  • Meet the prisoners of Karachi Central Jail who are using art to financially support their loved ones while serving time. A single painting by Aijaz sold for Rs. 1.6 million, enabling him to sponsor his mother's Umrah pilgrimage.
Watch this report to learn how these prisoners transformed their lives through art. Inmate Aijaz shares: When I first arrived in jail, every night felt like Doomsday. I had nothing to do, and thoughts of my family haunted me. Then, I learned to create art pieces in the jail's art gallery.
Fellow inmate Adnan Qureshi, imprisoned for kidnapping for ransom, says: "I've been here for years. Now, I'm the head teacher at the jail's Music Academy, where I teach fellow inmates music." Reflecting on life in jail, Adnan adds: "Rainy days, Eid celebrations, or family memories trigger longing. The hardest part is learning of a loved one's passing and being unable to attend their funeral."
