I am unable to change color of a mesh grille piece on the Steiger4wd. It has the same mapping as the rest of the tractor but the texture is different. Steiger4wd/visuals/grid/gridRed. it has a different color variation in the Custom Shader. How do I change this color? Thank you, I appreciate the video.
Question, can we use the "82 Studios colour palette" I.E just using the colours from one of your mods for our own mods. And would we still be able to have them released if we did? I know they are just colours that in theory we could make ourselves but still thought its worth asking. Of course giving credit where credit is due.
David what do you do on tractors that don’t have the base material section. The one I’m trying to do don’t have that section and no matter how I add it I break the game and it won’t load.
I have so many questions that this video didnt answer. I was trying to make a mod have 2 different paints, one for the the frame and the other for the cab. I only got so far that the cab is paintable and some of the frame is. But no matter what i do, some front axle parts and the whole hood just doesnt get painted. They stay in a fixed blue color and I have no idea how that works

Nice work. I've been wanting to modify the paint damage texture but not sure exactly how to do it. Is this possible with the editor? Would I be able to add more textures that show up as the tractor gets older/worn out like the current chip/scratch texture?

@@legion6049 the texture that contains the wear and the dirt contains also the AO mask. You need a texturing software and some 3d modeling knowledge to make them
Hello 82! i have a question about the . Can you add a secondary option for a diffrent part of a tractor? im working on the MF3670 and i want to color the cabin aswell. but i cannot get it to work as i want
It depends on the part/material. If the part is unique and it's all located in the same UV segment then no, you cannot. You would need to send it to the blender/maya and move the parts that you want to paint to another uvsegment
I have a question: why all part can't be color changed? On CASE IH MAXXUM, the color of the fenders mounted on the thin wheels (the two-color one) cannot be changed. I can see that another moder also did not cope with it. After properly configuring the file (as it is in this video), the color of these fenders changes, but not the rest. If I remove the line in the code responsible for this fender, everything is ok, something conflicts with each other?
That's because of the default materialization made by Giants. The color changeable parts are the ones below the 0 line in the UVMap. Anything above are default materials, chrome, black metal, palladium plastic... Those don't change

Amazing tutorial series, I need some help getting the colour selection to work - it appears in game with my custom colours, but they don't apply to the Tractor as they should, it keeps the base texture on. Any help would be great!

The names of the colors are one side of the equation, then there is the RGB value plus the material value. Those are all custom on my end

@IrishWannabe it's called UDIM. Possibly fixed in the UVmap.
It's also possible that you haven't mapped the ColorMap in the basematerial

For that you need a bit more, a 3d model software and a texturing software
