You saved my life!! Our stove accidentally turned on when the crock pot was pushed on the stove and it burned the wire from crock pot and the ceramic leg. The burner I thought was ruined on our new stove, and it's not! Your solution worked!! Thank you so much!
I thought I'd share some information to help you understand what's going on, hopefully it's helpful. 1) The stains are caused by oil and grease. Cooking oil is obviously oil and greasy, once it burns it degrades and breaks down producing carbon (the byproduct of combustion) which then becomes the caked on grime you see on the stove. 2) All oils and greasees can be cleaned using degreasers, heat, and solvents; essentialy that is what dish soap is. 3) grease and oil is best cleaned up when hot or warm and that's also when solvents work best. The heat helps to break down the molecular structure of the oil/ grease allowing it to be deluded and thinned out with the solvent. 4) You don't need peroxide to clean the stove. You can simply use baking soda and white vinegar and add some dish soap if you want or not. This will form a CO2 reaction which will help to break up the grease and solvent that is caked on. You can cover it with paper towels which will absorb the solution soaking the stains and then leave it overnight for effortless cleanup the next day. 5) for an even more immediate and faster/effortless way to clean up the stove, simply scrape all loose caked on oil and grease with a sharp blade. Then you can use a compressed wool rotary polishing pad that you can attach onto the end of a drill and just use some aluminum/metal polish and polish the stove with it; it takes like 5 minutes. The stove top is made of glass and can be polished in the same manner which aluminum wheels and metal can be polished. If you have deeper surface scratches you can even use 1600 to 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sand the stove before polishing to get it back to a mirror like finish. Oh yeah, do not polish/sand the stove when it's warm make sure you do this when it's cold.
@@AJA_Productions you can do it cold but it might take a couple of attempts. definitely dont do it when the stove is very hot because it will burn the mixture into the stove. what i suggest is to slighlty heat up the stove (low temp), not hot but warm & then use a blade to scrape whatever loose gunk you can get off. Then use the baking soda & vingear mixture while the stove is still warm but starting to cool off & let it soak. How long depends on how soiled it is. If you still have soiling, you can slightly reheat the baking soda & vinegar mixture again before wiping it off which will make the gunk easier to wipe off. Basically you just want a little heat to help break up the gunk, hope that makes sense.
I have cleaned my stove same way and now im sorry i did it because it started with micro scratches to full damage of the stove. So each time something burned was harder and harder to clean off.Now with new stove i clean all spills imidiately (even if its water) and i use proper flat stove cleaner so my stove looks clean and shiny at all times
You made me so nervous using an X-acto blade instead of a razor blade in a holder. We bought a house with the glass stove top and I thought it was destroyed. Thankfully, I watched videos like yours and others and now know how to clean it. There are still some scratches (they do scratch), but most of it is burned on food. In all the videos, 2 applications were necessary. Thanks!
No it won’t scratch... it’s not necessary to use heat.. just the baking soda and lemon juice or vinegar and a SCRAPER:) one the is longer and plastic that holds the blade so u can side swipe it clear:)
I have a question. My stove top is different. It has the elevated burners on the outside. And the damage is in the middle of the counter. I can't apply heat. Would baking soda work?

Does the stove have to be cold for option 4?

BRO IT ACTUALLY WORKED u a real one fr 😹😹💯 saved me from getting my ass beat
Thank you love! I started a small grease fire and it ruined one of my burners.... I thought I was going to have to replace the whole stovetop
Thanks for the video. I just got mine yesterday and there’s 1 spot. I was gonna tell them to come get this high maintenance stove. Hahaha
Your videos have a very realistic feel to them. No extra theatrics. I appreciate that.

I can not heat, and apply to baking soda + vinegar and get a scraper. After the juices settle for a bit you can scrape it clean🥰
I started using baking soda scrubbing the bottoms of my pans with each use, it really helps that build up on the cooktop from happening again 😃
Add some peroxide and see how much better it works. Plus it's anti-bacterial
Try using vinegar with baking soda may work better than peroxide
Omg you have the exact same oven as me. Thanks
Thank you so much! It works
You should hold your razor at an angle.
Lay a towel over the Baking Soda and wet towel down with peroxide. Let soak overnight or longer. Keep wet with peroxide.
say wat say what now.... i am trying this right now. thank you for sharing
I’m soooo glad I found this video! Thanks girl! Those marks were getting the best of me lol
When you were removing the burn spots with the small metal did it scratch your top glass stove

Oh you should get a plastic holder to side scrape it easier ❤️
Make sure razor blades are new
A LIVE SAVER ❤
Thank you so much this really saved my life
Did you use vinegar?

What if I almost burned the whole house? How can I clean that?
🤣🤣🤣
add more baking soda
Thank you so much 😊
I think you just made mustard gas.

Baking powder and vinegar.
