The Baker did excellent! That handle even looks comfy. Its unique, no mistaking it for a Case, Kabar, Western, Cattaraugus or Marbles. Has it's own look. And awesome saw!
@@jimbusmaximus4624 yah! I was thinking of the Very Good Knife Company Huntsman with the problematic for me handle. This Baker pommel shape is not so swoopy, nor is it as massive as on the Lapp Knife, but it gives enough contour for my very large grip to lock onto securely. No hot spots, no vibration. I don't know that I've ever used a handle that was so unnoticeable. Even the aluminum and leather adjust very quickly to the hand's temperature. I also suspect that having the leather washers rough and unfinished like that has got to be better for more grip and less friction. I'm pretty convinced Milwaukee make the best electric chainsaws outside of the new chainsaw brand offerings that get very expensive. I also have the M12 hatchet and because it's so lightweight and one handed you can get a lot done with it. Like hold a long pole under one arm and cut lengths off it as if you were cutting a long cold stick of butter with a hot butter knife. Anyway I realize I was going to say that since I had it in mind to rehandle the The Huntsman so's I can use it without getting annoyed, I feel like this knife was sent to show me the way. Indeed not just for The Huntsman: if it turns out to be the best handle design (at least for my hand) well I guess it's out of patent and ready for a second swipe at the market!
