This reminds me when we saw a family of brown bears in yellowstone. I could watch bears all day, such majestic creatures, better then watching TV. Beautiful. I love owls. They are my favorite animals, besides Dolphins.
What a wonderful bear adventure! The next time we're in Ketchikan we'll have to book that excursion. I agree, Dee, that Alaska is astonishing and a place not to pass up. I too get teary-eyed with the grandeur of nature! Looking forward to visiting there again! Thanks for the fun day!
I would like to thankyou both for this wonderful series you have shared from Alaska , we visited Alaska in 2018 and loved it so much , this has bought back so many wonderful memories for us, you shared all the wonderful sights and ship interiors not that we were on yours but it was great to see inside anyway . Love your light hearted chatter and yes Dee ,Alaska does bring you to tears in all it’s grandeur ,the bears and whales we amazing you were so lucky to see them . A big wave from Australia
Omg how amazing , I loved watching the bears , and the babies were so cute ! And Jay your bear jokes were the best , my husband and I could “Bearly “ wait for the next one
Thanks for sharing your adventure in Ketchikan with us - you win with that “private tour” for braving the rain! I agree with Jay that “all cookies are good”.
Absolutely wonderful! And I agree, I think the rain made it all the more special. Kudos. Thought it would be hard to top the Alaska vids a few years ago. Kudos. Amazing.
Thank you!! The cubs are adorable. We were sailing Alaska about the same time you were, but we got NO bear sightings in Ketchikan. As much as we loved NCL Encore, we did NOT appreciate how far away from Ketchikan their "private" pier was. If/when we travel Alaska again, I think we will try a different line just for that reason.
It’s your fault!!! Now I’m booking a cruise to Alaska for next September!!! We live in Colorado and we thought..meh..we have mountains, and wildlife, etc…but watching the whales and the bears…..we’re all in now. SO..thanks a lot Jay and Dee! Lol
Thank you for that sail away final shot!!! I was missing it before. Yes, it is a place to go at least once. Hopefully I could cross it out of my list soon!
Mid-August and early September seem to be the better months for bears (we went in early-to-mid-September), and this was through Kawanti Adventures!! :D
We just luv your vlogs! We want to cruise to Alaska because of them We're wondering how dificult it is do try out your clothes between ports? Thank you
I love your videos and all the work you put into them. Please y'all don't jump on me.. Alaska would not be a cruise for me..the weather for one. Different strokes for different folks.
Just found your channel. This is the same route we are taking in May with Norwegian. My question is, do you tip your excursion guides? If yes, what is customary? Thanks for the videos. They are helping me plan out our trip. You two are so cute!
As always GREAT footage!!! What an awesome bear adventure! You were so lucky you got the "private" tour... can't wait to go back... you guys are the best! Did you use your Alaska TourSaver coupon book for any of these great tours?
Kawanti actually does have a coupon in the book for a buy one get one, but it’s not the bear-specific tour. It’s almost the same thing, but it’s just called a rainforest walk and you don’t get access to the bear boardwalk.
Wish I had known about that excursion. After the ship skipping Sitka, we still wanted to see bears and eagles. Only wildlife they could offer was some boat excursion. We did Saxman which was cool. but yours, with the totem carvers would have given us a little of both. Plus, we technically could have squeezed two excisions in. Will make a note of this one for next time, should the ship not offer it.

That was un-bearably amazing!! I was shocked that you saw so much wildlife out in the rainy day! You really inspire me to make the most of every day on a cruise, even if it's a rainy, rainy day! Thanks for taking us along!
We did the independent tour and ended up being the only ones on it, hah… but Kawanti does offer it through the ship, actually! It’s called something like “Bear Country Adventure” through the ship, but it’s the same folks.
There were SO many! I think those are the ones that were too weak to get up the river to their spawn zone, so they just swam until they expired, sadly!!
How is it yall always have hundreds of likes on your videos and then like 5 or 6 dislikes? I mean who can watch these videos and dislike them, I just don't get it.
I had to grin and bear it, listening to your jokes
Daddy Bear looks like Jay in the morning before coffee 🤣🤣🥰🥰
These morning videos are like my coffee 👍🏼
So many bears and the great part was seeing the moms catch fish to feed the babies.
This reminds me when we saw a family of brown bears in yellowstone. I could watch bears all day, such majestic creatures, better then watching TV. Beautiful. I love owls. They are my favorite animals, besides Dolphins.
Loved the time lapse!! So beautiful!!

I listen while I work...shhh dont tell...
I listen/watch on all my breaks at work and haven’t even been on a cruise before! Lol. I want to now!

BEST BEAR FOOTAGE! And - just DO ALASKA- freak the weather!!!!
What a perfect bear "hunting" trip! Those cubs were adorable in the tree. I definitely know what excursion I'm booking now.
That look when you say you wouldn't know a bear if you stumbled upon one had me burst out in laughter!
Beautifully done, you two! Jay - great job on the sail away time-lapse. Very cool and great underscore music selection.
Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I love to see the how happy wildlife makes Dee! Great video and so glad you braved the rain!! 🐻
🎶🎶 Come to Alaska! 🎶🎶
🎶🎶 It will make you cry! 🎶🎶
Loved this one. The bears were so precious! I think this was one of my favourite ones.🐻🧸🐻❄️
So much fun! I've done 2 Alaska cruises prepared for rain, and both times the entire voyages were beautiful. Thanks for sharing the bears with us.

Another fun day despite the rain. Love Ketchikan. Food looked delicious. Thanks for sharing.😎
I been loving all your videos this week
My goodness we are 8 days away from our Alaska cruise with NCL. I can hardly contain myself lol I’ve been packed for a week 😂. Great video. Thanks
VERY COOL!! Thank you!
Your jokes always have a lot of bearing to your videos, but this one more than most!
Thank you for that sail away final shot!!! I was missing it before. Yes, it is a place to go at least once. Hopefully I could cross it out of my list soon!
I so love the Miracle. Can't wait to experience the Legend in July and for Greenland.
What month did you go when you saw the bears and what is name of your company? Love watching!
Mid-August and early September seem to be the better months for bears (we went in early-to-mid-September), and this was through Kawanti Adventures!! :D
Thank you for the wonderful vlogs. I am booking an Alaska cruise for 2023!

THIS is the Alaskan cruise I want to do! Hopefully for our ten year anniversary next year! I’ll be reaching out to Dee for help 😊
Job well done amazing footage
Good video
Very nice!!!

Great footage, how did Dee's backpack handle the rain, did it keep your items dry, looking for a backpack for next year Alaska cruisetour
Awesome video

I noticed the Diamond International at the port, is Dee still collecting charms? Or does she have one from every port now? 😂😂
Heart of Sole; that's what the black bears had for lunch!

Hey was that sock of the day sockeye salmon? He he.
Love it! ❤️
Good morning!
Great seeing the bears. Was that another coupon excursion? Missed Pictures by Dee today.

@@parodeejay Thanks. I think I would want to see the bears.
Dee.. You always go to Diamonds International for a token for your bracelet. Did you not do in in Alaska?
We did on our 2019 Alaska cruise, so we figured it wasn't necessary this time around!! :P
Was that tour in the discount book

Never rained once!! July difference.
That bear tour was awesome ! How much did he charge?
Good morning was this tour from the ship or was it private. We would love to do this next year when we cruise to Alaska.
We did the independent tour and ended up being the only ones on it, hah… but Kawanti does offer it through the ship, actually! It’s called something like “Bear Country Adventure” through the ship, but it’s the same folks.
Independent tour so they booked it separate from Carnival
Wow. Super cool, tour to yourselves. 👍🏼
Thanks.
Yogi wants a pic-a-nic basket.
beary good
Dee, what kind of shoes do you have on with this heavy rain?
Missed photos by Dee!
Yeah it was to rainy to get good photos and not ruin my camera. So that didn't happen. The footage Jay got was much better anyway haha.
Bear fish buffet...did you see all those dead fish? I wonder why they were dead in the water?
There were SO many! I think those are the ones that were too weak to get up the river to their spawn zone, so they just swam until they expired, sadly!!
Were you the only 2 on that tour?
We were indeed!! :D
I won't touch Pepsi Zero. It has more caffine than Coke Zero!
Oh baby…lol
I think the chainsaw carvers could do a totem in less than an hour !
Coffee ☕️ please
Oh no...no Photos by Dee this time? I guess because of the rain?
She took some on her phone because her Canon isn’t waterproof, but wasn’t super happy with them. We’ll just have to go back again!! :P ~Jay
I say walrus towel animal🤷🏼♀️
Do you tip the guide…and if so, how much? Just want to be prepared.
Can you help me book a cruise to Alaska
How is it yall always have hundreds of likes on your videos and then like 5 or 6 dislikes? I mean who can watch these videos and dislike them, I just don't get it.
Loved watching the bears, could do without the annoying bear puns but i guess thats you Jay. Did you likr the entertainment?
All those puns were unBEARable!! :P We really enjoyed the entertainment overall, especially the naturalist and local singer they brought on.
Good morning!
