I personally really like the fossils. Like I mentioned before, I love more abstract Pokemon designs. Plus, I am certain that everyone and their grandmothers have already told you about the origin of why the fossil Pokemon are mixed up like this in the first place.
Oh, also, hearing your comment at the end about not believing that early paleontologists screwed up - please, please just look at the Crystal Palace dinosaurs. Those clearly ain't right.
@@chrisjohnsen8448 The skeletons may have been mis-posed (see the Crystal Palace Iguanodon, Megalosaurus, etc) because they didn't know the postures of these ancient animals. But they certainly didn't mash together random skeletons together (except when OC Marsh put a Camarasaurus skull on a Brontosaurus body, but even then they're fairly closely related animals). Fish weren't smashed up with dinosaurs, that's for sure!

Dude!! I was also shiny hunting for magikarp when they announced the event!! Got a random shiny remoraid while hunting for it. But I did get 7 shiny magikarps in that event, so not entirely pissed. Hoping to trade them at a later date for other shinies. Hope other peeps abused the hell out of that event like I did lol

Honestly we should be questioning the odds, my first hunt in Sword was for Arrokuda, got a shiny Gyrados full odds before, and the thing is I found its evolution shiny Barraskewda. I'm currently at 2k+ encounters for a Skwovet, I've found a shiny Rookidie and Caterpie, I honestly do believe the 3% odds are correct. Btw whilst doing the Skwovet hunt I've been fainting anything else I encounter, and Skwovet has only been 25%, so 10k+ , really weird.
The games have a weird bug where the 3% chance only happens 1/512 of the time. Data miners have found the bug in the game along with the ultra shiny bug.

I haven't even got the shiny charm yet but I already have 7 from wild encounter (and 4 Magikarp). Most of the them were under 1000 i think only 2 or 3 were over 1000
as someone who hunts without the charm in this game, i believe serebii tbh. with no charm, murder method odds max out at 1/3561, and my hunts so far have been 911, 2867, 5188, 1288, and i have an ongoing one at almost 2800 currently. i can definitely see serebii being wrong and updating the number slightly in the future, but as of right now what hes saying matches up with my results (granted i only have four shinies so my sample size is kinda small, but still)

Apollosgotwrinkles Gaming no if you want to keep your kill streak, but the streak only goes up to 25 before it caps out. Even tho the streak only goes up to 25 before the shiny chance cant go any higher, it actually helps your shiny chances a lot (it’s a different thing from # battled)
Your whole rant about arctovish being unrealistic is just you completely missing the point of the fossil pokemon. They are based on a real life thing that happened in paleontology many years ago where different fossil parts were haphazardly slapped together by hacks just looking to get famous for discovering a new species. They arent MEANT to be realistic or make sense. Even the pokedex pokes fun at them when it said that Dracovish was an incredibly fast runner but that it also cant breath on land.

Bruh…you have to beat at least 500 to get the max Chance to get BRILLIANT Pokémon-and those Brilliant Pokémon have the increased chance to get shiny ✨! I believe that’s what it is!

The Pokedex counter maxes out at 999 but you reach max Shiny Odds at 500 encounters.
