I must say, this is the best CRAW tutorial. I am an avid beader/jewelry maker, but did have a hard time with the CRAW. I am doing a project that requires this stitch in part of it and I am just motoring along after seeing this tutorial. Thank you sooooo very much :)
Jill, You are so brilliant! Showing this stitch is the crystals cleared up the mystery for me. Then following up with seed beads made the stitch and steps so clear. I can’t thank you enough!
I have done CRAW before but it's been awhile. I was watching a beading video where the craw stitch was used. I watched the video and could not, for the life of me pick the stitch up. I stopped her video went back to yours and picked it right up. All I needed was a review. That just shows me how easy your teaching techniques are and how valuable your video's are, especially when reviewing a stitch. Thank you for all your wonderful video's and all the time you spend teaching us!
Oh my gosh, Jill you are amazing. I have watched dozens of videos on this stitch and couldn't grasp it, they all teach it vertically, Finally found one by you and you are teaching it horizontally, what a difference this makes, I finally got it. Thank you so much!
Thank You Jill. I have been struggling with this stitch and you made it clear for me. Thank You for using the light beads. I think that made it much better to see what you were doing.
Hi Jill, I have Watched this tutorial on how to do cubic Right-Angle Weave several times, as I`m left handed. I'm happy to say I got it, I got it!! Thanks Jill you are one of the best teachers on you tub.
Hey Jill, I've been bead weaving for about 2 years now, and have become fairly proficient, but CRAW has had me frustrated as anything. I've tried learning from diagrams in books and magazines, and other tutorial videos with no success. Now, after spending less than an hour watching, listening, pausing, and working along with you I have it sussed. It finally makes SENSE! Thank you so much Jill, I'm all set to craw and experiment with it. Kind regards, Claire in England Xxx.
Hi Jill, I am a brand new beader and loked at a few CRAW videos. Yours was the clearest and easiest to follow by far. I have to admit, the first couple of attempts to progress this stitch failed miserably and I ended up with about 8 crazy messed up size 8 bead balls and gave up. I got up the next morning and went straight to my craft room and gave it another go - hey presto all of a sudden I could see the 'fours' on all sides and away I went. I then decided to give it a go with size 11's and whoo hoo it worked an absolute treat!!! I am totally obsessed with beading at the moment and would like to thank you and all the other passionate beaders out there who take the time to put this free education out there :) Thank you so much, Karen
This is by far the clearest, most easy to understand explanation of cubic right angle weave that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. I have been beading for about 10yrs now but I am always watching videos for inspiration and tips on how to improve my technique. I have watched many, many videos on cubic RAW and even though it is a technique that I have done before, I tend to find myself confused and second guessing my own abilities. Your teaching method is flawless and I thank you for your time and the effort that you extend to us viewers through your videos. Please continue your fantastic work.
Jill, thanks for explaining CRAW so clearly! This stitch was driving me nuts trying to figure out. Love your videos and passion for teaching! THANK YOU!
I watched other videos for CRAW. Glad I came back to Jill's. It's the "taco" that does it! I love it and her way of teaching. I'm a self taught beader....but mostly a Jill Wiseman taught beader! Thanks!
Jill, thank you SO much for this tutorial! I have been beadweaving for a few years, and CRAW was one stitch I could not master. I have watched many video tutorials, but yours is the first one that made it clear to me. You're the best!
This is the most explanative cubic right angle tutorial I've ever seen. It's a great idea to begin with bigger beads which helped me to see clearly. Thanks for sharing!
You have a very good way of explaining and showing us how to do this. Thank you so much! I am just beginning my beading journey and really appreciate your “how to” videos!
You are a genius! I have tried this kind of pattern many, many times with no success! But your video was so helpful and once you see it, it all starts to make sense. So many other patterns are all over the place but yours is much easier to follow. Thank you
Thank you SO much for making this video! It is so easy to follow and WAY less complicated than the other methods I've seen! I'm in love with this technique now and can't wait to make some jewelry with it!
Thank you! I wish you could teach all the other people giving beading tutorials how to do it without goofy background noise and other annoying time wasters. You are such a PRO!
Wow! Thanks Jill! You made that look sooooo simple and easy to understand. I can't wait to try it! I love the way you explain WHY you are doing what you are doing.
I love explaining why - I think it makes folks understand what's going on better! And then they can also figure things out when they get stuck by reasoning through it. I'm glad you like it too!
This was the best instructions for CRAW that I have seen. Thank you for showing it so clearly! It's easy when you can actually see how it's done logically - and you did that beautifully!
Jill, I love your tutorials. You really do a great job explaining the steps. It is so easy to see. I love your speaking voice as well. For a hearing impaired individual, you are easy to understand, your voice is clear not muffled like some tutorials. Thank you for putting the tutorials out here for us.
Jill, thank you for this -- your video explained CRAW really clearly and made it much less confusing than the books I've been consulting thus far. I'll definitely check out your other beading tutorials!
thank you, I have watched a couple of tutorials on this same stich but your video is the one that was explained the best to me that made since so again thank you I really enjoy all of your videos and how you teach them is great❤
Hi Jill, you are my favorite teacher on beading. I love the way you explain each detail. You make it fun and so easy to follow. Keep up the excellent work. You Rock!!
Thank you!, thank you!, thank you! I am making a gift for a friend and the pattern uses cubic right angle weave with size 11 seed beads. After trying to make the first cube at least ten times, I was ready to give up and cry!. Thanks to your video, I get it! Now I can finish my little project and give my friend her birthday gift.
absolutely amazing how clearly and simply explained! now I am waiting for the next step where you continue building off the first set of blocks to make a wider strip. Thank you a million times Annalisa
Thank you so much for this video. I completed my very first bangle bracelet and my granddaughter absolutely loved it. Once I got the first cube done, the rest was easy. I used some cheap beads to practice with and it still turned out beautiful. Can't wait to use the good stuff. Again, thank you, you're a great teacher.
Excelllent tutorial! CRAW is challenging & your suggestion of starting with the firepolish size is perfect! In addition, you clearly demonstrate how maintaining consistent orientation ensures units can be constructed methodically. Great job! Your lighting & videography are superb! Thank you so much for sharing your talent! :) (BTW I have your book and love it!!)
I have been so afraid of craw bc other videos were not clear to me..but your and your generosity and genius self I went straight to work no problems and my necklace is on it's way with 11s thanks so much!!
Jill, thanks for always being there. I just had to review and "remember" how to do the CRAW. It is fun to share the time and Love to hear about "sticky-outies". I appreciate the thorough and clear work you do. Thanks is a small way of saying the joy of beading you give to many.
Thank you!! You are an awesome teacher. You speak clear and explain wonderfully . Please keep teaching different techniques. Your videos are at a perfect view . You are the best! Thanks again I will continue to watch and learn .
Thank you Jill! I watched the video 2x and started your Infinity Cuff with no difficulty. Your video is so clear and precise. I appreciate your precise directions as to which direction to sew and which way to turn the work. As someone else said, the video together with the drawings in the magazine made it all fall into place easily.
Thank you so much. This is the third video I watched and can finally see what's going on. I could follow the seed bead one better than I could the other. :)
Jill I've been trying forever to learn this . I've watched every video I can find and I always end up with a blob . I guess this one just won't compute with me . But it's so frustrating . You have a calming voice so I didn't scream at you like all the others . lol .
Thank you! I tried watching a different video demonstrating CRAW and it was so confusing. Your video was perfect. I like your verbiage as it relates to how I think....a sticky outie is a perfect description! Thanks!!
Jill, you are amazing!! I love your beading tutorial videos!! I bought a beading kit from Beads Gone Wild and I couldn't figure out how to do the cubic right angle weave from their instructions, so I searched for instructions online and I knew that you would be my first choice, from watching some of your other tutorials and knowing how helpful they were. Your instructions were perfect and now I have created my first few segments of the cubic right angle weave that I need for my bracelet, with the help of this video. Thank you so much!! :-)
Terrific video, Jill. I've been "afraid" of tackling this technique (although I've been playing with RAW for a long time), but this really made things much more clear. And I have to learn CRAW, and become reasonably comfortable with it over the next few months because I'm going to the Beader's Dream Retreat in October, and Marcia DaCoster is teaching a class that requires knowledge of CRAW. So I think I will be referring to your video more than once!
You are such a darling. i'm so glad i found you on youtube - was up last night trying to do the CRAW, i finally gave up cuz i was so frustrated. God bless you for all this inspiration you're giving out so freely. Mwah!
I cracked up at the "pretty big ole honker one" comment! That should be a meme about the lack of uniformity in seed beads. Thank you for the very clear tutorial! You are t3h awsumz!
Thank you! I am new to your channel and after seeing this video I had no hesitation in subscribing: it's one of the best tutorials I've watched for the CRAW technique. Clear explanation so, easy to understand and follow. You are a good, good teacher! Thaks again and regards from Italy. Antonella
Excellent tutorial. I don’t know why I thought I could substitute with 6/0’s instead of the 4mm beads, but that was a hot mess. So, I now have learned 2 lessons today. CRAW and the teacher really does know best. Lol. Thank you.
I agree! Just watched it and trying it today at our beading meeting. (Bead Society of Arkansas) Gonna "take" Jill with me so we can all play! Thanks Jill! Can't wait to see you in October! :D
Jill Wisemen is my favorite UA-cam beading teacher. She’s simply the BEST!! Thank you!
2 years later after watching your vid the first time. I finally get it after rewatching this. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SIMPLE EXPLANATION 😊😊😊😊
I must say, this is the best CRAW tutorial. I am an avid beader/jewelry maker, but did have a hard time with the CRAW. I am doing a project that requires this stitch in part of it and I am just motoring along after seeing this tutorial. Thank you sooooo very much :)
This was the BEST tutorial by far. I have watched other's and could not quite get the hang of it. Your way is easy! Thank you.
