Astaroth 1st costume feel like an incomplete monster, he has a heart exposed, no mouth, no eyes while this one the 2nd one is like a complete version, he has a mouth with full teeth, no heart exposed, he probably has eyes beyond the mask.

Nightmare13 the way Astroth talks in soul calibur 2 feels like a beast. Soul calibur 3 he is just a demon the way he speaks. And soul calibur 4 he sounds like a dumbed down Titen. But by number 5 he just sounds like a failed reboot

I've played 2, 3, 4, and a bit of 5. And I have to say for English voice acting, I prefer this Ashtaroth to any of the others. That distinctive deep and intimidating voice is pretty cool and at times, hilarious. "IT WILL RAIN BLOOD TODAY" is probably my favorite line same with "BEGONE YOU SCUM!" As an aside note in general, I also prefer the reverberating effect on all the characters' death cries. Shame they took that out of the other games.
