Did you try these stretches? What did you think? How do you feel? Leave me a COMMENT below and let me know; and be sure to follow this up with some strengthening to your upper back and postural muscles at home! Here's the video to help you do it: ua-cam.com/video/N0hpxqIePaQ/v-deo.html Hope it helps you and thanks so much for watching! 🙏🏼
Hi my shoulders kind of vibrate or shake when I move it down (during adduction) I also feel weakness in my arm and hands can you please tell me what it is I also feel clicking in my shoulder and elbows. I can move my hands upward but it shakes when I move down. And I get pain sometimes but not much but there's area somewhere below shoulder blade where it's painful only when I press that area. Please can you help me.
They made my problem areas worse, because instead of addressing the weaknesses actually causing the problem, I put those muscles into stress positions that they weren't prepared for. Then I used gentle PNF to break up tension, used controlled rotations to open the joints and fill the muscles with blood, and then I engaged the weak muscles with careful, slow resistance band movements focusing on ranges that I wasn't comfortable reaching. Not hard.
I've been using the door architrave or wardrobe to hold my arms back whilst I lean forward, for years... my body usually lets me know when it needs it but I probably should do it more regularly. Thanks for introducing us to some other great exercises for better posture. I seem to slump my shoulders everywhere, standing or sitting and it makes my neck and headaches worse. Thanks so much for your help!
These are great. Thank you. At. 67 Ive been working on my posture for nearly 5 months. Physio yoga core and constantly being aware is starting to make a difference.
I will add these to my routine. After trying so many other things I’ve corrected most of my bad posture issues by doing various shoulder exercises with dumbbells. Nothing too heavy. The bent over shoulder row along with a few other weighted shoulder exercises has really helped. I will definitely add what you showed us here to what I’m already doing.
Sounds like you're on the right track, Rick! Start with these to open up your range of motion and then add the strengthening exercises to reinforce it! Good luck!
Thank you very much! I have a problem with posture and a crooked back. I recently decided to do something about it and I exercise for half an hour every day. After a month I see a slight improvement! I will definitely add your exercises to my routine.
I'm an older runner & when I see myself in pictures I'm so stooped when I'm running. It's awful I need to straighten up before it's too late. Hope these exercises will help. Thanks so much for your channel. 👍🙏👏👏
i have rounded shoulders at 31... these stretches are INTENSE... I now have hope for having a good posture... thank u so much... ive been doing a couple of execises for posture, but they dont come close to this... i had a deep opening of the chest that i never had in YEARS . wow. Im so glad i found this viedeo. thank u!
I have learned so much from all of your videos. Thank you so much for this vital information. Realize I was doing everything wrong and now I’m doing everything right. Thank you!!
Thank you for continuing to demonstrate the exercises while your voice over is explaining them. Definitely more efficient for viewing and understanding the range of motions and why it helps. 👍🏻
These videos are so helpful, thank you. Im curious what activities/sports you would recommend to maintain healthy mobility. Like, besides stretching and conditioning, what are some good activities that would go alongside these PT modules? Thanks so much for what you do, you’re doing a great job!
I want to mention some thing here that due to my shoulder posture, i have strain in my legs, kind of restless legs. But this is mainly due to my posture, because when i tried to do these exercises, i am feeling better. May be this is because of some nerve being pressed....earlier these issue were so chronic that if I had headache, i could not see even.
Hi, I will try these. These alleviate the radial nerve too. Nonetheless, I have always had forward rounded shoulders, and as a teen I had the showing bone behind the shoulder on the back.
Dr. Jared, thank you again for another very helpful video! I have been doing the high doorway stretch for a long time to help relieve tightness, but didn't know that they can also help correct my posture (along with your other recommended exercises). For someone who has terrible posture from extended desk work, this is SUPER helpful! Thank you!
Hello Sir, I recently heard about you that you have been helping many people recover from injuries…I am a student and plays cricket and I have been suffering from sciatica pain for few years…Sir , please can you help me…coz I have to sit on desk for long hours to study…sometime pain is less and sometime pain is unbearable..I have tried a lot of stretches but it’s just temporary relief…how can I permanently cure the pain?…So plz kindly help me🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think he has some videos on that. It's normally the opposite leg of the painful leg. So if your left side hurts the right side nerve is pinched. I truly hope you get the help you need. I had this issue in the past. Don't worry, it will get better.
Hey Dude, appreciate the video! Could i ask, What does it mean if for example during the first stretch, after about 10 seconds i feel my forearm or i guess my fingers going numb. and once i let go of the stretch, i feel blood flowing back to my fingers immediately.
I have been down with C56 hernited disc where pain radiates to the right side.. After treatment I am still feeling some numbness in my right hand thumb. Can you suggest some exercises to recover please I have been following your channel for some time ..
One problem I have is known8ng where my shoulders are supised to be . I've always been very self conscious about my posture. Where are they suposed to be ?
If any of you have seen results from this routine daily would you mind replying to this comment about how long approx it took to notice? I need motivation 😅
@tone and tighten I have a 2mm bulge in my spine L1 L5 and a 1 mm bulge in the L3 L4 am I still able to workout with this problem it’s my first time messing up and I don’t know ehat to avoid or what to do, also is this a permanent damage or can I fix this. Please help

There’s only ever videos of incredibly fit and flexible people performing these stretches which I understand, these are the people that know what they’re doing, but I, a middle aged, severely inflexible, who can’t perform basic stretches properly, can’t even get the stretches started because I am that in flexible, I feel like I need to see an overweight, stiff as hell older person trying to do them for it to make sense to me. I can’t do these. The doorframe ones I can enough, but the floor ones? My body just won’t do it. So how am I supposed to find success In fixing my posture when I can’t even do the stretches properly
Thank you and youtube for helping people that need help. Truly appreciate it and thank you again. Many people just run your pockets like a back alley bully with boogers hanging out. The world needs to watch your youtube channel !❤

Should we do these daily ? And hope long it takes for rounded shoulders to be fixed
Daily, and it can take as little as two-four weeks if staying consistent (he mentions it at the very last two mins of the vid) 😊
Do you think that damage can be reversed even at 68 if we exercise diligently? to get a really good posture back again.?
Thank you 💜
You're very welcome, Marta Sowińska! I hope they help you! Thanks for commenting.

No, that is not necessary.
