Okay, first I want to thank you for helping me build my concept of a way to play a cyberneticist. Instead of following your approach, I chose a path of self improvement(roleplay wise these are cybernetic enhancements) so I took Wellness, Fitness, Pain Tolerance, Energy Weapon Dissapation, Gymnastics, and Rejuvenation from the Physical Tree. On social I maxxed Persuasion and Diplomacy. On combat as I am the real weapon I only took the general skills, Ballistics, Lasers, and Demolitions. Only took Medicine with the concept of my cyberware makes me more efficient at healing. Only one rank in Boost pack and the starting point in security in the tech tree. Again my concept was using cybernetics to improve me so I am less reliant on the crutches of average warriors(read tech, armor and specialized weapon training.) So far it hasn't been bad in combat, I can also just use the best gear I find or purchase without needed to look for a specific weapon or armor.
Hey, this is awesome! The main thing I'm trying to do with these videos is show some awesome things you can do, and give you the tools needed for a better playthrough. Not really a prescribed instructional on how exactly to play. So glad you were able to take it an run with it. Sounds like a really cool concept :)
@@carn114 Well I had been wanting to do a Cyberneticist playthrough but struggling on how to approach, and your video was exactly what I needed to spur my thought processes on what exactly a cyberneticist would look like in my mind.
This was so super well done! I know I had so much fun during the YT live streams every Saturday. Definitely a killer build, and like the best ORIGINAL build for Starfield, period. Keep them coming!❤😎
Thanks! And, yeah, I agree. Glad to see some more positive, or atleast non-negative stuff show up in my feed now. Hoping the hate-train has punched itself out so we can concentrate on exploring everything the game has to offer :)
I am gonna take certain things from this video in consideration to my build though. Thanks for this video. I didnt think anyone else would ve interested in this class. Cyber Runner maybe but not this one. 👍
I have an extra traits mod and a more than 3 traits mod. I went * all or nothing - do 100% more damage but take 100% more damage. * berserker - do 5% more damage at 50% health additional 5% damage every 10% health loss. * cybernetic implants - require 50% less oxygen to perform physical activity but take 100% more EM damage. * freestar collective - cause im a browncoat * raised enlightened - cause im freestar * empath - only cause i really always liked that trait, doing things companions like temp increase combat effectiveness n vise versa. * mechanical minded - 10% to most ship systems and +1 to reactor energy but 3× more $ ship upgrades. (Good with machines/ bad with people). * taskmaster - systems with trained crew automatically repair when damage below 50% but crew cost twice as much to hire.
Sweet, that makes those traits actually significant for gameplay, and not just just dialog flavor. Can't wait to see where the modding community takes this game
You’re the first person other than myself that I’ve seen actually do this for some reason 😂 I know this is a month old but if you’re still playing you should try “backgrounds as traits” to go along with those, you can pick any background as a trait and it just allows you to gain the unique dialogue for each 😂 really helps with immersion like why would my guy have only done one thing his whole life and that’s all he can talk about lmaoo nah my guy is a drug addict mad scientist who got that way after being forced to be a xeno biologist during the war .. I added robotic body parts and different Chems and a whole new contraband system to make smuggling and drug dealing worth it as well 💀💀
How is your Damage Resistances so high?. I'm using Superior legendary Bounty Hunter: Armor, Helmet and Pack and my Damage Resistance is PHYS 576, EM 420 and ENGY 410. I'm level 331 and at NG+ 10 with almost all my skills maxed out and no follower. And all powers maxed out . Playing on xbox .
That's really good damage resistance, looks like you've upgraded your physical resistances via space suit crafting, so all good there. I think the one piece you're missing is the Reactive Shield Starborn power, which adds 400+ resistance while it's active, and it doesn't take too much star juice so you can keep casting as needed. It was my go-to power at high NG+ runs, since everything is so much more powerful there. You can also add more resistance with raw Alien Genetic Material, which adds another 500 Restistance, IIRC. Both temporary, BTW, but worth the boost, IMO.
Plus my cyberneticist is more fringe cyborg/grease monkey ex soldier rather than cyberpunk hacker so i dont identify with my character being physically weaker just socially weaker.
My cyberneticist is a legit drug fiend 😂 I’ve got twelve outposts across three systems gathering resources for the different chems I make and sell lmaoo my favorites are all drugs and a shotgun 🙏🏼 panacea to fix all the bones I’m constantly breaking, 02 shots to fix the side effects/s.t.e.v.e and a dozen others for the combat boosts hahahaha
Nanomachines! lol Yeah, pharmaceuticals are under-used in this game, just as chems were in FO4, and alchemy was in Skyrim. Panacea and other medications, especially, since you can boost your XP gain so much with higher level injuries and ailments now. Just gotta take a shot at the end of every battle, and you're good!
This build was awesome, keep ‘em coming especially as you are one of the only channels releasing builds
I've noticed that too, it's sad since I love build guides. No plans to stop here, but I'm just a guy with a job, so they might be a little slow.
Good to see someone made a role play build and considered mind state of a character for this game
Reminds me of my shenanigans in Skyrim
Heck yeah, the RP potential of this game is sadly under-used IMO.

I'm currently taking inspiration from this build and I'm having a blast, thank you for the video!
Awesome! Can't wait to dive back in with another build soon, myself.
This was so super well done! I know I had so much fun during the YT live streams every Saturday. Definitely a killer build, and like the best ORIGINAL build for Starfield, period. Keep them coming!❤😎
Thank you! I put a ton of work into this one. I love that it is appreciated. I definitely plan on doing more :)
You should do more starfield builds, this was really fun to watch
@doctor_anonymous7772 I am currently playing through one now. Could be a while, but more are definitely on the way. So many builds, so little time!
This was a much welcomed video. We do not get enough of this type of content for starfield
Thanks! And, yeah, I agree. Glad to see some more positive, or atleast non-negative stuff show up in my feed now. Hoping the hate-train has punched itself out so we can concentrate on exploring everything the game has to offer :)
Great build, Carn. I know there was a lot of work put into this. Looking forward to the future content.
Thank you, Eli!

Awesome, always glad to see someone get some use out of this!
This is awesome! Can't wait to try the Cyberneticist build!
Thanks so much, Icarus!
Looking great! :)
Thanks Caladran :)

Cool interpretation, I like it! Maybe a guy who worked on Mechs during the war?

God the game just looks so boring.
Gunfights, explosions, lasers, bullet time, drama, humor. Yep sounds pretty boring...
