Golf clubs in Malaysia should be the same as in UK. Weekends especially peak hours are reserved for members only. There are not many public golf courses in Malaysia, only golf clubs. To play in golf clubs, you only need to pay green fees ranging from one hundred to few hundreds ringgit for 18 holes which are cheaper compared to Japan or Korea but more expensive when compared to Australia. The few popular golf clubs in the Klang Valley are Templer Park, Selangor Golf Club (near Bukit Bintang), KLGCC (near Mont Kiara), Tropicana, Bukit Jalil and etc.
Try Bandar Utama golf course and driving range. Very basic 9 hole course for beginners. It’s within the 9 Utama compound, there’s a swimming pool where you can send your kids for swimming lesson too.
There are a few golf courses near DPC. KLGCC, KGPA, Tropicana, Saujana, Sri Selangor (Public). Those that requires membership price range typically from RM 35K - RM 100K depending on which (but try to buy it off the open market because will be much cheaper). For foreigners you may not want to own a club membership but do consider the Term Membership that is typically only cost RM 3K - 4K per annum (i.e. you can lease from those golfers that own the membership). For golf courses that further out from KL/PJ like in different nearby states (Seremban, Melaka etc.) club membership can be as low as RM 15K ( for local).
if you owned a premier/platinum/world/infinite or similar above status credit card, you may phone the bank customer service to check on their benifits on the golf agenda.
Malaysia has many well designed golf courses, and many golf enthusiasts take the trouble to fly over to enjoy the courses and its beautiful locations around the country.
The course at Awana is quite soggy. One will often find golf balls getting plugged (sunk into soft ground, and disappear), shoes getting soaked and mud flying at one's face and attire. Nice surrounding but does not offer a pleasant round of golf. Unless the management there has improved the course's drainage system.
We are hot and rain throughout a year. Like swimming pool, It's practically easy to maintain a golf course compare to 4 seasons countries 😅 Malaysia are over supply with it, but unfortunately we never have a world champion 😂
Your swing is not align plane. Golf is not about hitting the ball but while your body swing at correct path, your club will scoop the ball to where your club face contact the balls.
Why not see if there are female instructors? Women have a lower center of gravity than men so understanding body mechanics is important. Maybe there are good UA-cam videos from easy to learn instructors and golfing exercises to prepare your muscles to prevent injuries. Swing from your hips, not so much your arms. (Not sideways like a cricket bat). Your arms are an extension of your hips to guide the ball and follow through.

@@yellowbear00 There are many golf course open for public , you just need to drive slightly further away.

KLGCC,Glenmarrie Courts,Tropicana GCC.
KLGCC , super nice golf course , top golf course in Malaysia.
KGPA not bad too😁
Another spot would be KLGCC. That’s possibly the grandest ground in KL

Many Japanese retired over here just because of golf…… 🎉🎉🎉

Still cheap
Good

LPGA event at KLGCC this weekend to see the best players & inspired to play better golf! Enjoy⛳️🏌️♀️

Malaysia Shooting Club, Selangor Shooting Association
