    My solution for 34:52 - Boulder mech to F3 fire on C3 placing rock to block C2 firing line and freeing hook mech. Hook Mech to A5, hook bouncer alpha to B2 dust. Whip to E6 attack to make dust.

      oh yeah look at that, maybe there's something i'm missing but that looks like a perfect solution. crazy that there's enough lines in this game that i can spend that much time analyzing lines and not find the perfect one, but it did exist.

    Very nice. You should look for more Vek kills though. The turn at 24:40 had another solution that may have been better.
    Lightning mech to F6. 2 damage to wasp. Grapple mech to E3. Grab the scion. The alpha goes first and kills the scion which kills the 1 HP alpha and the wasp. That last alpha wasp can then be pushed off of the building by the rock mech going to A8 and rocking A2. Only missed move I saw though!
    Loving the content! Love ITB!

      that looks strong yeah, some of the turns get incredibly complex but effecting turns by setting up ahead of time seems important, like take 1 now to take less later sort of ideas

    Awesome gameplay. Probably my favorite squad. You actually could have blocked 4 at ~10:00 if you used the Hook to pull the boulder instead of terraforming it!

    Hold up…at 14:56, is the third point of damage that takes out the Alpha Hornet because of the Psion dying or is it a Blitzkreig thing somehow? Honest question as I’m new to the game but can’t seem to turn it off in my spare time now 😂 Just trying to figure out the next squad I’m buying 🤙🏼
    Never mind…I’ve only been playing a few days and didn’t realize that when the Psion that gives the extra point of HP dies it means -1 HP to all the enemies 🤪

    Hey Voyix. Just started watching the series and I'm finding the game quite interesting? Interesting enough that I might actually buy it. I just have a couple of questions, if you would indulge me.
    1) I've heard that this game (even on easy) is quite brutal. Is this true in your opinion? Do you think that every run is winnable, or is it ay the mercy of RNG?
    2) What sort of meta-progression (if any) does this game have?

      1) The game is not THAT hard on easy it's just a lot to get used to when familiarizing yourself with the mechanics. You are at the mercy of RNG to a degree but how you position your units initially is pretty important and you can find yourself in a bad spot very quickly especially at harder difficulties. Positioning is very important and so is environment manipulation. I'd say most runs feel winnable, at least at the normal/hard difficulty and when I lose I can usually tell where the mistakes were. There's a lot of experimentation with different pilots to learn which synergises well or poorly with your mechs.
      2) There is only meta-progression with your pilots and your squads. Unlocking new pilots, earning pilot abilities and unlocking squads. Squads and pilots are permanent unlocks, pilot abilities can be lost and regained but what you get is random.

    I'll never understand why people consider the easiest mission of them all (the train one) to be difficult.
    It's 3 effing turns.

      the train can only take 1 hit and i have seen most of the times i take it be like "oh 4 enemies are hitting the train and also it is blocking me from getting into position to stop them" the run over effect that kills the train also kind of just blocks off like 5 tiles, probably it's not so bad if you have good mobility around the map, or you just don't care about the bonus objective

      @@Voyix There's no "you don't care about the bonus objective". There's only a perfect island or a restart.
      That said, that's probably the only mission I've never failed.
      Block Vek from spawning is WAY HARDER.

      i think we're going to have to agree to disagree, i don't think i've ever failed blocking vek, maybe it's a play style/team choice thing

      A thing to keep in mind, the lightning whip can kill the train if it chains to it. So yeah, I always avoid the train when using this squad.
