Trance duo Alex Sonata & TheRio present their fourth official release on Anjunabeats, ‘Cala Luna / The Real Thing’.
Alex Sonata & TheRio will be familiar to dance fans through their output on Enhanced and Armada Music. The duo have been collaborating since 2018, garnering praise from the likes of Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate and Armin Van Buuren. After many collaborations, the Scottish/Italian pairing decided to make it official in 2020, and Alex Sonata & TheRio was born.
Following appearances at the official Group Therapy 450 warm-up and afterparties plus our Night Tales London residency, Alex Sonata & TheRio now have two new tracks to share. To celebrate this release, the duo will be streaming from Porto Flavia in Sardinia via the Anjunabeats UA-cam and Twitch channels on June 10.

your first mixing of the 1st and 2nd track was soooo ugly that I am compelled to write this to wake people up, and then move on to listen to something else of more quality.
Dj'ing is an art. Either your Art is beautiful, or it is ugly. The level of acceptance these days in DJ mixing just keeps getting lowere and lower. It really amazes me in disgust when DJ's claim the art of the Producer who made the track, underserving to the DJ (unless the DJ made the track LOL). It's not yours to claim, but what is YOURS... is how you blend two tracks together, or manipulate a track while it is playing. I do not give compliment to "track selection" DJ's. Only to those Dj''s who are smooth in their transitions where the sounds and energy are fitting and complimentary. Tough love guys. Tough love here. Raver/DJ since 1995, may my ears continue to guide me, and you yours. Step up your game! I wish you better mixing skills and slection, for those who are actually listening and have a deeper understanding of what a quality DJ is, and is not...
