great observation/tip about accessing the eMMc memory via wifi cheers! BTW I recommend that users setup a static IP (in their router's DHCP server) for the ASIAir (and the mount - hand controller) making it automatic to connect the AIR and the mount to wifi n/w allowing both wifi mount control and access to the ASIAir directly from anywhere on your home n/w. I personally use a powerline+wifi access point (outside) to enable the AM5+ASIAir to connect to each other and to control the ASIAir from an iPad.
It is a perfect camera to replace a DSLR for mobile lens-based imaging. I bought one to use with sigma's 28mm 40mm and 105mm ART lenses on an AM3 mount. All that fits in a carry-on bag. The only hassle is that I have to use a nikon camera to set the aperture by pulling the battery prior to attaching to the ZWO.
Can I use a separate guide camera if I wanted, due to imaging circle limitations, in a similar way to the 2600mc duo, and have the 2600mc Air control the separate guide camera instead of the built-in one?
Is it possible to use a separate ASI Air Plus to control the imaging and/or guide camera in the 2600MC Air 'bypassing' the built in Air if you wanted to? Not sure why you would do this, but can you?
How could I use this camera with other brand mounts(celestron, skywatcher)? And can I use zwo eaf with this camera? Should I buy this camera as owner of C11 And EQ6 R mount?
Can you plug a USB thumb drive into one of the USB ports of the 2600MC Air to have it save image data on it instead of it's internal memory? (you can do this with the ASI Air Plus and mini, correct?)
I appreciate you explaining the product, helps some simple person like me understand :P
you'll soon be an expert watching my videos :)
Must have it! 🤪Thanks Simon for another great review 😍
veyr welcome
Well done. New setups and travelers will love this.
yup I really think so too Bob!

Nice review. Would this camera work with the HEQ 5 pro?
sure - it will run that mount over USB fine
@ Thank you
Great vidio.
Would have loved it if they do it in a 2600 colour then you can still use very short narrow band filters
I dont see a mono version yet sorry
i hope you can make more about your gear (Prima Luce Lab equipment!!!)
more coming yes :) been a tough 2024 but def more coming very soon !
When is the camera rotator going to be released?
being worked on .... before end of the year it will be in your hands
@@TeamAstroworkz Any ballpark idea on Rotator Cost???
not yet sorry but knowing ZWO .. competitive :)
Can this unit be used on Astrophysics mounts, ie. AP1100 mount?
there's mount entries for AP mounts using GTO CP2/CP3 and CP4 mounts plus a model legacy connecting via USB to the 2600 AIR
Will there be mono version? 🤞🤞
not sure at this point .. as I said in the video .. depends on demand I guess

yup absolutely you can change the device in the guide cam to another camera - I've done the same

I replied via the ZWO desk but no ... only via ALPACA and ASCOM

yes it supports the same mounts as a normal ASIAIR can - yes the EAF plugs into the USB port on the camera same as if plugging into an ASIAIR

yes you can
So if I were to add a USB Bluetooth dongle to my ASI ASiair Plus 256G, would that now enable me to control an AM3 or AM5N via Bluetooth?
i'll have some thing to share on that later in the week so stay tuned
Don’t understand, why they put it in the cam instead of into the AM5N….
no a lot of space in the AM series bodies thats for sure ... its not a bad idea though .. has been thought about I can tell you
Did you say, you are testing a new AM3N ??
not yet ... I am hoping :)
I would kill for a 2600 Duo that has a rotating pair of sensors. No flexure rotation! Just rotate the sensor and the Duo chip!
nice thought :)
Am3 n confirmed.
3N would be a bit of a rebuild ... theres a lot more going on than just sticking a saddle on it .. the AM5N is totally redesigned
@@TeamAstroworkz so "no" then?
@@TeamAstroworkz I think you mistakenly mentioned "AM5 and AM3N" at the very end of your video... got our hopes up!
@@larrycable984 ohh ..sorry yeah . . One can hope :)
