It sucks so bad that you have had those experiences in gyms! I've found that it really depends on the gym and the people there. I was in a really small gym in Cardiff that was great and welcoming. Now I'm in a larger gym here in Hamburg but it's more expensive (which limits some of the more basic stupid staring monkeys) and I don't go at prime time so there's few people there and they're thankfully all really respectful. I find I need the gym to actually keep myself accountable (also it has a spa, so every time i go i also go to the spa and it's a nice treat).
I used to go to a really high end gym/leisure centre called David Lloyd. Expensive as he'll but it's the only gym I've ever felt comfortable in. That also had a spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, racket sport courts, etc. And it definitely attracted people who only care about themselves and didn't tolerate the staring monkeys. Nothing beat a dip in the pool or sauna or jacuzzi after a workout! Wish I could afford it still. Maybe one day I can go again. Spa is definitely a great motivator to keep going isnt it!
@@ashjvlogs ah no way I go to a David Lloyd! It's still crazy expensive but I try to work around that as my one health expense atm. Also as I'm studying again I get a student discount which helps massively
@MaikaRose no way! I loved it there, it really is one of the best gyms in the UK. Unfortunately quality comes with a price tag, but that discount must be a big help! What are you studying?
@@ashjvlogs yeah it's great tbf, I love the jaccuzi 😅. I'm in my last year of an Architecture BA. Need to do a Masters after, but hopefully that will only be another two years. these past three years have flown by honestly.
'but it was blue' is so relatable.
I can't help myself 🤣 i see blue and I wants it. 💙
@@ashjvlogs me and lavender 😂💜
