be the one! Ty U SOOO MUCH!!
I like the studio very beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@NailCareerEducation Always watching! Thank you!
hands down THE BEST camerman, that needed to be said :-)
So beautiful 😍 you make everything look so effortless
As you say that's beautiful I'm going to try it myself
Hi Suzie can I use the pop it forms with brush on builder gel? Thanks
Could you do a video like this with acrylic please!!!!
I wish my library offered these classes.
I can’t wait to watch this🥰 made my day Suzie, thank you!
I have been waiting for this! Ty
Love this video! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤❤❤
How do you keep your nail bed so healthy? Love you .
No way I just saw this video. I find this SO much easier than actual dual forms!
Hello Suzie thank you for this video . Would this work with acrylic as well?
