Great presentation. I was a long time Seekrieg 4 player and rivet counter in the late 80s and Early 90s. I bought this game when it came out in the mid 2000s but I have not played it on my own yet. I have played it on about six different occasions at conventions with the authors and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, a four hour window to play the game in at conventions is insufficient to get a game done to completion. It really needs to be played somewhere that you can come back to.
The complexity of this game seems to be verging on the level of making it more like a research base for someone making a video game since a computer could better make use of all this data and let people actually get on with making tactical and operational decisions. Its like a WW2 naval version of dice rolling CMANO.
And this type of system is where the granularity gets waaay too fine! I've enjoyed this kind of system in the past, but a very low cap on the quantity of units is required to get much of a definitive outcome after many hours play.
thanks for the enthusiasm
