Facts. Saw a recent documentary on the epidemic of shooting innocent and even rival gang members in New Orleans. The elders who take on mentoring young boys to grow up to do right, etc. all spoke of when they were in gangs up until about 1980, beefs were handled by fist fights, stealing rival property, etc....nothing life ending for most part...." And her bf just passed in April & she literally had just left his grave to leave her graduation stole on his grave because he was supposed to graduate this year as well. Pray for her mother because that was her ONLY child & also the city of Jackson, Mississippi. It’s senseless killings like this DAILY there 😔🙏🏾

I don't know how as a parent you get over this. This is Horrific. Living in Jackson is becoming impossible.
Never! My son was shot and killed in 2002 it gets easier sometimes but it never gets better. I feel for these parents unfortunately probably a single mom and they were each other's life.
WHY NOT? You don't get over it. You can't. It's not possible. When you lose a child, you lose your own life too. Sure life goes on and you survive but ultimately even tho there are good days, you live to see the child taken away from you in death and now in Heaven. I live for just that one day but I still have work to do wherever God calls me. So I try my best. It's not too much. It's all I can do.

I lost my daughter 3 years ago when she died as a result of a major fall she suffered a few years prior when she fell and hit her head on the concrete floor after falling out of of a bunk bed at a University in Michigan with her high school marching band practicing there. Desperately trying to help her all along, she began having seizures so they helped with that but none of the doctors could ever find out exactly what was wrong with her traumatic head injury. The moment I found her my life died too. Like you said, things get easier sometimes, I still have kids that need me and I'm here for everyone but it never has gotten better - it never will until I see her again when I die and reunite with her in Heaven. It's what I live for. If you'd like to know who she was while here, you can see her photos if you Google Image search Sophia Sara Miller. Her photos take up the first few rows of images. Not a day goes by. Not one. She would have wanted to hug you and tell you it's all going to be alright regarding your son. That's how she was. And you know, it's true. One day you too will be with your son in Heaven.

I get it..the news is going to tell you only so much, I hate that this happened to baby girl but we don't know what all she was involved in, especially since her boyfriend was gun down less than 2 months ago. This was not a random shooting..she was targeted. This is sad all the way around...

That is true, these animals pulling triggers have no respect for life. Not theirs or anyone else’s, all they know is violence. Their quality of life is no different whether it’s running the streets or locked down in prison. Children raised without active parenting just grow up to be larger, more violent children. Doesn’t matter race or region but it does happen the most in heavily populated lower income areas. Stop having babies out of boredom.
Half of these surveillance cameras don’t work. It’s pitiful. Rest In Peace. Gone wayyyy too soon. My heart goes out to the moms and families.

Does this sound to barbaric? When killers are caught, 1/2 hour court hearing, then hang them in front of the court house the same day. Spectators welcome. A deterrent is in order. This may slow things down a bit.
