Now Part 2 of this series should be - who owns the trucks delivering coal to Eskom Power Stations. Then maybe we will get closer to the real reason why 1. The rail transportation never works and 2. The conveyer system is constantly vandalised. As always great story.

The army is controlled by same people vandalizing the infrastructure and over that the army costed us over 200million only for the few days of being steady during EFF lockdown. We gona lose even more money as tax payers

No wonder we are paying so much for electricity 😥

This is very insightful. I was very cloudy on how power cuts were occurring when there are big plants and plenty of coal.

The Provincial Governments should walk away from Eskom. It cannot supply on its economic mandate and it cannot be allowed to hold the provinces hostage to it's incompetence.

Ramaphosa said government has no obligation to supply electricity. Go look for his response affidavit to court

After a CEO who has complexion for protection leaves Eskom the Finance Minister says no need for Eskom to submit financial statements....

Such a catch 22. I hate the expoitation that goes along with the mining of minerals etc, but what happens to the jobs, trucking and mining.

So it cn be seen that there is a mafia that is purposely destroying the Rail line. If so, then a state of emergency must be declared on that line. Secondly all coal must be monitored and escorted.

    Renewables Cost-Benefit Analysis Stupidity.
A two-megawatt windmill is made up of 260 tons of steel that required 300 tons of iron ore and 170 tons of coking coal, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons. A windmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.
These are the intended and unintended consequences of ideologically driven stupidity.
And this doesn't count the cost and damage to the environment, like killing birds, the crazy noise levels and aerial visual pollution.

The whole continent of Africa is lying right in the middle of the eqter. Africa get so much sunlight that you could have natural gas and nearby solar energy since Eskom ues up tomuch waltz, They're been using 3point electric outlets instead of 2. So this in itself is very expensive.
