- IT'S HERE! College Football 25 has arrived and this is my first Dynasty series using the Miami Hurricanes. Miami was once a college football powerhouse, but those days are long behind us. The Canes need someone that can restore this program and in this Dynasty we will look to rebuild Miami into the best team in CFB once again.
This Dynasty Rebuild should move at a fast pace. The emphasis is on the team building, with much of the time spent on recruiting and managing the roster. We do watch games in a CPU vs CPU setting to maximize the importance of player ratings, traits, and abilities. We will be simulating many games as well to speed up the pace and allow us to develop the team over many seasons.

Maybe experimenting with a new playbook isnt the best idea for the playoffs 🤣
I was thinking the same thing. If EA was trustworthy maybe but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Go back to how it was Cane. No way you edit a playbook for more runs and come out throwing 14 times to start the game. The playbook is clearly broken. GO BACK AND DON'T TOUCH IT. Loving the series.

He wanted to emphasize the run more. That's something you would be able to do as a coach.. the only way to do that in CPU vs CPU is through the gameplan
Loving the series and how differently slow sim plays from Buffalo. It leads to a lot of… interesting results.
The number of bad sacks felt like Kunalic’s traits and style coming together in the worst way. Paranoid + Scrambler + Aggressive. Feels pressure, tries to be aggressive and run/roll out and run directly into defender for 8-10 yard sack. Must’ve happened at least 4 times.
I have never ever in over a decade of Cane viewership seen the AI more determined to make him lose. And he wasn't even technically playing!

On that Jaden Greathouse TD, EA broke press coverage with the last update, most of the time if it’s a go route the corner will just let the WR run right by him without touching him. Happened to me about 6 times yesterday in my dynasty
Incredible how every update just breaks something, idk why I had any real hope for this game because it is EA but I guess the good base that 14 had and just nostalgia got to me and thought this game would be amazing (still the best sports game I have played in awhile but feels like EA is doing more to break this game than they do with madden)
@josh_richards nostalgia blinds us to how bad 14 actually was. They were headed down this path starting in 2012

The gameplay was good before the new update, those 4 picks in a row by both teams were brutal and then the CB just letting the ND WR run right by him. Kunalic not throwing the ball away and running into like 4 sacks
Cane, I’m usually a custom slider guy for cpu vs cpu, but I tried out your all pro/all American default in M24 and really enjoyed it. However, in this game, I just can’t. Between the crazy high pick count and crazy high sack counts, I had to go back to custom sliders. By all means they don’t make the game perfect, but definitely help to mitigate the issues and make the game much more fun to watch
Transfer Portal Left Tackle if Kunalic is going to handle pressure like that
Or your current projected tackles might need to switch sides based on the passing attributes and traits
Bryce Young is also insane in this game, did a ND dynasty and he had 26 sacks and won the Heisman for me on Heisman difficulty and I didn’t user him a single time.
This series really really makes me hope and wish that you improve your D-line as much as a you can in the Buffalo series. Blount and Lightfoot are sooooo dominant.

I definitely agree on the ai qbs getting worse this update definitely didn't help
Think about it. The rules of momentum carrying you into the end zone on an interception should have applied, you wouldn't have started that drive at the one and got the safety , gave them the ball back. You lost by one point. That call goes correctly (thanks EA) and we're in the semis.

I feel like the closer it gets to a title update the worse the QB AI is. My QB in my slow sim dynasty was AWFUL a couple of days before the update so I took some time off. Then when I came back after the update they're playing a lot better

Also AI: Suddenly decides this would be the perfect time to keep throwing.
Love the series Cane, but man really hope EA cries something with this AI because it’s pretty tough to watch.

Actually on that Interception that’s actually a rule. If your momentum takes you into the end zone within 5 yards you get the ball at the spot you caught the interception
Kunalic really sold. Maybe need to look at the Portal for a replacement

Maybe put 2 stars on a few of your running plays you like for 1st down scenerios...just a thought.
Also you can see our qb has paranoia under pressure. Could have thrown the ball away at least twice instead of taking the sack & knocking us out of scoring position.

Kunalic has taken way too many huge sacks all season, it really came back to bite us in the end

not sure if you saw but when you were checking ACC stats it listed your offensive scheme as air raid. That might be conflicting with you wanting the team to have a run heavy identity
Winning and losing balancing on a bad safety is craaaazy.
Maybe bumping the pass protection slider could be a good idea. There's way too much sacks and Qbs are atrocious at outrunning pressure.

One thing that I’ve noticed is that mark fletcher is a really good pass blocker.
I doubt it matters that much (I think the bigger issue was the gameplay being weirder than normal. the usual issues which like Kunalic taking too many sacks, even for his archetype the pass heavy approach, were pretty exacerbated) but I'd still change the offensive scheme away from "Air raid", just to see if that does anything

I'll say it again. Kunalic wins the Heisman (if Cane will allow him to pass) and leads The U to a natty in his Junior season
Don't let the bad playcalling and QB AI distract you from the fact that if Willie Shankbo doesn't miss that first field goal, you're looking at a W.

On one hand I thought Kulanic played a great game but those sacks were so bad he took felt like he could have easily gotten rid of it a few times before getting sacked. But some of the weird stuff that happened like the three back to back INT's make me think i should wait to start my slow sim Dynasty. But it was a exciting and very closely played game. Also maybe you have done extensive testing but you have most plays set to 1 star rating and the tool tip says the higher the star rating on the play is the ones that are called more often So that might be your issue. But i feel if the ai ran more the game would have a totally different outcome cause the line isnt really great for running it seems always getting bad losses

It seems they took the intelligence part out of the AI in this game now. They need to fix this, it’s rough watching these decisions the computer makes.

Fr I watched episode 1 of this series and they didn't throw ints. Before all the patches, the qbs were way better and smarter.
EA gonna EA. That and the 2020s mindset of keep changing something until you make it worse while claiming it's really much better.

CPU play calling is so bad...the back to back drives with interceptions when up by two scores and 5 minutes left to play is inexplicable.

Kunalick's sense of pressure was awful. And the LT could not block to save his life. This needs to improve next season, otherwise it'll be another losing season.

He has his playbook set to run heavy and they were barely running at the start as u can see , u put 2 & 2 together instead of commenting something without even thinking on why mrhurricane is confused to why his team isn’t running the ball and passing consistently so much at the start

The quarter back AI is genuinely awful, that last pick is just such a late throw and it’s too much of a common occurrence as well as just throwing picks to a linebacker that’s sitting in the middle of the field and didn’t even blitz fake or do anything special. Ik that kunalic has some “interesting” traits that expedite that but even the opposing QB’s throw some truely head scratching passes that make zero sense even at the college level.
If you insist on sticking to the ridiculous not talking guys into coming back "rule" at least hit the portal hard at OL and DB with top level talent
I love this series but NCAA is trying really hard to ruin it with all these updates and patches. They fix one thing and ruin another thing in the process

Not a good week for Cane's teams. Cardinals blow it in Game 5, UTSA bodies Buffalo and Miami salts it away against Notre Dame. Perhaps the most forgettable week in the history of this channel.

It’s very odd so coach suggestions is where the ai gets is play calling from in slow sim and at 8:51 it was all passes. Wonder what happened
