I think you nailed the reasoning at the end...humans like to explore environments, but we can't explore all of them, so we do it via others. But for me, hotels aren't just a place I fall into at the end of the day. Instead, it's typically part of a larger experience that I hope to be an overall positive one. When I stay at a nice hotel, it enhances my trip and increases my overall enjoyment of said trip. When it's trash, well, it's trash. But I think the reason I watch hotel videos is because the hotels themselves are unique in some way, otherwise the UA-camr wouldn't feature it at all. Sometimes it results in me staying in the same hotel. But sometimes, it's exploration of a space I'll never get to see. But like you said...humans want to explore.
Ive always seen hotel videos as a way for UA-camrs to take vacations while still making videos. In a way it's smart because they get to enjoy their work.
We're the ones that got picked by the almighty algorithm to enjoy this channel before everybody else will. We might even get the chance to interact with the content creator himself. For all we know, he might even pin a comment from a random commenter. This gem of a channel will get picked up soon enough, the quality is outstanding! I have been saying that for years we don't need money we should do things because it helps others and we like doin git it would remove all stress and ego and make this would a hell of a lot fairer but don't let the corporations hear that because they will shake in their boots thinking " oh no! not freedom! we can't let people actually have a equality and be treated as humanity not as a different faction, how else can we say were woke and make our money???? "
Yeah it’s tough, I think people will always be greedy to a certain extent but maybe at some point in the future there will be less incentives and higher punishments for greed.

Personally, the reason I watch your videos isn't really because I’m interested in the video’s subject, but rather what you have to say about the subject at hand. I think it will take a rather long time but eventually, you will gain more viewers like myself, and as a result, grow your UA-cam channel. I guess all of this is just a really long-winded way of saying keep doing what you are doing.

Thanks for your thoughts! I’ve also wonder if maybe the Famous UA-camr video attracted an audience that didn’t really align with my channel, since I think a lot of the people who watched are more looking for like a “how to succeed on YT” niche. But yeah it did get my channel monetized and for sure attracted at least some people who are genuinely interested in the type of content I make. And yeah for sure the goal is to build a fan base of people like yourself who are just interested in my overall perspective but YT is fickle, even big channels you’d assume would have a super consistent fan base can still struggle to get decent views and stay relevant. Anyway as you can see I think a lot about this stuff like I imagine most creators do. Thanks for being part of it 🫡
