i know Amir is from broadway but I am so amazed and in love with the way he sings Alastors part with so much rage and annoyance, you could really feel it from how he sings.
He is actually the only cast member *not* from Broadway-he’s done regional shows like at the Hollywood Bowl but he has never done full Broadway. I listened to an interview with him shortly before this leak surfaced where he mentioned being self-conscious doing a duet with someone really talented, but that he pushed himself a lot this season and gave it his all… he definitely showed he’s worthy of his place in the cast here 💜

For starters this is just a leak, we still don't know how it's going to play out or how Rosie's character will be used after this. Also, just because Rosie isn’t outwardly cruel o violent like Valentino, it doesn't mean that she's necessarily "better" than him in the moral sense, it just means that she's smarter and better at manipulating others and probably knows the importance of having a good public image, in this song we have her calling Alastor, a pet, telling him he's in her zoo and there's the whole visuals of him as a puppet, it's all very dehumanizing, he's basically enslaved to her (which also plays on him having been mixed-race in his life) and just because Alastor is far from a good guy it doesn't mean he or anyone deserves such treatment, that's kinda part of the whole foundation of the show, that even bad people deserve to be treated well, if we want them to become better people that is.
It makes sense, and for whoever says that shes not powerful enough. She has a whole town, and as evidence has a clothes store (reference to how alastor was forced to smile with stitches), and has similar color palette to him. She might not just be as cocky as him with her powers just like Carmila wasnt untill we found out that she killed an angel, and still she tried to hide it .
i feel in song it implies that she might be how he gained his power. he was her pet since they met and is requesting that she fixes his staff meaning the power from it isn't actually his and it's just a tool. likely was given to him by her in order to do her errands. explains how he got power so quickly. he had the backing of an overlord.
I'm surprised at how smart Rosie is. She created a scapegoat, uses him to do dirty deeds, and pretends to be a nice aunt who is always happy to help. Scary lady.
What’s especially funny is that looking back on Season One, there is a LOT of foreshadowing towards it being Rosie, which barely anyone picked up on (instead focusing on the red herring that was Lilith).

The second line, “Big talk for someone else who’s on a fucking leash.” This line expresses that Husk knows about Alastors deal, and most likely who he made it with. What these two lines and this leak tell me at least is that both of these events, Alastors deal and his disappearance are either completely irrelevant to each other, or more possibly that Rosie is working with Lilith and sent Alastor to assist her in some way. Lilith and Alastor being gone for the same amount of time is definitely not a coincidence.

You guys are surprised while I had been wondering which of these two owns who, since they seem to have master-servant banter at the time Rosie said "I know you're an ace in the hole" and Alistar tolerated that. Plus it made sense that these two are linked because they're both cannibals with an appeal for old-time style. I mean in the episode “Murder family”in Helluva Boss (which takes place in the same universe) Martha and her family seems to be at least partial cannibals and possibly followers of Roo (“May the root of evil be honored as we continue thou work” ). If Roo = Root of Evil it may be the case that souls owned by her develops cannibalistic cravings, and Rosie is literally the leader of Cannibal Town so…😉
Plus the first eleven seconds of “Overture” (the first Amazon Prime Video episode of ‘Hazbin Hotel’) briefly showed that Good (God) and Evil are actual physical characters in this series - keeping this in-mind, the story that follows seems to show Evil possess Eve when Lilith and Lucifer give her the apple. To say it seems Rosie may also be Eve, adding new context to why Alastor genuinely thought he could beat him, and why Adam’s death was in no-way a good thing for anyone.

Unfortunately for him though he seems to forget that he’s not the only one with his own agenda ;) Her not helping him more in the battle against Adam could definitely imply that she for whatever reason doesn’t want Adam dead. Maybe him and the exterminations served her purpose of spreading evil throughout creation somehow. I could even imagine her sending Alastor to the hotel, not to help Charlie but to sabotage her in the long term (he just needed to gain hers and Vaggie’s trust first) since redemption if anything must be the ultimate threat to the embodiment of evil.
Rosie? That is such a random choice. Like why her from all the sinners? We don't even know her that much. I mean i guess that will more interesting like her motivation, backstory etc. but if it doesn't affect the story than this is disappointing.

Something I don’t get is that alastors soul is owned by Rosie but he’s still an overlord but husks soul is owned by alastor and he’s no longer an overlord
It's hinted that husk gambled his power away. Possibly after loosing it he wanted it back so he makes deal with alastor. But alastor probably tricked him without giving his power back. Maybe husk even gambled his power away to alastor and got tricked into deal on the promise of alastor restoring it.

i'm pretty sure alistor made the deal before he ever gained power. He was her pet since they met. which could align with how he got so much power quickly. he meets her, she promises to give him power and he kills the other overlords who would have been her competition while no one suspects her. She keeps a healthy unfearful reputation while alistor acts as the house hound.

Her not helping him more in the battle against Adam could definitely imply that she for whatever reason doesn’t want Adam dead. Maybe him and the exterminations served her purpose of spreading evil throughout creation somehow. I could even imagine her sending Alastor to the hotel, not to help Charlie but to sabotage her in the long term (he just needed to gain hers and Vaggie’s trust first) since redemption if anything must be the ultimate threat to the embodiment of evil.
