Bill Connors playing with wild abandon! Just fantastic! You have gotten such a great, clean sound on this recording. Nice work!

This is great, an iconic band at the top of their game! Thank you very much!
Many people have probably wondered over the title "Captain Señor Mouse" I remember seeing a book of sheet music where Corea explained, in an introductory note, that "I met Señor Mouse at a hotel bar in London" and something on how the guy looked like he had been, I think, a fighter pilot, and so the man inspired the name. Jazz musicians have a habit of picking odd or chance names for their pieces - Miles Davis is a great example of this. :)

Yer welcome. So great to hear these guys. I ripped the audio from a homemade boot CD of the show a friend sent me for the video. This gold needs to be shared.😊👍💿

I have been loving these uploads with Bill Connors lately. Thank you!
EDIT: Why edit out "Sometime Ago" though? I want to hear everything as was!

Bill was something special. Too bad Chick was so controlling of him

What kills me about this performance is it was recorded within weeks of the RTF gig at Carnegie Hall opening for Herbie Hancock. What a weird gig that was! RTF played the album note for note..I could have stayed home! Fortunately Herbie and the Headhunters blew the roof off the place!

Sounds like Chick being in 100% control everything for that gig. He wanted Connors to play prescripted solos at other shows. Drove Bill crazy.
