Germain is known for his persistence. He is 87 years old and still he is determined to improve the quality of his loft. His latest reinforcements indicate that he only wants the very best pigeons in his team. As long as he is fit he will continue his hobby. Some time ago he retired as a farmer. The years of hard labour are over now but he still enjoys working in the fields with his tractor, along with spending time with his family and racing his pigeons. Back in the 60s Germain started out as a farmer with a field of about 17 acres. Throughout the years his land expended to more than 200 acres. His son has now taken over his properties and he uses the fields for his riding school.
The Old Red Naessens, L'Espoir, Le Fou and Rouge de Villegas were some of the champions that have made this loft very successful in the past century. These pigeons can still be found in the pedigrees of today's racing team.
