I was inextricably drawn to listen to this song when I learned that a friend of mine in college had died the previous day. I think it was the closest thing that described what I felt. There's a lot of resolve in this song.

Some people turn to other things when they're hurting or in troubled times, whereas myself, I turn to music. And generally, it's 90% of the time always Sigur Ros. I'm sorry for your loss.. Losing anyone in life is heartbreaking.

Recently I was feeling very overwhelmed and depressed, and I came across "Route One" parts 1, 2 & 3 that Sigur Ros recorded over 24hrs at the summer solstice ... it was even televised on National Icelandic television ... can you imagine!? I watched on UA-cam for several days & nights ... felt like I had left the planet; and when I returned, I was a renewed person. The music of Sigur Ros is nothing short of amazing!
