Recently at my local park, I saw an old man throw a piece a trash out of his car while he was just hanging out inside his parked car. I was leaving already but I stopped to say “Hey sir, thats not right. As you can see, this park was newly remodeled and it’s beautiful. You shouldn’t be littering.” I caught him off guard and he got out and said he’d pick it up. But then he quickly changed and started cursing at me in Spanish. I assume he felt embarrassed being called out by a young man. Lol I am Mexican American, so I understood what he said, and I told him have some respect for the people of this community and I just walked away. Moral of the story, most people don’t give a sh*t. But it is definitely our responsibility to correct people when they are doing wrong.
