Deep Cleaning A Neglected Interior - Full Interior Car Detailing

- Detailing a car interior can be exhausting and take a long time. Sometimes you need to detail your car fast due to time constraints. In this detail I skip taking out the car seats and do a quick interior detail and show you how it is done correctly with various detailing tools and products.
I focused on the carpets, leather seats, plastic interior, glass, plastic floor mats, and trunk mat. I have not cleaned this interior for 2 years. Some moisture build-up was happening under the plastic mats and the smell started to get really bad. Deep cleaning the carpets were definitely needed. Tuff Stuff cleaning foam, a drill brush, and a hot water extractor were used to clean the yellow carpets and a black mold spot. In the future I will be using a steamer to try to get a really deep clean. I used Meguiars's Leather Cleaner 3 in 1 and Meguiar's Vinyl Protectant to clean the plastic interior. I was pleased with the final results.

Nice video , my process actually goes the same way with using a drill brush first and also i have a steamer and a Bissell Spot Clean Pro. Good choice on buying a steamer you'll wonder why you didnt do it sooner. That steams breaks up just about everything. For carpets i would do the process as with the drill brush first, steam and then water extraction, should work well for you.

i feel like you need to get one of those car carpet vaccuming heads, instead of the groove tool you use. i just feel like its not geting everything up
honestly man, you could probably buy a gallon of simple green for the same price as that carpet cleaner and it’ll work better too. if you happen to have an air compressor, get a tornador and a normal air gun attachment and blow under the seats and between the center console, also if you let some apc sit in the cut holders for awhile that caked on shit will loosen up and you’ll be able to wipe with a microfiber
Air compressor and tornado are definitely on my list of detailing tools now that I got my steamer.
Good tip on the stuff caked in cup holders.
I will definitely try the simple green cleaner. The bottle of tuff stuff is going to run out soon and I’d like to try something different. I’m cleaning my Sequoia this week if the rain holds off and it’s a 7 seater
Spray 9 with a touch of tide is the best choice for smelly moldy carpet.

The only way to get some of those stains out is by dying the carpet. You should also clean in between the front seats where the center console is.
I did that two years ago when I pulled the seats out. I figured not much accumulated there

I was used tough stuff on the carpets and Meguiars leather product on seats and vinyl product on plastics.

What’s your volume setting at? What’s to low the speaking, music, or ambient noises (vacuum, scrubbing, etc)
Your carpet shampoo is shit must be annoying trying to get it out 😂
In my opinion remove the whole carpet, wash it with pressure washer let sun exposes it i think it will be more disinfected but, generally well done and bravo

I’m not making tons of money to spend on good music to buy the licenses yet. I see a few other detailing channels with no attribution to their music. They either bought that music, used good music that didn’t need attribution for free (which I have yet to find online), or if they illegally used they could potentially have their video taken down or muted. I try to stay on the side of caution and use the free stuff although it is pretty bad

None Ya I’m not really seeing what you’re seeing but what you’re seeing may be me getting in the seat or wiping the dash panel off AFTeR I vacuumed and then did not go back and vacuum again. I’m learning the techniques and all things detailing I’m no professional and I don’t think the video title or any of my commentary said that. Thanks for the comment tho
